Hollyleaf, Lionblaze and Jayfeather my beloved <3
I just adore the original three during the third arc (put them in order of age by the way from oldest to youngest).

Gray Wing, Thunder, Clear Sky. Their dynamics are so interesting and complex.

Where is Firestar, Graystripe and Ravenpaw ? Graystripe and Ravenpaw were never protagonists together in an arc with Firestar. They were his friends/major characters there instead.

I voted DotC because having 3 characters that know each other well split up from each other really helps drive the plot forward. Having the three characters interact with each other naturally from time to time while still dealing with their own problems helps the pacing of DotC a ton. Also, Clear Sky is one of the interesting characters.

Lion, Jay, and Holly! They're the trio I started reading with and I'm so attached to them. Root, Bristle, and Shadow are a close second though.

Jay, Holly, and Lion forever.
Clear, Gray, and Thunder would be second because of how much I loved their dynamics with each other, and Shadow, Bristle, and Root would be very close behind them because of how much I enjoyed each of them individually.

The Broken Code trio pretty free.
>TNP Gang starts out decent but devolves into shit melodrama
>PoTrio is probably one of the best
>OoTS Stooges suffer hard from having Dovewing. Lionblaze suffers from the ****ing terrible Cinderheart romance subplot. Jayfeather is still pretty much untouchable for the most part except for Half Moon.
>Gray Wing and Thunder are aggressively mid. Clear Sky is pretty interesting to follow just for how full of shit his decision making is but he can't carry. And all of their romances blow.
>Violetshine is really neat to follow and sympathetic. Twigbranch isn't nearly as compelling, even if not outright bad. Alderheart is cool when he's being dad and boring when he's not being dad.
>Every member of TBC Fam is a genuine pleasure to read, not one time where I started a character's chapter and went "wish I was reading someone else's" across six books. They all mesh together well and are likable characters in their own right.
>ASC isn't over, but they're good so far. I was meh on Frostpaw to begin with, but I appreciate her as a view into RiverClan's crisis from a heavily put-upon figure of authority that is just too young for this shit.
So it's between Jay/Holly/Lion, Root/Bristle/Shadow, and Night/Sun/Frost. For tiebreaker purposes, I'll disqualify ASC Gang because they're not done yet and could become better or worse. Soooo... did I ever find anyone to be a weak link? Probably Lion. So I think PoTrio loses.
Tl;Dr: I give it to Root/Bristle/Shadow.

Like wow you pretty much summed up my feelings about each arc trio.

Usually I'd go with the Power trio (Holly, Jay, Lion) but I've since kind of fallen into deep love with the Broken trio (Bristle, Root, Shadow), so I'll go with them.

TNP - garbage literally I think there was nothing good Power of three - just kinda boring. Ashfur the wringing to commit murder and then getting murdered is the only good part OoTS - also pretty garbage. Firestar should have been dead long ago, or atleast not gotten the spotlight again. Dove wing is stupid and boring. Lionblaze is actually bad in this arc, compared to PoT. Jayfeather was mid. Ivypool should’ve been in Docewings place AND be the Dark Forest spy. If Dovewing was replaced with Ivypool this would be a D tier. But instead it’s a ZZZZZD tier. AVoS - Daddy Alderheart moments, Needletail, and Darktail couldn’t carry the arc. There is no way Daddy Alderheart could carry those two lumps of very heavy useless extra fur called Violetshine and Twigbranch. TBC - 3rd best so far, and fairly close. Bristlefrost nearly carried to a dub, but when she died the arc went down to 3rd. Rootspring was mid. Shadowsight ruined the arc. ASC - 1st place. Just great. Nightheart is great. Sunbeam is great. Their relationship is so dynamic and twisty and turny it’s amazing. Frostpaw is mid. DotC - 3nd place. Graywing, like Bristlefrost, would’ve carried to a sub if he didn’t die. Thunder was really good other than his relationship with Clear Sky, like Gray Wing. Clear Sky was great other than all his horrible decisions, and his border making.
