I mean... which is your least favorite? Who decides to name their kit Softkit? Or Thriftkit? OR Yarrowkit?

Personally I think, out of modern names, Pigeonfoot is the worst, just because of the imagery it invokes. Out of everything to name a cat after when it’s prefix is Pigeon you choose to name them after the feet?? Why not Pigeonfeather or Pigeonflight or something?

Flaxfoot. I know what flax means and it's not bad, but the words combined "flax" and "foot" just doesn't sound right to me.
Why is Smokehaze on here. It's a beautiful name.

smokehaze and stemleaf are some of my favourite names why are they here
i stand by the fact that frecklewish is a bad name. it sounds nice i guess, but the prefix '-wish' is so ugly i can't describe it... it only goes well with a few prefixes, and freckle just isn't one of them. plus "freckle" and "wish" as a prefix + a suffix have only been used twice before. i can't be the only person confused that they managed to run out of names to the point where they use the name 'frecklewish' twice like its an incredibly bizarre name?? the two frecklewishs are the only cats to have 'freckle' and the only cats to have 'wish'. how does that work. out of the multitude of names they could've picked for thunderclan frecklewish. the multitude of prefixes and suffixes that have been cultivated in the time the book series has been made. they chose the most bizarre name in the history of warriors. the name thats prefix and suffix have both only been used twice, and for those two characters.
sorry for long rant i just find this very confusing??? same with cotc reedshine and mapleshade's vengeance reedshine. both of which look similar and were riverclan cats living under a leader named darkstar! (both are dark orange she-cats?? that description has never been used before, to my knowledge??) do they do this on purpose? why do mapleshade's vengeance characters have exact same names as other characters, even when the names are quite different to the usual names they use ??
edit: changing my vote to strikestone cause what the actual hell is that

Most of these are fine. Some of them are kinda bad. But Conefoot imo is the worst, like….what a weird name?? Do they have a foot shaped like a cone?? Should have been named Coneflower or Coneberry or something. Why foot. So ugly.

Most of these names aren’t bad but some have very awful prefixes. Such as Slight and Crouch for example. Fernsong is pretty and flows well as does most of Breezepelt’s daughters. Appleshine is the only one I really don’t care for as shine has been a bit overused as of late with prominent supporting characters having that suffix.
Thrift, Yarrow, and Flax are plants so their names make sense. Softpelt's name is fine, albeit plain.
Scratch is probably the only bad suffix listed, most of these are just poor results due to weird prefix and suffix pairings.
Macgyver is a kittypet and is a reference to a tv show with the titular character being named Macgyver. (So his owner was a fan of the show and kept it and we know in actuality that I think Vicky is the reason behind Macgyver’s name? Can’t remember if it’s her for certain but one of the authors was a fan of the show and named one of the Daylight warriors after said tv show.)

None of these. They're all fine imo. If anything, I'm so glad we're getting more unique names. I'd take a "Conefoot" over the 500th "Robinwing".

I personally really like Fernsong, Spiresight, Snaptooth, Smokehaze, Softpelt and Fognose.
However, the name Crouchfoot is a disgrace to the world. Who names their kit Crouchkit??? Even Slightfoot makes sense, but CROUCHfoot? It’s a good thing we don’t know who his parents are; they are automatically horrible parents, nothing else needs to be known /j

I like all of these names. They're really unique and pretty imo, but my least favorite has to be Crouchfoot. It's just seems off to me.

I like the new names, on the whole. Are some of them a little odd? Yeah, they are. But I think that the selected prefixes and suffixes have a lot to say about the parents of the kits and how the leaders choose names respectively. Having new names is really, really nice. At the end of the day, Moonkitti puts it best.

I think some of these are kinda cool! Nice to see them branching out into other plants. Some of the prefixes are fine as warriors, but why would you name a kit Crouch- or Flip- that's a little odd (even Stem- and Cone- are ehhhh as prefixes)
I actually really appreciate the -foot comeback~ It's a solid suffix for cats that are known for being sneaky, light on their feet, or good hunters in general. It also works really well with a lot of prefixes, unlike other suffixes that denote similar skills, which tend to be harder to fit with a lot of names.

I'm more concerned with the recent seemingly overusage of certain suffixes such as -song and -shine (but moreso the latter). While I've got some issues with names that don't make much sense when put together as a warrior one (such as Finchlight or Conefoot), I'll at least be able to handle that better than seeing yet another character get the -shine suffix or too many characters sharing a certain prefix or suffix at the same time (in the same timeline), I don't mind it when they are spread out over multiple generations, of course, as that is bound to happen though.
Although it's also great that there's less cats with the -fur or -pelt suffixes running around these days (the most boring suffixes imo). Looks like they've been replaced with the -tail suffix though (or rather that one is just still going strong lol).

Yeah. I'm not a fan of Snaptooth, Flipclaw, Thriftear, Myrtlebloom, Conefoot (ew), Fidgetflake (double ew, although technically not a warrior name), Spiresight, Flaxfoot, and Kitescratch.

Voted Stemleaf. Its kinda awkward sounding and Im not a fan. Really love stem- though! Disappointing the suffix is bad.
I appreciate a lot of the new names recently. Theres definitely a lot more prefix variation which I hope they'd also do for the suffixes. I like -foot but theres too many of them right now. Imo, Twigbranch is the worst name currently by a long shot.

Voted Flaxfoot. I think its supposed to be a plant but i can only have the imagery of a cat flexing its legs as if they were doing excercise. Its a bit weird.
I know many people say Conefoot but personally i don't have any problem with it, as it mostly refers to pine cones.

I personally like the name Fernsong, and the prefix "Thrift" is referring to the flower (I assume) so I don't really mind that name either. I voted for Flaxfoot because it doesn't sound right to me lol

I will fight for Flaxfoot, It's actually one of my favorite names in the whole series. I will admit I like any names that rhyme though and where I live Flax is a popular plant for fabric so it's not an uncommon word for me.
I'm surprised Macgyver is here though since it's a kittypet name he chose to keep and I think the reference is amusing though probably very dated for the book's target audience of kids even with the TV show getting a (unsuccessful) reboot recently. As someone who lives outside the US it was lost on me before I saw the TV show mentioned on Reddit.
Defences aside I have to vote for Flipclaw (though concur Conefoot is a bit wtf too). I've never understood why Flipkit was called that and I'm chill with pretty much any warrior name we get.

nah Nah NAH WHO VOTED FOR MACGYVER!!! But to be fair the most dumbest name they came up for a warrior is the WindClan girl herself Songleap. Like out of all the suffixes you could've gave her like Songbird or Songwhisper, YOU NAMED HER SONGLEAP!?

Kinda questioning why Heavystep isn't on here ;-; who names their kit Heavykit I'm sorry- also like Mistmouse confuses me.... The poll is about new warrior names. Heavystep's first appearance was in Fire and Ice, released in 2003, and Mistmouse's first appearance was in Tallstar's Revenge, released in 2013.

I was ready to complain about Thriftear.. but turns out it's a plant. Cool? My least favorite name isn't on here, though; that award goes to Fidgetflake. Like, what the heck does that even mean? It looks and sound ugly, and it means nothing.
