{ яєɗ Like Summer mentioning Cal in an attempt to assure herself that she did love him? I'm actually trying to think of a way to get Cal involved even though I have no part in that. Hawkeyes258 Someone made a character with the nickname Cass so now Red wants to have Cal, Cas, and Cass all have the same room and make everyone confused. Also, the two ships we've decided on are finally coming together! *cries tears of joy*}

{Aw, well, that sounds nice at least. I hope you have fun with him} Melanie shook her head. She supposed she was pretty in an conventional way, and her make up helped a lot despite the dark colors, but she didn't want to be noticed. She wouldn't be accepted in that way, and if there was anything she wanted, it was to be accepted over adored. "No, I'm fine as I am. It doesn't matter. I'm happy as is, and that should be enough, right?" ((I did. XD And I apologize for poofing like that.)) Drake considered her point for a moment, even going to the extremes to look up at the ceiling while he pondered it, before he looked back at Melanie, smiling once again. "Yes, yes, yes. I think you might be right. Happiness is definitely more important than being noticed by other people. You're really smart, too." He hesitated for a moment before adding; "Unless you don't want to be smart because being not-smart also makes you happy." Drake added, hoping to not have offended her in anyway. Demand he makes you a balloon animal And yeah, sorry Dawn (': just so you know, I have a wip for a character currently. She's not even written, but she's gonna be a popular.) When Jac was stopped she turned to the girl pleasantly. She heard the nervousness edge the girl's voice, but as it weaned out towards her last words, Jac decided to not be bothered by it. "Hi," Jac told the girl with a smile as she stopped her before carrying on. "And of course." Jac didn't mind helping the girl in the slightest; Jac prided herself on being one of the most down-to-earth populars. "Bio? It's in second hall. That's where most of the sciences are held," Jac motioned with her head down the main hallway they were in. "C'mon, I can take you there and explain the situation to your teacher so they don't freak out on your lateness." (THIS IS SO BAD) ((He's gonna make me one tomorrow. XD We had already left town by time I got this, so I didn't remember until it was too late.)) "They're gonna freak out? That's stupid." Ash grumbled. She expected them to be at least a little lenient given that it was the first day, but whatever. She could handle a little freak out. Well at least, for now, she had this girl to walk along with. And if she was popular -- and Ash was still fairly certain she was -- that meant she might be able to befriend her and also get popular and all that good stuff. Yes. That was the perfect plan. "So why aren't you in class right now?" Ash asked to try and strike up conversation, only to then remember that she hadn't even asked the other girl's name. "Oh, and, uh, I'm Ash. What's your name?"

{Haha it's fine.}
"I don't know how you'd know I'm smart, but don't worry, I have good grades and everything," Melanie told him. She was a bit proud of the fact. She wanted her sister to look up to her, so she made sure to get good grades. It did actually make her happy to be smart, although Drake couldn't possibly know that she was. She just assumed that he was making a guess and left it at that.

"I knew it." Drake said and nodded his head. He was a little bit proud of himself for piecing that one together. "Only smart people would know that happiness is more important than what other people like. You gotta be happy. I like being happy." He looked towards the front of the class, wondering when class would start.

{Hello everybody! I am once again procrastinating on my homework! I should really get to work on that, and also writing some stuff...} "I knew it." Drake said and nodded his head. He was a little bit proud of himself for piecing that one together. "Only smart people would know that happiness is more important than what other people like. You gotta be happy. I like being happy." He looked towards the front of the class, wondering when class would start. Melanie nodded her head in agreement. She felt like she was indulging a child again. It was nice, if a bit weird. Briefly, she considered asking her parents for another sibling. She'd always wanted a little brother. "That's very true. You're smart too. It's good that you like being happy." Although, eventually the real world would rear its ugly head at him. High school wasn't over yet, so he had time. She worried about what would happen in the future.

Drake laughed and shook his head. He might have been happy, but he was not smart. "I'm not smart." He said, echoing his thoughts. "I don't even know how I'm still able to attend this school. Pure luck, I guess." He shrugged at that. His whole demeanor seemed to have shifted from being so outgoing and childish to suddenly something shy. His leg had stopped bouncing and he had calmed down exponentially.

"You don't have to be book smart so long as you're smart enough to know what's good for you as a person," Melanie told him. "Well, being book smart helps for college, but you'll be fine." Melanie wasn't part of the clique that had been lovingly dubbed "the Nerds", but that didn't mean she wasn't able to hold good enough grades. She didn't get all A's, but she was okay. She held her own philosophy on being happy. If only the popular kids understood that.

"Exactly. Book smart is what gets you into college." Drake repeated. "No matter how good I am at being a happy person, no one cares at the end of the day. You gotta be smart to get into college and get a good job." He shrugged since he didn't care too much. He had long ago accepted his future.

{@ Red I'm taking that as a "I should totally listen to that song"}
Melanie frowned and hit him on the head, gently so as not to hurt him. "Nope, wrong answer. That doesn't sound like you're happy. That sounds like resignation." She hummed and tapped her pencil on her desk. "I could do what I used to do and offer to help you. Would you take that? Because you seem like you would be a lot happier if you managed to get good grades."

((Good question, Aurora. I don't know the answer.))
Drake rubbed the back of his head and glared at her, pretending like it hurt before the glare fell away and he blinked at her, taking in her words. A tutor? Maybe that could help, although he was still convinced that he was a lost cause. "Well, I guess we could give it a try. If you don't mind, of course. I would hate to be a bother." He replied and thought how he would fit it into his busy schedule. "We'll have to work study sessions around practice and games somehow..."

"Do you play a sport?" Melanie asked, and then realized that it was pretty stupid question. "Well, I'm free any time. Just come find me. Or I can hang around while you practice whatever and make you go over things during breaks." She wondered if it would truly be helpful, having him study while his mind was on a game. She honestly had no idea how to tutor someone; she had only ever helped her sister with her homework. All she remembered was an old teacher telling her to study every day, but with short time limits. Not that she had listened very well, but she had passed with a solid B+ in that class.

Irina had gotten to her first period class, Algebra 2, and was punctual at usual. She might not have been a nerd but she did do her best to keep her grades at the lowest, a B. So she sat at her desk, wearing a floral skater dress and a pair of white flats. Her blonde hair was down in their soft waves . She leaned back in her chair, legs crossed tapping a pencil lightly on her desk, in deep thought.
Joseph was already in his first period class, English, leaning back in his chair, arms crossed. He wore a blue and green flannel over a plain white tee, dark skinny jeans, and black converse. He was mostly asleep, having stayed up pretty late the night before. However he had shades covering his eyes, so no one could really tell. He pretty much looked liked a chill guy quietly sitting in his chair.
Blair was running late to class. Literally. Running. She hurried down the hallway trying to skid to a stop, slipping on the floor with a yelp. She got up quickly, glancing around, and breathing a sigh of relief that no one saw her. Blair made her way into class moving to an empty seat. She sat down behind her brother, not bothering to say anything, knowing he was asleep. Her long dark hair was down in its loose waves. She wore a light grey crop top tee, light blue frayed shorts, red high top converse, and a red and black flannel tied around her waist.

"It's nice to meet you as well!" She mused, holding out her slender hand for him to shake. She didn't really like to physically confront nerds, but she felt as if she could make and exception this once. She couldn't help but look into his dark brown eyes as she waited for him to shake her hand, and she wondered just what could be hiding behind that joyful glimmer.
