So I just started re-reading Tallstar’s Revenge, and I noticed that Sunfall was the deputy while his brother, Featherpaw, was still only an apprentice. Even though medicine cat apprenticeships are longer, they’re still less than two years, and that’s really young for a deputy.
I know the two weren’t technically brothers until Goosefeather’s Curse came out, but I think it would be interesting to get a novella or something explaining the circumstances of him becoming deputy so young, instead of just retconning the Tallstar’s Revenge allegiances away. Is there anything you find interesting about him that you’d like to see in a novella?

Actually they were confirmed brothers way before GC, in Secrets of the Clans

I would love to see a novella about these brothers, either one could have an interesting story to tell. Featherwhisker was Goosefeather's apprentice and Spottedleaf's mentor, he was sandwiched between two very important cats in the series. He was also involved in the Yellowfang plot. With Sunstar, we can see how he handled keeping ThunderClan together after Pinestar up and left the clan to him, also his thoughts on the whole Bluestar vs Thistleclaw thing, and who he was really looking at as options for deputy, because in the end of BP, it seems like Thistleclaw was never an option.

I agree. They are criminally underrated as characters and there's a lot of story potential with them. I kinda wanna see more depth with Sunstar's feelings towards Moonflower and Bluestar and Featherwhisker handling Goosefeather's deteriorating health.

There are a lot of ThunderClan cats from that time period, who I think would have interesting stories to tell. Like Windflight, he's half WindClan in a book that features a half-clan relationship, he is the father of Thistleclaw, as well as being the father of Thrushpelt and Tawnyspots. Adderfang, he was Thistleclaw's mentor, and the acting deputy, I'm curious if he felt slighted about being passed over.

I think Sunstar saw Adderfang as a dealbreaker when he got beat up by Mudfur XD jokes aside, there's definitely plenty of interesting characters to write about during Pinestar & Sunstar's era compared to modern times.
