Should she have stayed a warrior?

No. Her staying a warrior is ridiculous considering she was skilled in medicine and the whole medicine cats not having kits was stupid anyways
It's more beneficial to the clan to have at LEAST two medicine cats, and Jayfeather realized that - which is why he asked her back.

It was pretty stupid for her to punish herself with that when she's had no training and since she doesn't like asking for help anymore, she didn't have anyone teach her how to be a warrior...she was in punishment, yeah, but it was a waste of her and everyone elese's time because she was a horrible warrior in term of lack of skills.

Nah, she should work where her talents are and where she's happy, both which happen to be as a medicine cat. Leafpool worked hard, but made a totally terrible warrior.

Yes. She shouldn't be in such a high position of authority after breaking such an important rule of the Code. Yes, she's still skilled in medicine, so if Jayfeather asks for help on occasion she can help, but she shouldn't be in authority or be able to have a link with StarClan.

She should have been exiled. Send her to WindClan with Crowfeather. I'm joking, Firestar never would have exiled his own daughter, or pretty much anyone else for that matter, but especially not his own daughter. I think that she still should have stayed on as a medicine cat, but as an apprentice, who then worked her way back up to being a full medicine cat. Also, I don't find the "following her heart" thing as an excuse for her actions. If she was a true loyal medicine cat, her heart would have always been with her clan and her duties, not with some warrior from another clan.

No, but I do think she still got her position back too soon.

I don't get wanting her to be an apprentice or occasional assistant when she was more skilled than Jayfeather

I don't get wanting her to be an apprentice or occasional assistant when she was more skilled than Jayfeather Yeah the apprentice thing baffles me. Medicine Cats work differently from Warriors. If Leafpool was remade an apprentice, what would constitute her "worthy enough" to get her full title back anyways? When we saw Firestar get his Warrior status revoked he got it back eventually sure, but that was rather short (And granted was really awkward for the Warrior apprentices to get used to, imagine how weird it'd be for Jayfeather to be unironically teaching his teacher). What would constitute Leafpool as "good enough" to regain her status in that scenario? Being a good girl? How exactly can you prove that in being a Meddie for her case? Not running off back to Crowfeather? She did that anyways in canon and was still stuck as a Warrior for years until Jayfeather asked her to come back because it is easier with Two Med. Cats with such a big clan than one.

I'm going with the popular vote here, Leafpool was and is a horrible warrior in terms of skills but tbh I think she kinda deserves it cuz Crowfeather is way too tacky for her.

She deserved a time-out from Firestar why go out with Crowfeather when there were so many other toms out there *or as big nate says " a lot more fish in the ocean".
