It took until Shadow for me to finally grow on him. He really annoyed me in the first two books.

He’s a decent charecter. I’m glad that he finally stood up for himself though when he got his warrior name.

I didn't really like him at first, but he has started to grow on me. He had a lot of character development in Shadow.

He is one of my favorite characters. I can relate to him a lot. Juniperclaw, Nightheart, and Rootspring are tied for my favorite character.

He gets better at the end of Shadow, although I think the real test will be how he handles himself in Thunder. Not a big fan of his character, although I can understand why others like him.

I like him alot, and I will forever be annoyed with how the Clan kept constantly pushing legacies on him, and especially how Squirrelflight and Sparkpelt treated him. I’m kind of annoyed that he basically had to apologize to them for how they treated him and hardly apologized in return to him, but I hope him and Sunbeam work out, I like them.

I like Nightheart and I'm so glad that him and Sparkpelt were finally able to talk things out properly at the end of Shadow. Really hoping that their relationship as mother and son will continue to heal and not regress again during the rest of ASC.

Nightheart really annoyed me in the first two ASC books and the beginning of Shadow. But I really liked his development throughout Shadow and I like him much more now. I was never really a big fan of his relationship with Sunbeam though.

I like him, but that's about it. I think he's a good character with good story beats but he's not in my top favourites.

They've made everyone in ThunderClan OOC just so they can be jerks to Nightheart. Firestar is Nightheart's great-grandfather - neither Nightheart nor his parents ever met Firestar. If there's someone who should be pressured to be like Firestar, it'd be Squirrelflight and Leafpool, and that never happened. Stretching it would be Lion/Jay/Holly - that never happened to them. And Sparkpelt mentioned that she and Alderheart were pressured to be like Firestar, but that's never shown in any of the books, except maybe when Graystripe mentions that he thought a good name for her would be Sparkfire. Even then, they've still never met Firestar, and if there's someone they should pressure to be like, it'd be their father, Bramblestar. Nightheart is basically a character with an extremely stretched plot line because the editors didn't know what to do with him. He's a brat and complains that he's doing apprentice duties which is established that many young warriors do. For someone who doesn't want to be compared to Firestar, he acts like he should be. I don't have any sympathy for him, not when he's whining because he's doing apprentice duties, and again because it doesn't make sense that ThunderClan would pressure him to be like Firestar. Why not Finchlight, too? Finchlight's his sister, she should be struggling equally but there's no implication that she does.

I was never really a big fan of his relationship with Sunbeam though. Yeah I'm really not a fan of it either. He used her to get away from ThunderClan without even discussing his feelings for her- I'm yet to be decided on how much he actually does care for her. I would say he cares for her...... but idk. I think it's the way he came to ShadowClan proclaiming his desire to be mates gave me the ick

At first he was ok, and then he started to grow on me, but when I was finishing Shadow and saw he failed his tasks on purpose I wanted to scream. And then I was sorta glad that Sunbeam came to ThunderClan.

Didn't like him much in the first two books since he just didn't care much how his actions affected others, complained over the most trivial things, lashed out at people trying to help him, and just didn't communicate his feelings well. ThunderClan wasn't treating him the best either, but it was just frustrating to read. In Shadow though, his maturity really surprised me and I'm glad he realised he wasn't treating cats the best, and wanted to be better. And likewise, his family acknowledging their own faults. Hoping that development continues on in the second half since he has a lot of potential to grow.

Seems like I have a bit to look forward to in Shadow! He has been a bit annoying to me so far (he whines a lot) but also his family doesn't treat him the best so I kinda get his resentment. I guess I just hadn't warmed up to him but now I'm excited to see where his character goes!

I didn't like how he acted like a brat in the first couple books. I'm glad he slightly matured. Hopefully he gets better in the later books.
