Does anyone else read other roleplays? Like, you're not even in them but the plot's cool and the characters are interesting so you just kind of lurk. Yay? Nay? I hope I'm not weird.

Nope.
....
What role-plays do you read?

TPH - The premise is cool and they keep it interesting. Dahlias and Cherry Trees - Though, that's kind of become inactive. the new world - They draw a lot of inspiration from TWD and that is my jam.
Like, I don't sit there and read it post-for-post but I come by every now and then to catch up some. Part of me wants to join and the other part says I'm already involved in too much right now. haha.

I wonder how many people read tph..
Sometimes if I'll see an rp that looks like something I might be interested in joining I'll read through some of it.

I tend to read role-plays when I have the chance. I'll go from thread to thread seeking topics that interest me. Sometimes I'll skip through pages, or I'll read ongoing roll play and secretly cheer for a character. xD ((Like a drama or something)

So long as it isn't a role-play I'm in. XD I'd feel so awkward knowing people read were reading it.

@--Aяʟø Crιмѕøɴ Probably more than you think. That thing has been here forever.
@nico Yazawa Oh, thank goodness. I'm not alone.
@☪Şhiຖiຖງ໓iค๓໐ຖ໓♬♪ Lol, same. It's something to do when the forums are slow and you've nothing else to do.

@watermelon✎ Haha. I get the same way. I tend to scrutinize my own work so that's no fun. It's like someone reading over your shoulder.
@zacharie That's understandable. I've only recently become kind of busy so this might change.

@blackbird hehe, totally agreed! >D When role-plays are slow, seeking out a new role-play or just curiously gazing around. Sometimes you find these epic moments in plots and you're like "I can totally picture that!"

@cryptic yep, it's been over two years! I've been kinda inactive there recently but hopefully that'll change soon.

Bah. Why can't I ever get tags to work? xp
☪Şhiຖiຖງ໓iค๓໐ຖ໓♬♪ So true. That or you stumble across some really good ideas. Some of these plot ideas have been pretty awesome over the years.
--Aяʟø Crιмѕøɴ & Cloverleaf That's ancient. cx It's really awesome that you guys have kept it alive for so long. It always has ways of reinventing itself. I kind of noticed some older members were missing but I just thought it was the move or something.

to tag someone, you have to type the person's username, not their display name. So to tag me you'd type @ kitkat without the space.
@blackbird We've had a few members leave, but most of us are still around. ^^ It does get a bit slow sometimes during summer break, probably because everyone has stuff going on irl. I was thinking about restarting Arlo's journal sometime now that there's a section for writing but it would take forever to catch up... It would be good for writing practice though.

Thanks. c;
--cato phoenix That's understandable. I thought I'd have more time during break but work and responsibilities had other plans for me. cx You should, totally. It's always nice to have that practice in. My writing's matured a lot, I hope, from my early days of roleplaying. Plus, the whole journal thing is a nice character study. You definitely get to know and understand your characters better. It's a great idea.

@blackbird np!
Yeah, roleplaying really does help. I think if I do rewrite her journal I might try to read through some of the old posts first so I don't forget anything important. I actually started posting the old journal in otd on the old forums but I stopped working on it for awhile and by the time I felt like adding to it Arlo had changed a lot and it would have looked really weird if I'd continued it. xD I was going to restart it but I don't think I ever did.

I haven't read roleplays that extensively. A lot of times, if I read roleplays, it's because the title of the roleplay is cool or I'm seeing what a roleplay is like in terms of style.
This being said, I have listened to my friends' Fiasco recordings and observed a session of Pathfinder before being pulled into playing myself shortly after.

I stalked the new world for a while,mostly because I was once a part of it and then I left bc I ran out of muse for the plot. I'm trying to get back into it now though cx

When I was active on the WCF years ago, I spent a majority of my time in OTRP. I happened to look at roleplays that I wasn't in from time to time, because I like to see the way others do things, or what the universe they're writing is like. It's very interesting to see the creativity of others at work.
