My opinion tends to change, but I generally really liked it. I did have some issues with the pacing, though. For example, I thought it spent a little too much time on Bluefur as an apprentice, and then after that, things feel a bit rushed. I don't know, could just be me.
Thistleclaw was also a pretty generic antagonist all things considered, and the fact that people legitimately defend his actions in this book (yes, even the Tiny incident) doesn't really help, either.
And for what it was, I also really liked OakxBlue and I always saw its rushness as being at least somewhat intentional, and it's also one of the few forbidden relationships I actually like in this series.

Strong dislike. I didn't really like Bluestar's POV, most of the characters didn't seem as nice and endearing as they did in Tallstar's Revenge, Crookedstar's Promise, and Yellowfang's Secret, and I hated how rude and disrespectful everyone was to Goosefeather.

The most nostalgic book of all time. From what I’ve seen, after Into the Wild, this is the Warriors book with the most videos on YouTube. It’s just so nostalgic and it’s the start of The Four Legendary Era. I LOVE it!

I read the books in publishing order without looking up anything beforehand so it was nice to get a better glimpse into the past. I liked it and I still do but CP just outdid it in every way which is what kind of sours it for me. Some of the plot is weird and I didn't like Goosefeather giving her the "Like fire you would blaze through the forest" prophecy but I like to think he just got mixed up or gave her an early notice (about Firestar)

Love it. It was a fantastic look into the past. Child me was blown away
Loved getting a better look at who Bluestar is, so I think it was a fantastic idea that they chose to start giving the OG leaders these kinds of back stories
Bluestar was such an interesting leader that I wouldn't mind seeing more of her as leader before Fireheart came along

It's alright.
Hot take, but I wasn't too fond of CP's way of making everyone good and endearing then cramming all the wrongs in the world onto Rainflower. BP is a little guilty of that (*cough* Thistleclaw *cough*) although not quite as blatant. It was one of my first books, so I do have some nostalgia left for it and Bluestar.

My favorite Warriors book, partly because of nostalgia, partly because of Bluestar herself. Love her as a POV in this book.

Like, it went into Bluestar's character very well. BP is one of my favorites these days.
