Do you think Squirrelflight was right to lie to the Three about their mother?

i still say there were tons of alternative plans they could have come up with together (bramble, squirrel, and leaf).
the three of them could have confided in sandstorm, then all four should have gone to firestar to come up with a plan to minimize damage. firestar is leader, and this would have been the one time they should have taken advantage of their father's position for the benefit of those kits...its even worse when u remember firestar KNEW of the three prophecy, so why wouldnt they involve him from the get-go?
if firestar told thunderclan the truth, ferncloud and the other queens would be the first to step up and agree to help leafpool and help raise the kits. and with the queens on their side, a lot more cats would calm down and accept it. and why dont they ever share prophecies with the whole clan anyways? if firestar said "leafpools kits r part of a prophecy" then there would be even LESS criticism towards them.

I hate this question, because it's not a yes/no question. She wasn't WRONG. She wasn't RIGHT. She did what she thought she had to do under bad circumstances.
Starclan also pressured her to lie, so there's that

Similar to what Ottersplash said, she's not in the wrong but she's definitely not in the right either. Although she had good intentions, this was something that she could have worked out together with her family instead of lying.
I selected "no" because of the wording of the question. Had it been "Was Squirrelflight right or wrong to lie" I would have selected neither.

Yes and no. Squirrelflight did what she thought was right but at the same time was also pressured and mainpulated by certain StarClan cats into lying about the CrowLeaf litter.
Her actions eventually were revealed and caused her mate and adopted kits as well as herself and her sister lots of pain to get through. In the overall story, her and Leafpool's "decision" at first got seen as bad by the narrative during PoT and OotS, then as good in BrS and then finally as an in between thing in SqH where StarClan judged them both for it during their trial (unfairly so in my opinion since they were the ones to literally tell the two sisters what to do in that situation) while Lionblaze seems to have moved on from it entirely and Jayfeather still has some unresolved feelings on the matter.
I think, people saying only one side is right (or wrong) are missing the point. I've seen people state that "Bramblestar and the kits had no right to be angry because Squirrelflight was correct in the end" (some fans these days even think that Bramblestar getting mad at Squirrelflight for it "was another of his abuse tactics" like wtf). In the end, there was more than one option to solve this situation so I'm not sure why some people (not referring to anyone on the forums or this thread) think this was the only way for it to go. Squirrelflight never wanted to hurt anyone but she did. Because other characters have feelings that she has no control over and they also had a right to get angry about being lied to.

She was right to protect her sister and the Three from judgements and distrust, she was wrong to hide the truth about the Three's parentage because they had a right to know...it was a complicated situation and Squirrelflight chose one gray choice to another gray choice. It wasn't as simple as black and white, right or wrong.
