okay, i'm currently reading Squirrelflight's Hope and finished reading Chapter 10 of that book (it's.. decent? i'm sure the other super editions are better) and all I can say is:
good lord- are all of Tigerclawstar's male brown tabby descendants absolute freaking idiots?
so Tigerheartstar doesn't like a group of strong, independent she-cats just because they dare do enough to unintentionally bruise him and his clanmates' ridiculously huge egos? and he wants to start an unnecessary war with them because why..? why is he such a jerk holy cow-
and please don't get me started on Bramblestar.
I understand him wishing that Squirrelflight didn't undermine him at the leaders gathering and honestly I agree, they should've stayed as a united front (or at least she should've taken him to the side to discuss her idea first instead of telling the others on impulse) but I swear this stupid cat goes through so many mood swings when reacting to Squirrelflight, from wanting to demote her, to gazing at her with "understanding eyes", to back to wanting to fire her from being deputy all within the span of a few pages
of course, i'm only on Chapter 10, so my opinions on both of these characters could change probably not for Tigerheartstar though, and knowing that he's the father of one of the three main characters in the newest arc is making me cringe.
please for the love of all things holy, tell me he becomes a more tolerable character.

Literally the only characters I liked in this book were Leafstar and Tree. And alot of things in the book are interesting in concept, but poor in execution.

Tigerheart is plenty tolerable in TBC, even pleasant, really, But in Squirrelflight's Hope? Guy's just Tigerstar lite, just like he was in The Raging Storm. He wants to pick a fight more so he can have an excuse to take a swing at Skyclan, more than anything else.

Tigerheartstar is unbearable anywhere imo and Bramblestar in this book, what confused me most about him here is how much he worried about his Clan's image. Like, he never used to do that. So when he did now... that confused me. SqH is what made me go from neutral to dislike on Bramblestar.
