So, I finally began reading Hawkwing’s Journey (Currently on chapter 20) and was wondering what everyone thought about it. Personally, I’m liking it so far - though I didn’t really like how it immediately jumped into action with the fire and Duskpaw’s death. The battle with Darktail and the rogues was a thrilling read, but it was really sad seeing SkyClan being torn up like that. Even though I knew most of the deaths were going to happen, they still hit me hard (Mainly Billystorm and Sharpclaw’s deaths). Ebonyclaw and Harveymoon deciding to stay back was also pretty hard to read, especially since Ebonyclaw was one of my favorite SkyClan cats. As a side note, I miss daylight warriors. Also, still salty about all the cats that went missing in between the SkyClan and the Stranger (I think?) and Hawkwing’s Journey.

I like it. I really enjoy Hawkwing's character and the relationships he has with the other cats of his Clan.

i honestly didn't like it, i found it a bit sad and boring, but i can see how it could appeal to other people, it just didn't appeal to me.

I really liked it when it came out but I don't really remember much of what happened in it.

I liked it a lot, although it was possibly one of the most tragic books in the series. I gave it a 9/10 and wrote this review:
Admittedly, Hawkwing’s Journey does not start out promising: the text is riddled with obnoxious continuity errors and descriptions of cats “grinning,” which makes me cringe to no end. This beginning is much like Hawkwing’s character at the beginning, who is rather unlikable due to his anger issues and slightly entitled attitude. However, as soon as the plot begins to unfold, the story is enthralling and devastating. It is possibly the the most ruthless Warriors book so far in terms of characters who are killed or lost. Chapter after chapter, Hawkwing loses everyone he cares about because of a rogue he invited into SkyClan’s camp. (You would think Leafstar would be more wary about strangers—twice before SkyClan has landed into deep trouble due to strangers). As Hawkwing suffers these horrific losses, his character growth is clear. He slowly evolves into a mature, strong cat who carries on despite everything that has happened to him and SkyClan.
