"Will you move into the leader's den with me? I think it'd be lonely in there by myself. I can't imagine how Scarstar did it for so many moons." Sagefoot whispered, almost scared to put so much reality into becoming leader. "I have thought about how this means we will probably never get to have kits again." she mewed voice tinged with sadness.

Sagefoot whispered, almost scared to put so much reality into becoming leader. "I have thought about how this means we will probably never get to have kits again." she mewed voice tinged with sadness. “Of course I will. I wouldn’t leave you to sleep alone, especially in that den.” Stonepath promised, calm and gentle. He felt himself ache for her plight, assuring her. “Whether or not we have anymore kits is up to you. If our two now are enough, then they are enough. If you want more, then I am sure you could have them. Even as a leader, there’s no code saying you couldn’t. You can lead the Clan, and you know I would happily care for the kits if you needed to attend to duties.” He touched his muzzle to hers. “No matter what, we’re in this together.”

Sagefoot nuzzled against Stonepath, "Thank you for listening to me. I always know I can count on you to talk me through my thoughts with logic and grace. I hope one day I can return the favor when you need it." She purred softly, tapping her nose against his, "I picked a good mate it seems, he's really smart. Handsome too."

You think I’m handsome? And smart? You really know how to make a tom feel special, deputy of Windclan.”

Sagefoot pawed playfully at him, a soft purr sounding from the she-cat. "I thought you were handsome and smart before I was the deputy of Windclan. Just wait until I tell you how good of a father you are and how dedicated to our clan I think you are."

Stonepath chuckled, nudging Sagefoot's shoulder before he gave her a warm look. "Larkpaw and Juniperpaw get bigger everyday. It's almost unreal, knowing that they came from us. Were once the size of small stones. But I can see that they're going to become such brilliant Windclan Warriors. I couldn't be happier, with the family I have, and the Clan I'm in." He assured.

"Our daughters are pretty great." Sagefoot agreed. "It warms my heart to see how much they've learned and how excited they are to go into the tunnels. I hope they never lose that spark of joy."

"Our daughters are pretty great." Sagefoot agreed. "It warms my heart to see how much they've learned and how excited they are to go into the tunnels. I hope they never lose that spark of joy." "It's my greatest fear, to ever see them lose it." Stonepath murmured lightly, shaking his head to clear the miserable thought from his mind. "Maybe we can see if they'll show us what they've learned so far. Like a training session, with you and me, and them." He offered.

Sagefoot purred, "I would like that, like that first session we took them out on when they were first apprenticed. I know you said Juniperpaw was tired earlier, do you think they'd be up for it now?"

I know you said Juniperpaw was tired earlier, do you think they'd be up for it now?" “I’d imagine they are. They both tend to have alot of energy when they’re doing something fun.” Stonepath mused, lifting to his paws. “Let’s go see how they’re doing.”

Larkpaw hummed quietly to herself as she rearranged her nest, trying hard not to wake up Juniperpaw beside her.
Sagefoot rose to her paws after one more nuzzle against Stonepath, crossing the camp toward the apprentice's den. "Larkpaw? Juniperpaw?"

Juniperpaw opened her eyed slowly as she heard her mother’s voice. She lifted her head, yawning a bit as she looked at Larkpaw, before she tipped her head at Sagefoot. “Sorry. I was sleeping. Did I miss a patrol?” She gasped, suddenly looking nervous.
“Nothing like that.” Stonepath mewed calmly, soothing her fears as he mewed. “Your mother and I just wanted to see if you two would like to show us what you’ve learned so far.”

Sagefoot nodded, smiling between their daughters. "Both of us, it's been a while since the four of us got to do something together."

"Both of us, it's been a while since the four of us got to do something together." Juniperpaw seemed to perk up at that, excited to spend some time with both her mother and her father. She wanted to show them just how much Birchstep had taught her. She quickly pulled to her paws. “I’m up! I’ll go!”

Sagefoot laughed brightly, touching her nose to each of their heads. "I'm sure you have, I'm eager to see everything."

"I'm sure you have, I'm eager to see everything." "Birchstep's shown me how to do a battle move where I leap on someone's back and kick them." Juniperpaw exclaimed proudly, though her first time trying the move resulted in some embarrassing attempts. Luckily, she had picked up the technique rather quickly, after a few hard tries. She looked at her sister, eyes bright. "Has Siltpath taught you any new moves? Or is he too busy mooning for Jasmineheart?" The small apprentice giggled playfully, eyes twinkling with mirth. "Gossiping, are we?" Stonepath asked, his voice light and somewhat humored as he gently cuffed Juniperpaw's ear. After all, Jasmineheart was his sister, and she was one of the most gentle and kind cats he knew. Siltpath had better know his steps if he wanted that kind of relationship with her, that was for sure!

Ravenpaw stretched his legs, satisfied by his vigorous running session with Whispersong. He admittedly respected his mentor’s swift speed and ability to get right to the point without stalling or beating around the bush. Though, he admittedly wanted to train harder to get the awful memory of being stuck in the tunnels with Jaykit, beneath the roars of the wind vortex. He grumbled to himself, not yet noticing Ashenpaw across camp.

Ashenpaw was practicing her stalking by chasing a leaf. Her long legs and tail made her clumsy, having not fully grown into them yet. She kept to grab the leaf but missed it.

She kept to grab the leaf but missed it. “You’ll only catch air with a lunge like that.” Ravenpaw snorted bluntly as he approached his sister, though it was clear that the tom meant it to be teasing. He watched Ashenpaw with cool blue eyes, snickering. “I guess it helps that Thorndash has long legs like you do.”

Sagefoot rolled her eyes good-naturedly, remembering all the clan gossip she and her littermates had spent late nights whispering about. "No elaborate planning here okay? Let the two of them figure it out on their own."

He could tell their intentions were innocent, kind even. But he also knew how rapidly gossip could spread out of control.

Larkpaw flashed a look at Juniperpaw that said 'we'll talk about this later' before she descended into the tunnel, her steps much more confident compared to the first time they had entered.
Sagefoot stood back, allowing their daughters to lead the way. She brushed her tail against Stonepath to ease some of the tension in his shoulders, "They're young, they won't cause any harm." she murmured.

The Clan’s notorious gossip.” Stonepath humored, rolling his eyes fondly as he thought of Grasslight. “Though, I suppose you’re right. They can’t possibly cause as much of a ruckus as she could.”

Larkpaw eased into the wider tunnels before she stopped, calling back over her shoulder. "Where should we go? I know not all the tunnels have been checked yet." “Stick to the wide tunnels near camp.” Stonepath called calmly, moving effortlessly in the darkness. “The wider tunnels are more stable, and the damaged ones are more out near the Shadowclan border. We should be good just a few hills away from camp.”

Fallowmeadow's purr turned into a wince as the contractions started to become stronger again. "I think the next kit is coming Dawnshadow." Swiftstar touched his nose to the top of Clovekit's head. "Thank you, I appreciate your dedication to the clan at such a young age Clovekit. You will be a great medicine cat." The leader mewed lowly, hoping the words would remain true. Jasmineheart sighed, "What I don't understand is, he was given a chance to learn, but you're right he wasn't fit for it. Some cats aren't meant for the tunnels are your father is one of those cats. If Swiftstar hadn't given him a chance, I'd understand his anger better, but he did. He just also encouraged Dashclaw to stop when he was obviously hurting himself." Sagefoot looked up as she heard someone walking toward her, smiling as Violetpaw approached. "Hello Violetpaw. That's a nice rabbit you got! I suppose your patrol was a success?" Sandfall snorted, but his face was genuine as he nodded, "Your secret's safe with me. Though I don't think many of our clanmates will be very surprised." Ivyvine looked away, fur hot as they walked back to camp. Soarshadow's ferocity when it came to him always made his heart flutter. longest borth ever because i missed this post, lol XD) A tiny golden tabby kit slithered out onto the nest a moment later, giving one short, plaintive wail as the sac was nipped open and he was shuffled to Fallowmeadow's belly with his littermates.

Larkpaw ducked down the left tunnel as it split, following her father's directions. "Juniperpaw caught a rabbit around here the other day. I wonder if there's still some hanging around!"
Sagefoot padded along behind her kits, contentment stirring around in her chest like a leaf in the wind. "I must not have seen you bring it back into camp Juniperpaw, was it an easy catch?"
~~
Fallowmeadow's heart clenched as she took in the tiny tom that lay in her nest, her voice soft as she spoke. "He looks like Harmonysong."
Swiftstar tensed, looking at the little kit who did look so much like his mate's sister, a strong warrior who was taken away too soon by Meadowbrook. Swiftstar couldn't quite meet Clovekit's eyes as he took in their first son. "She must watch over him then, I'm sure she'll watch over all of them."
