It's already the New Year where I'm at (Germany) and even though I know a lot of forum members, in particular the majority who lives in the US, are yet to get to it, I'll still just wish everyone the best now, hope you have a good one!
To somehow tie this rather off-topic thread into WG, write down your favorite arc on here! Mine is TNP (a rather unpopular choice, I've realized over the years ever since of me "falling in love with it").
Edit: I'm realizing now after getting some much needed new year sleep, that I should have probably asked which Warrior Cats/Warriors book release all of you are most excited about for 2023 since it fits the New Year theme but oh well. Doing that now and also adding a poll because why not.
Feel free to answer either question or both of them. By question(s) I mean, Favorite main series arc? or Most anticipated battle cat book release for this new year? As already said, my fav arc is The New Prophecy while my most anticipated book release for this series this year is a tie between Shadow and A Thief in ThunderClan.

Happy new years!. Tied somewhere between the OG series & The New Prophecy. For which book I’m most excited for this year. Cautiously optimistic for the new guide, and really do hope it’s an updated one. Though I suppose for the poll I’ll say Shadow.

Totally forgot to put up the new Ultimate Guide coming out as an option on the poll, so whoops! Even though I remembered to do just that with ASC #4 which has yet to get the title/cover/blurb get showcased although we do know it will come out sometime in November as per usual with the pattern of two main series books each year. But hey, seeing as there's no actual info as of yet on wether or not this new guide edition will even be new (as in updated/added character pages and artwork) or instead just be a reprinted edition of the old guide with the old art, I'm kinda okay with it not being on this poll since it's not even properly confirmed in an own article or book site yet (was just mentioned in a Q&A on the website).

No, I totally get why you added it on your poll! Because it's honestly quite exciting news. But I'm just going to remain cautiously optimistic about it until we have some more information coming out about that guide. Hopefully, this really will be a new one (new info/art) and not just a reprint of the old one. Fingers crossed!

And that would also still honor the old illustrator for the books (RIP Wayne McLoughlin). But at the same time, there are just quite a few new characters who have been added to the series since then and there would just have to be new art created for all of them anyways based on that fact alone (the ones from AVoS, TBC and ASC specifically). So perhaps the old pages with characters who already had art of them by Wayne get to keep it and just get updates on their profile if neccessary (which is very much so the case for Ashfur, Squirrelflight, Bramblestar and others) while the newer added characters get the new art by Owen Richardson. Or he might have to redraw all of the artwork by Wayne, who knows. We'll see when more knows about this guide project comes out. Got to wonder when it will get released though. The actual 20th Anniversary this year (on January 21st) is probably too early of a date. So maybe it'll come out alongside Shadow in early April instead? Similarly for how the (for now put on hold) novella sets typically came out alongside the main series book when those got their releases in spring for the past few years?

I wish to note: if you look at A Thief in ThunderClan on Edelwiss+, you can find an area that says "links". The link is "Warriors Broshore" It has the release dates for ASC #4, #5 and #6 as well as the 2023 20th Ann Ultimate Guide. It also has the title for Bamboo Kingdom #4 and the release dates for BK #4, #5 and #6.

Hopefully we find out more about it in the coming weeks (or months). I also hope we will get a cover/blurb for Riverstar's Home soon, like we did with Onestar's Confession last January. ASC4 might have to wait until the catalog updates in February. I think maybe November alongside ASC4, but that's just because TUG came out in November 2013 (or was it 2012)? But it coming out in April on the same day as Shadow is likely. I hope the website announces a lot of exciting stuff soon. It's so hard to believe Warriors turns 20 in just 20 days. It's come so far since the first release, Into the Wild.

Makes me rather hopeful though that it will indeed actually be a reprint with new art and info, not just a reprint of the old one, so yay!

And the cover for Riverstar's Home as well, of course (Owen Richardson better made him look elegantly fluffy lol). Seems likely (see Featherstar 's comments). I was just hoping for it to be early but the new Ultimate Guide coming out at the end of this year would make it seems more likely for it to actually contain new art/info so there's that. Me too (in terms of the website announcing new things)! Cannot believe the religious battle cat series of my childhood is turning 20 years old so soon. Makes me feel kinda old (even though I'm not lol).
