Well I mean, the theory about Snowtuft being Snowkit was debunked years ago and even more recently in the TBC arc (more specifically TPoNS where Snowtuft was revealed to be from ShadowClan and not remember his past crimes there since it all happened a while ago). So, I'm not really sure what the point is anymore, to be honest (this isn't meant to sound rude or anything by the way).

it's a nonsensical theory. i've never liked it and it never made sense to me. i get people like snowkit and wish he could have lived, but i never did. snowtuft is his own cat.. end of discussion for me.

I've never understood this theory tbh. Even at first, there's legit zero evidence that it could possibly be true. The AUs also don't seem very well-written, though that's 100% my personal opinion

at first i thought it would've made sense a year or two ago but now i dont really understand. how would snowkit age in his afterlife? none of the cats in this series do, so it doesn't really make sense? at all?

To those asking how this theory would even work, I just found a video made only last year about Snowkit which ends with him turning into Snowtuft at the end and the comments are still filled with people believing it to be true despite most of them knowing Snowtuft's canon background story or at least getting told what was confirmed about him in TPoNS.
Here it is:
Some fans think, for example, that while it is stated StarClan cats do not age, nothing is said about the Dark Forest. Or that Snowtuft was either lying about his past or the writing team just slapped something vague enough about ShadowClan on him to still theorize. Because, while it was revealed in the fifth book of TBC that Snowtuft was from ancient ShadowClan and did not remember much of his past life there, some thought that he somehow meant the TPB ShadowClan and that the hawk dropped him in their territory and he became a ShadowClan warrior. Yet another thing is his scar, even though it was shown to have been inflicted upon him by Hawkfrost and Shredtail in OotS (Fading Echoes, if I'm not mistaken), some of them think the hawk is responsible for it. While I think, it's completely fine for people to theorize, the fact that this theory got pretty much disproven not long after getting introduced (when Snowtuft himself showed up as character for the first time mere seconds before receiving his scar), makes it seem unnecessary to even get taken into consideration these days.

Completely impossible imo. It feels like a crack headcanon that some people started taking seriously to me.

Or maybe they just wanted to keep things a bit more secret until Snowtuft gets his novella (he better get one). I don't mind them keeping it rather vague since people can still theorize that way until the reveal. (just without the "Snowkit is Snowtuft" theory). It was stated that he remembered "wanting power" which already means something. Obviously him wanting to be deputy or leader (but also perhaps a medicine cat who would be able to influence the way of Clan life in different but big ways as well).

I'd enjoy a novella on him trying to be a medicine cat, that'd be something new

While it's funny at first, a lot of depictions of this theory are extremely ableist, with Snowkit being evil because he was deaf and rejected. There's a lot of really bad theories like this as is, and it's a known trope in fiction. I have yet to see a good depiction of this story.
