Enzo leaps down from his position of the fence easily landing into the green grass of Bonnie's backyard. He pads over to her stopping a few feet from her. He tilts his head an evil like smile sprawls across his face. ❝Mmh. I don't ever recall me actually saying I'd leave.❞ The tom never fully intended to leave in the first place, he only agreed so she'd go along with his wicked scheme.

Bonnie stood when Enzo approached. The gray fur on her back began rising. Honestly, she didn't remember if he did either, but she wanted to believe she would never have to see him again. "I told you to leave this neighborhood. If you murder again I will tell everyone." she hissed. She knew she was being bold, but she knew Enzo wouldn't kill her. If he wanted to, he would have done it the the day they met.

Enzo froze at Bonnie's words yet found himself grinning at her. ❝Go ahead. Tell them. I don't care. Like I'm afraid of some pathetic house cats.❞ He half smirks with a tilt of his head. The tortie took a step even closer to the grey cat. ❝Does my presence really bother you?❞ He asks mockingly only to fake pout. ❝Such a shame. Here I thought we were becoming friends. Mh. Pity.❞

Bonnie couldn't refrain herself from growling. Fear arose in her eyes when he stepped closer, but it disappeared when he spoke. The tabby scoffed. "Friends? You're not capable of friendship. You kill other cats for fun! I hate you!" She held her head high, faking confidence. "Maybe one or two, but you can't take a group at a time."

Enzo's eyes darken at Bonnie's words.❝Like I said yesterday. I don't kill for fun, I'm saving cats from these wretched things you call humans. All they cause is harm.❞ His lips curling into a snarl lightly showing his sharp ivory teeth. Of course Enzo wouldn't know that not all humans are the monsters that he had as owners. Most humans loved their animals as if they were their children. But it was obvious Enzo was not going to change his mind.

yeshh )
She watched him take his leave, her chin resting on her forepaws. There was no way she could rest now. So she decided she would go for a hunt. She could take her anger out justifiable. After waiting a couple minutes, the she cat snuck through the hole under the fence of the yard. She walked into the woods, taking in a deep breath. Along with the fresh scent of pine, she caught the smell of a baby rabbit. She stalked the scent, staying low to the ground. She stopped when the white fall of fluff appeared before her eyes. Eyes dilating, she got her hind legs ready to jump, but then she heard a growl.
Bonnie quickly turned around, the rustling of the bushes alerting the bunny. But that was the least of her problems. Before her stood a dog twice her size. She froze in fear. The tabby had never run into a dog that was unleashed before. The dog barked, saliva spraying. He lunged towards her in what felt like a slit second. Bonnie yowled, darting out of the way. She started to run. The dog ran after her, staying hot on her tail.

Enzo after leaving Bonnie had made his way into the woods mere seconds of being
in the woods he pounces on a mouse. Laying down he's happily munching away on said mouse when his ears twitch at the nearby sound of a dog. And a cat? Enzo could just feel the automatic eye roll he seemed to have acquired around a certain molly. Bonnie. He thinks annoyed. With a heavy sigh he pushes himself to his paws and pads to where the noise was coming from.
The tortoiseshell tomcat peers through a bush spotting Bonnie run by, the dog not even a second after. Enzo groans loudly to himself and leaps out of the bush now running to catch up with the crazed dog and Bonnie. He eventually gains enough speed where he can leap at the dog's back. Planting his unsheathed claws into the canine's back and shoulders as he latches his fangs onto one of the dog's ears. That immediately got the dog to skid to a stop crying out in pain as he starts bouncing around trying to throw Enzo off just like a horse.Eventually the loose dog ends up flinging Enzo off but unfortunately ends up making Enzo slam into a nearby tree trunk. The dog bares his teeth at now the two cats taking a step towards them only for Enzo to stagger over to where Bonnie was and hisses at the dog, his back fur all bristled.
Enzo swats his paw at the dog catching one of his claws in the dog's nostril. The dog cries out once more and turns and runs tail tucked between his legs. Enzo collapses into a sitting position slightly hunched over breathing heavily. ❝You're welcome.❞ he grumbles out.

This must have been de ja vu. She remembered running through the trees like this just a week ago. The thought caused her limbs to move quicker. This situation would go much worse. Hearing the shriek from the predator caused her to slow to a stop. Looking back, she saw someone she was least expecting. Enzo had jumped onto the beast's back. She watched with wide eyes. He was... helping her? But the dog was much larger than him as well; Bonnie yelped seeing the tom crash into the tree. "Enzo-" she called. With one down, the dog turned to the remaining she cat. She started to scramble back, claws protracting. SHe held her paw up, ready to attack before Enzo jumped in front of her. He had managed to nick the dog, successfully making him retreat. With the threat gone, Bonnie struggled to calm her ragged breathing, head hung and eyes closed. Her icy eyes peered down at Enzo when he spoke. "Th-thank you," she murmured. She stayed silent for a while, her expression unreadable. "Why did you help me?" she asked tentatively.

Enzo lifts his head up still trying to regain his normal breathing pattern, his yellow-green eyes lock onto the grey molly almost looking surprised that she thanked him after all he's done to her little community. Ears flick backwards at the thank you, it felt weird. He didn't like it. So he rolls his eyes at her. It's not like anyone would have saved him from a dog attack but whatever. ❝Please, even if I don't care for you much, I still don't want to see a cat get killed by a dog.❞ He retorts as he forces himself to stand up only to wince everytime he breathes. He knew something was broken inside of him, possibly a rib or two when the dog threw him against the tree.

Bonnie watched him intently. "So you can, but not a dog." She shook her head. Give him a break! He just saved your life. She lay her down down, her round eyes peering up at him. She was having an internal struggle at the moment. On one hand, he had went out of his way and risked his life for her. But did that erase his actions from before? The tabby now felt indebted to him, unfortunately. Even though he did technically ruin her life, he just gave her a new chance at life. The conflicting thoughts were exhausting. She noticed his face contorting every time he took a breath. She saw now blood on him, it must have been an internal injury. "Are you hurt?" She pushed herself up. "Lean on me. I can help you."

Enzo squeezes his eyes shut trying to numb the pain somehow yet with no effect. His eyes peel open
at Bonnie's voice. Turning his head slightly trying more to focus on breathing more lightly as to not agitate his internal injury even more than he already has. Why on earth would she save him? He's killed cats she's known, heck he's killed cats that don't even live in her area. He's that messed up in the head. Maybe he was a serial killer then. Enzo continues to stare at Bonnie his face though twisting up in pain did show a shroud of suspicion. His ears lay back against his skull upon realizing why. She must pity him. Great. ❝I don't need your help!❞ He spats as he then tries to shove himself away from her only for his right front leg to crumple underneath him making his dive chest first into the dirt.
Enzo groans in pain and exhaustion. ❝Fine, fine. I'll allow you to help me.❞ He says in-between sharp breaths. The lean tortie manages to stagger back onto his paws and allows for Bonnie to be his supporter of his body. He leans into the slight fluffy grey molly already feeling a tad bit better as some of his weight is gone from his injured side.

"Looks like you do." Bonnie couldn't help but smirk. It was probably sick, but it felt nice to be the one who held more power. She could see how it would be addicting. "I'll walk slow." she assured, starting to head in the direction of her home. She trotted slowly in silence. She genuinely did not know what to say. All she could hope was that the dog didn't come back, because then they would be screwed. Once she saw her home fence, she nudged him toward it. "I know how much you hate humans, but they're the only ones that can help you right now. You can trust me." She let him enter her yard first, helping him through if he had trouble squeezing through. The tabby stayed behind him, and once into the yard herself she began to meow loudly, running up to the screen door and scratching it.
Her efforts alerted the owner immediately. Daphne came out. "Bonnie?" she called with urgency. "What's the matter?" she watched the tabby run back to the injured tom. Her eyes widened, before she slowly started to walk up to the two. She crouched when she got close, speaking in a soft tone and holding out the back of her hand. "Shh, it's okay, I won't hurt you."

Enzo along the way back to who knows where Bonnie was leading him was dead silent. Every time he sucked in air, part of his broken rib jabbed into his lung, maybe he even had a punctured lung he honestly didn't know but he did know he was in incredible pain. Enzo manages to squeeze himself under the tunnel that led into Bonnie's backyard only once sharply intaking breath. The tortie then once inside just collapses onto his non-injured side, his breathing slightly shallower than when he had been in the woods. The bruise-looking wound seemed to have spread further across his rib cage.
Enzo freezes at seeing a human approaching his as he now pants in pain. His eyes flicker over to Bonnie instantly. Yet somehow looking at her, he felt safe. And this human didn't seem bad. But that's how it starts. His eyes then lock onto the human hand that was hovering in front of his face. His eyes trail up the hand and the arm before locking onto human eyes. He searched them, not finding any bad intentions whatsoever. Maybe Bonnie was right. No. He was growing soft now. But he hurt so much. He wanted it to stop. Enzo unhappily beside himself reluctantly leans his nose to press against the female human's back hand: Help me.

Do you want to rp his time at the vet? They can end up putting him under anesthesia and he could think that he's led to a trap or something. )
The owner smiled , beginning to scratch his chin. Bonnie sighed in relief that he didn't reject her owner. But really, he had no other option. Daphne ran her hand from his head to his back, but heard a pained sound from the tomcat. "Oh no baby, are you hurt?" she asked in a hushed tone. She carefully touched his rib cage area, watching his reaction. She shook her head, sympathetic. "I gotta take you to the vet." She stood back up, dashing back into her house.
Bonnie close to Enzo, letting him rest on her. "She'll take care of you. How is your pain?" she questioned. Only a few minutes passed before Daphne appeared with a carrier. She set it in front off him, opening the door. Inside was a handful of salmon kitty treats. "Go on," she beckoned.

[ sure C: ooh gonna have some fever like dreams : o o o idk lol ]

Enzo for the first time ever finds a human hand to be affectionate and it weirded him out. Sure the scientists that owned him first were nice (at first) but they never handled him with such gentleness before. This is nice. He thinks as he softly purrs as his chin is scratched. The tomcat does hiss in pain when the human touches the area of his injury. He narrows his eyes at her once her back was turned to go back inside the house.
Enzo finds himself allowing trust into Bonnie as he leans against her once more like in the woods. Bad. Is the only thing he manages to wheeze out. Enzo tenses up as the human comes back with some contraption. As she sets it near him he presses up against Bonnie almost seeming afraid. His eyes weren't trained on the carrier but what was inside. Were those the same objects his former owners shoved into his system? He frowns at the human and hisses at her. Only for his face to contort in pain. That defiantly made him get in the carrier. He was sick of this stabbing sensation. He wanted it gone.
AT THE VET An hour and a half of hissing and clawing from Enzo the vet and his technician finally got some anesthesia in him. And since then Enzo has been laying peacefully as they operated on him. Unknowingly the poor cat felt like he was back in one of those metal cages in a dark basement with only the moon to comfort him as him mind was all wonky and fuzzy with those multicolored pills. But this time it was storming. Did Bonnie send him to a trap? Was this her revenge on him for killing those cats? Oh she was so dead once he got out of here.
AFTER THE VET Three days later and Enzo groggily lifted his head as he gazed around the room he was in. His vision was all blurry and he felt so drowsy still. As his eyes soon focused he found he was on some sort of bed. A fluffy cat bed to be exact and by the cat bed was two bowls, one with water and the other with some wet food mixed with hard, and it said "Bonnie" on the side. The tortie glances at his side and finds this white wrapping around him, his tail and ears flick in curiosity. Yet his eyes widen. The pain was gone! Enzo smiles to himself only for it to drop now realizing where he must be. He immediately tries to stand but falls back down. He was sore. But that was to be expected, he had been seriously injured.

yes thats fantastic, he'll get so much love from daphne too hehe )
Bonnie knew what the carrier meant, and she did feel bad for him. Bu the strangers in those stark white rooms were nice, and they helped her get better once. She was reminded of his outburst a couple days ago, where he spoke about humans injecting him with stuff. Could that have been the same place she went to? It was a possibility.
The shecat waited anxiously at home. He had been there for a couple hours, and she was starting to worry that maybe something would happen to him. But she felt conflicted. Why did she care about someone that committed cold blooded murder? And why did that same person rescue her? Enzo was very hard to understand.
When Enzo finally arrived home, he was knocked out. Daphne brought out another bed for Enzo, but Bonnie let him have her bed and she took the old one. Those three days the tabby never left Enzo, sitting or lying with him to be there when when he woke up.
When he woke up, Bonnie was there in the neighboring bed. She watched him try to stand. "Good morning," she meowed. "You were out for a couple days. She took you to a place and they healed you. Are you hungry? There is food and water right beside you."

Enzo's head whipped over at the sudden voice. Bonnie. He stares at her blinking slowly. ❝...Good... Morning...❞ he responds a bit wry. He's never been inside a house before. I mean, he has but in a basement, in a cage. So this really was a whole new experience for him. An experience he still wasn't sure if he liked or not. His eyes widen at being told how long he had been out was it really that long? Even though he honestly didn't trust humans still whoever her human took him to helped him. Maybe he was on his way to changing his perspective of humans. Maybe. Enzo's eyes drift over to the food and water bowl looking extremely suspicious of it. ❝What is that?❞ He says sounding disgusted by what was in the food bowl. It looked really weird. Though he does force himself to lean over and lap up some water, well actually a lot of water. He didn't realize how thirsty he was.

"It's food." she replied in a matter of fact tone. "It tastes better than it looks. And if you behave, you can get fish." she mused, her tone light. She had been doing a lot of thinking while he was asleep. He had looked so innocent, you wouldn't think that he killed in cold blood. It got her thinking, was he able to stop? Maybe she could help him. Bonnie had decided that she would try to be his friend. Maybe if he didn't feel alone, he wouldn't resort to violence? "You're probably going to be here for a while, so get comfortable. She lay in her bed, chin resting on the edge. The tabby watched him drink up the water bowl. "Wow, you must be really thirsty. How are you feeling?"

Enzo after he had finished lapping up as much water as his stomach would allow he actually felt a bit better, well his dry throat did. The tortie then sniffs at the food as Bonnie spoke. It did smell nice. The way it looked... not so much. He turns his head to Bonnie as she asked him how he felt. ❝Not too bad. A bit sore though.❞ He replies in an actual nice tone for once. Only for himself to turn his head back to the food bowl and take a hesitant bite of the food, chewing and then swallowing. His eyes light up, his nose was right it was good! Enzo finds himself allowing a very small smile to grace his maw as he now practically chows down on the food. After he finishes the food he lets out a yawn, his claws flexing out as he tries to stretch but flinches at the movement, still not fully recovered from the surgery. He proceeds to turn into a more comfortable laying down position. Enzo then rests the side of his head against the plush bedding.

A few hours go by before Enzo awakens. He lifts his head and lets out a yawn. Enzo shakes his head to rid of the sleepiness he feels but that had to do with the drugs Daphne gave him to help the soreness in his side. She had mixed it with his food. Tired of laying in bed he pushes himself to his paws careful not to strain his stitches that were now covered by new gauze. Which wasn't on before. He must be a deep sleeper for Daphne to change it that easily. Enzo frowns to himself at the thought, that isn't good. Anyone could do anything to him then. The tortoiseshell though finds himself looking over at Bonnie as he lightly steps off the bed, she seemed at peace which he hadn't seen since he crashed into her life. His ears twitch as his head tilts, How odd.
Enzo proceeds to slowly stagger over to the window and glances up at it. He wanted to sunbath but had no idea how to get up there. He possibly couldn't. He turns his body around trying to look for another patch of sunlight that drifted through the sealed windows inside the home. His ears slightly lower at not being able to find one.

Daphne was coming upstairs to put away the laundry. When she saw the tortoiseshell walking through the walking, she set down the hamper. "Cheeto!" she exclaimed, walking over. Yes, that was she named him after the cheese. At the vet they scanned him for a microchip, and he didn't have a collar either. That meant he was probably a stray. It was a miracle he didn't have any fleas, and they gave him dewormer and shots in the office. She decided that she would shelter him for a few days until he got his strength back. She approached him, crouching down to his level. She held her hand out again, before rubbing the patch between his hears. "You finally awake huh? How you feeling," she spoke in a soft, crooning tone.

Enzo's ears prick up at the human voice suddenly in the room. He turns his body to the noise not expecting the human to be so close to him. he takes a step back and stares at her. His eyes though end up closing as he purrs happily at her scratching between his ears. This he could get used to. He finds himself tilting his head and pushing his head into Daphne's hand, still purring. The tomcat honestly hadn't ever really felt a nice, affectionate touch from a human before. And now that he was getting some that's all he craved it seemed.

"Aww you're such a good boy." Daphne praised. She moved her hand under his chin, continuing to scratch. Her other hand started to scratch the tom's back. "How has no one picked you up already?" she mused. She continued to love on him, now sitting down to get more comfortable. Bonnie opened he eyes at the sound of her human's voice. She quickly looked to the side, finding the other bed vacant. She yawned as she stood up, fore paws stretching. The tabby followed Daphne's voice, and she was surprised to see Enzo sitting there and purring. She meowed, walking over. "Bonnie, you have a good nap?" One hand that was previously on Enzo moved over to the she cat. Bonnie looked at Enzo. "I didn't think you were capable of feeling happy." she meowed.

Enzo looks at Bonnie seeming to have a sorrowful look on his face. His purring had gotten quiet as well. Before it had been loud now it was just slowly dying out. Is this happy? He thinks to himself, he's never actually remembered what that really felt like. He had some of it when he was a little kitten. He remembered how happy he was being with his mother and siblings but now that feeling really was just a long forgotten memory. And just look at what losing that feeling did to him. Turned him into a monster. Those scientists had changed him from a happy cat to a vile, heartless thing. But was he really heartless? I mean he saved Bonnie from that dog. A heartless cat wouldn't have done that. Right?
The tortieshell tom was lost in his own thoughts as he stared at Bonnie. Only for him to shake his head ridding himself of those negative thoughts that seemed to constantly swirl around in his brain lately. But he realized that after going to that place where he had gotten better, he no longer felt so angry. More so now just wry of his new surroundings and this human.
