Hey hi hello, it's me, if you'd like to continue our 100 RP :3
Pan felt the leaves and dirt pressing into her cheek and focused on holding her breath, making sure she didn't move at all. Once she heard the grounder say it was okay, she quietly sat up and brushed the dirt off her clothes, clambering to her feet. "Thank you." She whispered, studying the girl intently. "I'm Pantalaimon. Pan, for short. Why did you help me?" As she spoke, her eyes flicked around the forest suspiciously, hoping the grounder boy wouldn't return.
"Won't you get in trouble for saving a Sky person?" Her hand pressed against her side as she suddenly noticed it was burning, and when she pulled her fingers away they were sticky with blood. "Oh, that's lovely." The girl muttered, staring at her bloody hand with fire in her eyes.

( Hello! I totally missed this, sorry, sorry. )
Phyra chewed her lip for a moment before answering, still looking around as if someone might come out of nowhere. After several long moments she turned back, finally giving herself time to properly study this skaikru girl. "I'm Phyra," she replied. "And as for why I helped you, please don't ask. If this comes out things won't be pretty for me." Truth be told, she wasn't quite sure herself, and that worried her. "I guess I just didn't think you deserved to die."
She paused, then nodded. "You could call it trouble. It has worse names, too. We're at war you know. Saving your life could be seen as treason." She didn't bother sugarcoating it. She didn't owe this girl anything, and certainly not consideration for her feelings. At least not right now. She was about to add something else when the red stain on Pan's hand caught her eye and she changed her mind. There were more pressing matters. "Let me see," she said, and it wasn't a question, though at least she had the sense to not move.

[ It's okay! c: I need help with my signature Dx I suck at coding ugh. edit; nevermind i figured it out xD ]
Shocked into silence, the girl had absolutely no idea what to say. Treason? Gosh. "Well, thank you for that." Pan replied at last, leaning back against a tree for support. She gestured towards her side and offered a tight, albeit rueful smile. "Have at it. I'm not used to getting hurt." The girl muttered, her blue eyes flickering with irritation. I swear sometimes I don't even know why I bother trying to help. I think I hear an animal, it turns out to be a grounder. I carry on a conversation in the hopes I won't get killed, but I still manage to almost get killed. Is there no end to my stupidity?

( the coding's different here, too. i'd offer to help but i can't even code my own properly right now ^^' )
Phyra nodded and stepped forward. She frowned and reached out to gently touch the stain of blood on the other girl's side, then peeled the fabric away carefully to inspect it. She sighed, taking a step back so that she didn't impose on Pan's personal space any more, and, more importantly, so that Pan didn't impose on hers. "I suppose it was Alden who did this?" she grumbled. She wasn't sure which upset her more, that Pan had gotten hurt or that she'd failed in preventing it.
She sighed heavily, running a hand through her matted hair. "You should probably get that looked at by someone who know's what they're doing. Nobody wants a stab wound in their side. Do you have anyone at your camp who knows how to bind wounds?" She knew that she might not get an answer. It could easily be seen as an attempt to gain information, and though that wasn't her intention, she wouldn't blame the skaikru girl if she thought it was.

[ *screeching* I literally just managed to figure out the coding on wcf I'm so pissed how dare they shut it down ]
Pan grumbled to herself and placed her hand back over the wound, glaring furiously at the ground. "Yes, I wasn't quick enough with my belt." Oh! My belt! She quickly picked the ratty thing up off the ground and wrapped it around her side, tightening it so that it slowed the bleeding somewhat. "No, we don't have anyone trained in medical. They were too smart to get caught and locked up in the Skybox." The girl muttered, looking up at Phyra's face to inspect it for any emotions. "All we have are a bunch of murderers and thieves, and the occasional person who committed treason. And, of course, me. The only crime of my kind."

( no but seriously i'm kinda mad that they did because i can't code anymore? )
Phyra's eyes widened. These were all criminals? She'd not known that before. "Well," she said, purposefully brushing past everything else Pan had said. "You do need to get it treated. I can help you, if you need it. I may not be properly trained to heal like our healers, but I've picked up a thing or two while I was being treated myself." She smiled softly, silently hoping for a yes. She did not want to have this girl live only to die from a wound that she should have survived. Not after everything she'd done for her, and certainly not when she knew how to help. "It'll be better than anything they'll do for you back at your camp, at least."

[ right? i miss the brackets and stuff from before they updated. "technology is advancing" my butt. -.- feel like my high school rp looks lke crap too ugh. ]
Pan's eyes widened slightly, but she wasn't sure if it was from relief or something.. else. "Are you sure? What will happen to you if they catch you healing a ... what did you call me? Skaikru?" She tested the word on her tongue, marveling at how cool but foreign it sounded. Maybe we won't have to fight forever and we can actually learn from the grounders. The girl thought with excitement. That would be so rad.

( i feel you. having this to fall back on kind of eased most of my anger, but this still has me upset. ahhhh, i don't want to relearn everything?? also, if i poof it's because it's so late here, we're nearing 3am and i've fallen asleep. )
Phyra considered for a moment. "Then I'll tell them I did it to keep you alive so that we can get information from you, and hopefully they don't decide that was wrong of me," she said, and her level tone suggested that she wasn't joking. She sighed, then added, "They just can't find out. That would create too much trouble, trouble for both of us." She turned, gesturing for Pan to follow. "We don't need to get too close to the village to take care of your wound, though, so we should be fine." She waited for another few moments, then started to walk, deciding that if Pan didn't want help, she'd have to say so herself.

[ wow, dedication to rp xD it's only 9 pm here :b ]
Pan's thoughts were flying through her head, though she wasn't sure if it was because of what the girl had said, or if it was because she was crashing from her adrenaline high. She decided it must be the latter, and her suspicions were confirmed as she staggered after the grounder girl, grumbling to herself. With all the other mutations around here, they couldn't have wings or something? Geez. Although, super strength is pretty cool too I guess. She thought grudgingly, hoping they wouldn't be found out and that even if they were, she would be able to escape quickly. Maybe, since she hasn't killed me yet, she could teach me some useful survival things. The girl perked up as she followed Phyra. Well, emphasis on the yet part.

( haha, call it dedication, call it stupidity, here i am )
Phyra slowed so that she was walking beside Pan, but she didn't speak for a long time. She was busy deciding whether this was stupid or really stupid. When, after way too long, she settled on the later, she decided to make it worse. "So," she began. "If you're all criminals, what was your crime?" It was a personal question, yes, but it wasn't one so personal that Phyra expected her to refuse to answer. Pan had brought it up, after all, not her, so it obviously wasn't a secret. She glanced over at the skaikru girl, reading her face in search of an emotion that she could use to better understand what was and what wasn't appropriate here.

[ i'm supposed to be filling out job applications rn but here i am so in my case it's stupidity xD ]
Pan had been trudging along, mostly focused on not tripping over anything. When Phyra asked her the question she knew she'd been curious about, she froze for a moment before replying. "I was born. On the Ark, they keep the population in check. No one is allowed to have more than one child. My mom wasn't exactly a saint, and she had me with some guard." She sniffed, maintaining her composure. "They hid me as long as they could, but eventually, like all secrets, I was found out. I've been locked up in the Skybox since I was nine. My brother somehow found out they were sending us to earth, and he hid on the drop-ship before they loaded everyone into it. So here I am." The girl gave an offhand shrug.

( xD well, at least we're not being stupid alone )
Phyra frowned. That made no sense to her. "They would do that?" she asked, clearly in shock. "Lock up a nine-year old kid for something her mother did?" It wasn't a kind way to put it, but she didn't know how to make it seem less like an accusation against Pan's mother anyway. It seemed so wrong to her, and the revelation almost angered her, for several reasons. She'd known that the skaikru were all children and teenagers, but she'd assumed that was the case because young people were more likely to survive the radiation here, not because they were criminals. If all of the criminals were so young, what did that imply for the adults that committed a crime? And, more importantly, why had they been chosen? Was this supposed to be some alternate prison? It all confused her, and the confusion only made her more aggravated.

[ sorry for disappearing, you know me xD always forget to come rp when i'm binging series oops #noshame ]
"Yeah. We're lucky. Anyone who's under eighteen when they commit a crime gets locked up until they turn eighteen. Once our birthday comes, we sit down for a review. If they decide that our crime can be forgiven, we're free. If not, we get floated. Which is a better way of saying they put us in an airlock and send us shooting to our deaths." Pan paused for a moment before continuing, "our Chancellor sent us down here to see if we could survive on Earth again. If we can, the rest will come down. If we all suddenly die, they'll stay in space until they die. We got sent here because we're expendable." She scoffed and used air quotations to show it wasn't the term she would have used. "With all the people the grounders have killed, I'm hoping they stay up there. They can all float themselves."

( haha, i can't say i'm any different and i'll be disappearing myself on tuesday since i'm going abroad for two weeks. i'm not sure about wi-fi, so i can't promise i'll be on much at all. )
Phyra chewed on that for a moment, trying with all her might to not let any negative emotions sprout from her comment about her people; it wasn't like this conversation was really about that, anyway. A few seconds of reflection made that surprisingly easy. What wasn't was culling the unadulterated anger that came from Pan's explanation. "Disgusting," she muttered, shaking her head. "The whole thing is disgusting." And she'd thought that her people were strict when it came to laws and rules. Compared to the skaikru still in space, that didn't seem to be even slightly the case. She gritted her teeth, glaring into the air in front of her. She didn't speak again, not for a long while. She was afraid that if she did, she'd say some unkind things and be unable to stop. It wasn't as if that had never happened before. The next time she opened her mouth to speak, she was standing at the mouth of a shallow cave. They were close enough to her village that light chatter could be heard in the distance, but far enough away that it was more like a distant murmur, almost like the breeze in volume. "Here we are," she said, somewhat awkwardly, trying to disguise the hard edge to her tone with something a little smoother.

[ that's fine c: where are you going? ]
Pan glanced around before focusing on the cave. "Oh." She tried not to let any form of fear in her tone, but there was no denying the thought of going into a cave with an enemy warrior was somewhat frightening. The girl cleared her throat and half whispered, "In there?" She could hear the chatter from the village and wasn't sure how great their hearing was, but she sure as heck didn't want anyone to realize she was even further in their territory than before.

( i'm going to england for the first time since we moved away, which is exciting ^^ it's been like three years so it's been a while. )
Phyra looked into the cave and then back at Pan. Realising that this could easily be threatening, she took a deep breath and held it. Usually, this helped her think, though this time it didn't do so well. "Well," she said slowly, drawing the word out for precious extra seconds. "I guess. I mean, it would be the best bet to avoid infection. I know the wound's not that bad, but infection could kill anyway." She talked slowly still, unable to pick up the pace once she'd slowed down. She frowned, chewing the inside of her cheek to ease her impatience.

[ oh wow, lucky! i'd die to travel abroad. my dream is to go to ireland. ]
Pan nodded slowly, her deep blue eyes studying Phyra intently as the silence dragged on. "Okay." She finally said, crossing her arms. "Just know, if this was an elaborate plan to get me here and kill me...do it quickly." Her gaze dropped to the ground. "Please." She took a deep breath and took a few small steps past the grounder, blinking as the brightness changed considerably.

( i love traveling so much. we don't do it often enough, though could you ever travel enough, really? )
Phyra nodded, sighing a sigh of relief. "I swear," she agreed, following Pan inside. "Welcome to my home away from home," she said jokingly, making her way to a small lamp which she lit after a few attempts. It bathed the shallow cave in a warm but dim light. It really wasn't much, but it did the job it had to do, which was to protect her in case she failed to get back to the village in time, whether she was running from acid fog or something else, it was enough to save her. It contained very little past a small amount of food, a place designed for rest and what healing equipment she knew how to use. She contemplated for a moment, then shed her weapons, laying them in a pile a short distance from the entrance. If it came down to it, she should be able to hold Pan off for long enough to grab something to use against her, but she doubted that would be necessary.

Pan leaned against the wall and surveyed the small cave curiously. "This place is pretty cool." She said with a smile, pressing her hand against her side absentmindedly. Her mind was burning with questions and she was sufficiently distracted from the wound that had brought her here in the first place. Noticing Phyra had laid aside her weapons, she bit her lip and pulled a piece of triangular cut metal out of her jacket pocket. "We don't exactly have weapons, but some of the others, including my brother, cut pieces of our ship apart." She mumbled, holding out the metal to the grounder. I hope she doesn't think I'm going to use it against her. Oops. Too late now.

( omg no don't feel bad. i absolutely understand needing a break! take care of yourself first! )
Phyra glanced around the small cavern again, feeling suddenly self-conscious. "Thanks," she said, somewhat absentmindedly. She turned back to Pan, and upon seeing the sharp piece of metal in her hand she tensed. Her thoughts had distracted her, and so the mumblings that would have otherwise warned her of what she was about to see had gone over her head. It soon became clear that Pan didn't intend to use it aginst her, so she breathed a sigh of relief as she relaxed, taking the primitive weapon into her hands to inspect it. She nodded to herself, handing it back to her after a moment's deliberation. She was silent for a while, thinking. She surveyed her surroundings, and then Pan. Seeing her holding a hand to her side jolted Phyra into motion until she was bustling around again, pulling herbs and strips of fabric from her small storage space. "Let's see if I can do anything for that," she said with a shallow nod to the make-shift bed standing against the cave wall. It was little more than an old mattress made of straw over a slab of rock, but it did the job. "Sit," she instructed.

Nodding, Pan made her way over to the mattress and gingerly sat down, exhaling softly. She pulled her jacket off and pushed up her shirt, folding it around her torso for Phyra, figuring that she wouldn't want to touch her any more than necessary. "Are you the doctor down here?" The girl inquired, regarding her with curiosity.

( Don't worry. I've been pretty much gone for the last two weeks, so I guess me too xD )
With gentle hands, Phyra touched the skin surrounding the wound, doing her best to keep from hurting the other girl as she inspected the damage. "No," she replied, holding back laughter best as she could. "I'm a warrior, our healer stays back in the village. We're all trained, more or less, though. Only the youngest children have been spared from having to deal with blood and sickness." She sighed heavily, pulling her hand back to reach for some large leaves, water and relatively clean strips of fabric. "I've wrapped more than a few wounds, unfortunately."

"Oh." Pan blushed, lowering her eyes to the angry red wound on her side as Phyra inspected it. We could learn so much from them, why does everyone insist on fighting? They'd rip us apart, but then they'd all die once everyone else comes down.. She opened her mouth to speak, but couldn't find the words she was searching for, then, "Why are you helping me?"

( ahhhhh, my life is a mess right now so it might happen again (sorry) but hey, i'm getting into the swing of things again )
Phyra took the first of the rags and dipped it into the water. "This part will sting," she warned as she began to wash the grit from Alden's blade and other dirt away from it. "I have no quarrel with your people," she said as she worked, glancing up to Pan at regular intervals. "I'd absolutely go into battle against you if I was ordered to, despite what the rest of my people think I'm no traitor. I just don't think that anyone deserves to die for trying to reclaim their old home." Her own honesty surprised her, even if her blunt deliverance didn't.

Eyes watering, Pan clenched her jaw, gritting her teeth. A small hiss escaped through her lips and she looked up at the ceiling of the cave. "That makes sense, I guess. I don't see why we need to fight, though." She thought for a moment, then echoed the words she'd thought. "We could learn so much from each other, you know, like things that are safe to eat, and what you use for medicine. And we could teach you everything we learned in space." Her gaze fell on Phyra as she worked, chewing thoughtfully on her lip.

Phyra nodded as she retracted the cloth, placing the leaf in its place. "We could," she agreed, meeting the other girl's gaze and giving a brief, small smile. "We'll start with this," she decided. It was a spontaneous decision, yes. But perhaps it wasn't a bad idea. She'd get information in return, surely, if Pan really meant what she'd said. Besides, she'd know the leaf anyway. "This is a common leaf, but it's great for open wounds. It keeps infection out and does a surprisingly good job of keeping the blood in when you tie it in place." As she spoke, she wound a fresh rag around Pan's torso, tying it tightly to keep the leaf and fabric in place.
