"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." (OOC)
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Corynn went to check her phone to see how much farther she'd have to go before she got to the library only to find that her phone died. "Really?" She muttered before looking around to see if there were any street signs that she'd be able to read so that she could still find the library. "This is what I get for leaving home and going half way across the world." She said to herself and after a moment decided to pretty much mark herself as a foreigner by asking someone for directions. The first female that Corynn spotted was who she walked over to first, "Excuse me, I'm not from around here and my phone just died while I was making my way to the library." She said softly.
Ichiro was working on what little paperwork he had since it had been pretty quiet in the world of the living. Though it probably helped that he didn't spend much time there with his past. "Maybe I should take a break from this." He muttered before taking a slow, deep breath. "I'll go see what Byakuya is doing since he probably isn't busy." He said as he stood up, hoping to avoid the rest of his squad for the moment. "If he is busy I'll just go find somewhere outside of the Seireitei to practice." He added before flash stepping out of his barracks.

Sorry for the slow reply!]] gamergirl09: Aoi stopped in her tracks after being shaken from her tangled thoughts. "Huh?" She blinked a few times, looking at Corynn, and took a moment to process that this stranger had just asked her a question. Her first automatic reaction was irritation, but after giving this girl a quick look-over, Aoi let it go and decided she seemed harmless enough. "Oh, the library? It's right down this street and then take a left," she explained, pointing down the sidewalk. "But I'm heading there too, actually, so you can just follow me if you want." Byakuya had just sit down in a room adjacent to his office with the sliding doors facing the garden in the back wide open to let in the morning sunlight. Beside him sat a small tray with a single cup and a teapot, and before him lay a black sheet of parchment with ink and brushes just beside it. He took in a deep breath and slowly let it out, enjoying the peace and quiet.

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." Your fine, adulting blows... are you stuck at home with this quarantine or are you still being forced to go to work like me?
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Corynn smiled appreciatively before nodding, "Ok, as long as you don't mind a shadow for a while." She said mostly in a joking manner. Though she was curious about the girls first reaction she didn't think too much on it.
After a moment Ichiro came to a stop outside of Byakuya's office and knocked before sliding open the door, "Are you busy?" He asked quietly not wanting to bug his friend too much if he was nor did he want anyone from Byakuya's squad hearing him.

𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓿: No worries! ^^]] gamergirl09: Nah, I take care of live fish so I still gotta go in for work. My hours got cut in half tho, so I'm only in two half days and a full day instead of 5 full days (plus overtime lol)]] Aoi shook her head. "Oh, don't worry about it. It's fine," she said with a slight smile. She started walking to the library once more, glancing over her shoulder to make sure Corynn was following. "What is your name, by the way? I'm Aoi," she added after a little while, giving a slight nod. Byakuya let out a breath and looked up with an expression that was difficult to read. It was a good thing he hadn't picked up a brush just yet. He looked over at Ichiro and gave the slightest shake of hsi head. "No, not particularly," he replied with a gesture for the other captain to come in.

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." That's still better then me... nothing about my schedule has changed...
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Corynn took a moment to actually think about the question, "Corynn." She answered and wished she could remember her birth name though, it would help her blend in more and make searching for her family easier. "I was adopted as a baby hence the foreign name." She explained quickly hoping to avoid any confusion with her name not matching her appearance or the area.
Ichiro nodded and stepped in before closing the door behind him. After that he quickly too a seat across from Byakuya, "It's been too quiet in the world of the living." He stated almost like he was complaining.

Whaaaat? o: I'm sorry friend x_x]]
Aoi gave a little half bow as they walked. "I see," she said. "Nice to meet you, Corynn." As they neared the end of the street, Aoi gestured to the left before turning to walk in that direction. Far at the end of this new street stood a large yet relatively plain-looking building. "There's the library," she announced.
"Hmph." Byakuya let out something of a chuckle as he carefully got to his feet and shuffled over to a small floor-level cupboard. He slid open the door to it and pulled out a plain white tea cup. "Shouldn't we be glad it has been so peaceful?" he proposed, turning around to return to Ichiro and his little setup. Once seated again, Byakuya filled the second cup and handed it across to his guest.

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." let's just say my GM is far from being caring and far from being smart... plus a bunch of choice words I'd love to use to describe her...
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Corynn looked up at the building and took a deep breath hoping they'd have the news article she was looking for. "Thank you." She said and wondered if it would be polite to bow to Aio
Ichiro sighed, "Yes, but I also am worried. I've read about times in the past where it has been low activity like this before some big scale event." He explained and thought back to his own death, "Especially when the really smart Hollows decide to target people for one reason or another." He added sourly.

Oof, I know the feeling. I could probably describe my old manager the same way xD]]
Aoi shook her head. "Sure, no problem," she said with a quick smile. "If I may ask, where did you move from?" she then asked. It wasn't as if she was feeling like she needed to be friendly towards this stranger, but more that there was still a ways to the library and the Quincy wasn't too fond of awkward silences. However, deep down she was a little genuinely curious.
Byakuya quietly watched his friend across the way as he spoke, his face still remaining rather calm though a bit pensive. He lifted his cup to his lips and took a long sip. "Yes, the calm before the storm," he murmured. He set the cup down. "It is not uncommon to feel that way, I suppose. The best we can do it to not let it get to us, for if we panic before knowing anything we will only make mistakes."

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." (OOC)
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." "Well, I was adopted and raised in America but my birth family is from this town so I'm trying to find out more about them." Corynn answered honestly not sure how Aoi would respond to that. In America people always asked her dumb questions.
"But it couldn't hurt to be prepared for anything. Could it?" Ichiro asked still thinking about his death, he probably wouldn't have died if he hadn't panicked. But that's a what if type of scenario that he tried to not think about.

Sorry for the disappearance! The days keep going by so quickly for me! x_x]]
Aoi looked up ahead as Corynn answered her question and nodded once the other girl finished. "Looking for your family? Well, I hope you're able to find them," she replied after a moment, offering a slight smile.
Byakuya watched his friend from across his cup of tea and took another silent sip before setting the cup aside. "Yes, you are right, but in the end you can only prepare so much before it becomes a burden on you," he murmured. Turning to one side he produced another sheet of fresh parchment and set it in front of Ichiro. He then got to his feet and rummaged through his desk for another set of brush and ink. "Here. Join me, I believe it will help calm your nerves," he said, offering the calligraphy brush.

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." (OOC)
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." "Well, I don't know if they're still alive or not." Corynn said softly and shrugged. "What do you think?" She asked curiously.
Ichiro blinked, "Ok?" He said questioningly and moved over to sit by Byakuya, "What's the paper for?" He asked not having done calligraphy before nor having seen it done.

gamergirl09: Aoi thought for a second, slowing a bit. "Well, it's a bit hard to say without knowing the details of the situation," she said very matter of fact before pausing again. "But for your sake I hope they are," she offered. Byakuya stifled an irritated sigh and pushed the ink and brush set toward his friend. "Calligraphy. The art of handwriting," he began to explain. He dipped his brush into the ink and gracefully drew it over the paper. "Concentrate solely on the movement of your hand and write the word in one fluid motion." ~~~ 𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓿: Here's my last reply!]] "Heh, don't need to tell me twice," Takeshi replied to Emi. With a running start he flash-stepped after his new captain. He kept fairly in pace with her, though as they passed by each division his eyes were studying the layout. The divisions were all pretty similar, but even still the lieutenant had not spent very much time over in this section of Seireitei. It was also nice that all their destinations so far were all lined up together.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Corynn nodded before shrugging. "I just hope that either way I don't end up with more questions than answers." She added.

Emi's eyes remained forward the entirety of their trip towards their next destination. Though she was always aware of Takeshi and where he was within her proximity. They continued towards the next squad and she landed gently and pulled out her next couple papers. "I'll just leave them with the first person, they'll get to the captain easily." she told Takeshi as she dug through the bag. After a moment she pulled them out, ordered them carefully and then began into the division. Flicking her hair back for a moment.

gamergirl09: Aoi nodded. "Good luck," she said before coming to a stop at the library entrance. She pushed open one of the clear glass doors and held it open for Corynn before walking inside herself. "Which part of the library do you need?" Byakuya paused, recognizing the confusion his words may have brought. "Write in as few strokes as you can manage," he explained. "The overall goal is smooth and graceful movements. Much like drawing a sword, there is little room for error. Focus your energy solely on how your hand is moving," he continued. To accompany his explanation he dipped the brush in ink and drew out another word on the paper. ~~~ 𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓿: Takeshi gave a nod as he landed beside the captain. Standing he flicked some hairs away from his eyes and crossed his arms. "Alright, easy enough," he replied. He glanced up at the entry gate for the third division before following Emi inside. It had been quite a while since he had stopped by, and almost maybe felt a tiny bit curious as to how his former classmate was doing.

The Captain entered the third and glanced up to Takeshi, smiling lightly as his gaze wandered. Emi looked back ahead and spotted who she needed. A member, no one in particular, just a manner of the third. The Captain’s cloak flowed about her and her aura shifted just a bit. More commanding. She approached, “Excuse me. I need you to deliver these to you Captain.” Her voice reached them and There was a moment of indifference before they saw who was addressing them. Outside of her own squad Emi was known for her capabilities and the skills that allowed her to reach her status. “Oh! Y-yes Captain!” They bowed in greeting and then took the papers and hurried off. Emi watched and then laughed lightly, “Easy enough!” She chimed to Takeshi, repeating his own words before nodding for them to leave once again. Emi looked up once again, “So, I do have a question for you. And answer honestly, I want us to be able to speak freely to each other.” She paused for a moment and then nodded to herself, “Do you look forward to working in my squad?”

Takeshi had some trouble hiding his smirk after seeing the reaction from the squad three member that Emi had chosen as her messenger. Pleased at how painlessly the task had been handled, he then turned to follow in step behind the captain. As Emi started to speak, however, he shuffled up along side her. "Looking forward to it? If I wasn't looking forward to it I don't think I would have accepted the offer to transfer," he replied with a look in her direction. That, and, a direct proposal from the Captain-Commander was a little hard to turn down. He fell quiet, his sharp features softening as he thought over his answer. "Yeah, I would say I am."

Emi smiled sincerely at the response, "That's good to hear." she nodded happily and then let out a gentle sigh, "I hope you learn a lot from our squad and I hope I make a good Captain. I truly am excited to work with a Lieutenant as capable and skilled as yourself." her words were sincere and her eyes moved up to him, still smiling happily before she looked back ahead. They were at the gates once again and she sighed once more, this time a sigh of excitement. "Okay, let's hurry to get some food, I'm about starved and I think we could go and fit in some sparing at the squad before we need to work on any duties." Emi laughed happily and looked up to Takeshi, "That's another thing I've been looking forward too." Her smile held a bit of teasing to him, the sparing match would definitely be something to behold between the two powerful Shinigami.

Takeshi offered a small smile, the compliment was much appreciated. He too was looking to learn quite a bit from the Second Division, as it was just a bit different from the Eleventh. If he thought about it, they were almost complete opposites yet he somehow fit right in between them. He almost chuckled at the thought, but them Emi reminded him about food and he looked up from his thoughts. Then she mentioned sparring and in true squad eleven fashion his eyes lit up. "Food and a fight? Sounds great," he said, trying to play it cool.

The Captain laughed lightly and nodded, "Let's get moving then!" she chimed before flash stepping away. She lead them into the market and the smells of food wafted all around. Emi sighed happily as she landed and her stomach growled in response as well. "The place is over this way." she motioned for Takeshi to follow as they went down the may stretch. She eyes focused ahead and her steps falling more relaxed, for once one might have actually have been able to hear her walking. Ahead a small red sign flashed brightly for ramen. "There we are!"

Takeshi followed the captain and stopped to look around for a moment before following after her. He had just been here the other day, but he never got tired of all the different food smells wafting around them. He lingered here and there as different snacks caught his attention. Trotting after her he looked up at the flashing sign. "I don't think I've been to this one yet," he said before heading inside.

Emi smiled happily at his comment, "Perfect! Then you're in for a great treat!" As they entered Emi was greeted by the man behind the counter, "Hello Captain, we're happy to have you grace us again!" he chimed brightly, giving her a bow in recognition. Emi nodded in response and headed over to settle at the counter nearest to the wall. She pulled the small menus over to them and slid him one. She already knew what she wanted but always enjoyed looking over their selections and new offers and deals. This was some place she had been coming too since starting her journey as a Shinigami, so of course the staff recognized her and knew who she was immediately.

Takeshi raised his eyebrows seeing the service they were greeted with when they walked in the door. "Something tells me you come here often," he remarked, smirking. He sat down with a quick glance around the place. It wasn't too fancy or anything, felt just as a small little shop like this should. With a nod he took the menu from Emi and started looking over it. "Anything you recommend, Captain?" he asked.

Emi laughed happily at the comment, “I’ve been coming here since before becoming a Shinigami.” She replied brightly. Her eyes moved over the menu and she nodded, “I’m not a meat eater but I’ve heard and trust that their chicken broths as all good, I love their kimchi ramen, and anything with the fish cakes are fantastic as well.” She chimed in response. Two waters were brought to them before the help went back to the kitchen again. Another small grumble from Emi’s stomach and a light laugh before she took a sip of the water. “What sorts of things do you like?”
