For the Empire
(Sorry for the generic name, I may change it)
Greetings everyone, and welcome to 'For the Empire,' this is a historic, multi-clan roleplay where you can create your character(s) and make yourself known as a part of an empire. These empires, all live in the same area, meaning that War, political disputes, and trading are all during the norm. So, if you read this far, and are interested, then please read on. I hope you will have fun roleplaying! Oh, and don't worry, you don't have to be a history buff to roleplay, just have fun. Also, The time period this roleplay is unclear, for a bunch of different empires will be in this, from a bunch of different time periods, but, there will not be any guns during this time period, only swords and such.
Rules
Before I get into any more detail, let's adress some rules. Some of these rules you probably have seen before, others, maybe not, be sure to read over them.
1. No bullying. Be nice please. Quarrals INSIDE the roleplay can happen, but please do not fight or argue over anything outside of roleplay.
2. NO powerplaying/no mary-sues, gary-stues. Please try to keep everything realistic. Don't make them have blue hair, or such. And please give your character some flaws, it just makes everything more fun and such.
3. Keep it PG-13. For a roleplay taking place in a pre-classical setting, there is sure to be violence. Just don't go too in depth over battles and such, just so that this roleplay doesn't get deleted. I'll give you a warning if you start going to graphic.
4. Please be historical. This is a big one! This is a roleplay set in a historic setting, so please try to be historical. Please don't use magic, or be super-duper powerful.
5. LGBT+ Welcome.

(I hope that wasn't too confusing, ask if you need help understading anything.)
(I know there were some murky waters in that, but I hope I didn't offend anyone.)

The Empires to choose from
(This list can be expanded if you suggest any other empire. I don't know many empires, so feel free to pitch in and give a bit more ideas. Help would be greatly appreciated in this regard.)
The Roman Empire
Ancient Japan (During the Edo period)
Vikings
The Roman Empire
the roman empire is a very prosperous and elegant empire, strong, hardy, and a prominant force in this world. It is one of the biggest empires in the world, and not one to mess with. The Roman empire is highly respected, either for it's leadership, or it's brutal military. This empire has tried to expand numerous times, but have been pushed back time and time again. The Roman empire is the first to speak at meetings, and it's word is highly regarded by each of the other tribes.
So, looking to join, eh? Well, here is the hiearchy for the Roman Empire. Take a look and join.
Consils(2)-The Consils will dictate what happens to the Roman empire, what laws get passed, and what new polocies are stated. They fight in battles and are trained as soldiers, now, they work with the senate to discuss the future of Rome. (Sometimes, during the roleplay, there will be an election, where each person can elect someone to be consil. that seems like a neat mechanic I think.)
Senators/government body-These people help alongside the Consils to discuss problems in Rome. They usually don't fight too much, and are more to discuss policies with one another. Senators and Government bodies are usually the first people to go to if you have a problem with farmland are housing. Some can be understanding, and focus on the problems of the people, and others focus on the problems of the Empire as a whole.
Soldiers-One of the most famous and highly looked upon are the soldiers of the Roman empire. They are strong, trained in the art of war, and never back down from a fight. They are the pride of the Roman Empire, and is the bulk of the territory. (We'll go in depth of the different types of jobs inside of the soldier hieararchy in the Rome Page.)
Farmers-Farmers arn't praised for their craft, but they do make the Republic function, and they are the back bone of the empire. As much as the soldiers boast about their hard fought victories, farmers are the ones that fed them, and farmers are the ones that held down the empire while they were gone. Farmers may live a thankless job, but it is what makes the world go round.
Citizens-This is your average citizen. With a prosperous empire like this, Citizens can do almost anything. Want to build and open a shop, just ask a senator. Want to trade, you can! As a citizen, anything is possible.
Ancient Japan
Japan? huh? Japan has a rich culture like no other. Japan was now fairly small compared to the other kingdoms, but it has gotten bigger as time went on. Japan has all sorts of job openings, that, like it's cultures, are jobs that you cannot find anywhere else. Here is a wonderful place, you'll fit right in!
Emperor-The Emperor looks over all of japan, and discusses political and social affairs that are happening in and outside of the borders. The Emperor is the highest athority, and is the person that speaks on behalf to everyone.
Shogun-The Shogun is the person that dictates the military. Whenever there is a battle or war, the Shogun is the one organizing battle plans, assigning scouting parties, and making plans for the soldiers' days. The Shogun is like the second in command, but to the soldiers, the shogun is basicly the dictator.
Government body-These people are able to talk with the emperor in discussing what is going on. They can tell if there is a food shortage, or an abundance of an animal. The Government does not fight, and they don't work hard, but they are close with the Emperor, and do discuss the future of all of Japan.
Samurai-The heavy soldiers of Japan, the Samurai where the best of the best of the Japanese military...at least from face to face combat. They are the front lines, and the first to be called to arms when they strike. IF the Shogun ever dies in battle, one of the samurais will take his place. From all different Clans, the Samurai are known as the strongest soldiers around.
Footsoldiers-The ever soldier, the foot soldier wears anything they desire. Theyy fight when the situation needs be, and go back to their homes when there are times of piece. They can have a plethera of jobs, from, being on horseback, to fighting with swords, to weilding bows.
Ninjas-So, you like Hatori Hanzo, do you? Well, the Ninja will probably accept you as one of their own. Highly trained assassins, they have mastered the art of stealth and desception, and are highly revered by all the other kingdoms. The other kingdoms fear ninja for their ability to infiltrate high security places.
Citizens-citizens, like in rome, are able to do anything that they so please.
(More positions will probably be added later)
Vikings
Lastly, we have the brute strength of the vikings. Vikings are very different from any of the other clans, for the Vikings have a comepletely different way of life than any other clan. Each position contributes so much to the way of life, and positions and political status can be switched very easily. Here are the positions
Jarls(6)-all Jarls will discuss the future of the kingdom. Each Jarl is able to make their own territory inside the viking kingdom, and form there own clans. Although they each have little bits of territory in the viking kingdom, all Jarls are loyal to the whole.
Warriors-These Warriors will fight alongside the Jarls during combat and such. They are beast-like, and striek fear into the hearts of enemies.
Farmers-With the snowy climate that the Vikings live in, being a farmer is tough, but it's worth it. All vikings admire these farmers for their hardwork and determination, and are very highly thanked for their service.
Citizens-Citizens, like all the other clans, are able to do as they please.
