--Cami the Frog She watched as Sköll created the dark companions, eyes tracing them as they ran through the wall. A screech sounded out, followed by a soft 'boof' noise. At first, Cami thought it was the Phantom, but set that aside when warbling sounded again. Sounds of struggling could be heard, then it went silent. The frog narrowed her eyes a bit, then pretty much threw herself back when an ugly black head smashed through the door. A big, glaring eye in the center, misshapen mouth snarling. A fisted tentacle broke into the door, pulling it apart bit by bit. Cami wrinkled her nose when she noticed some of the black guck was missing from various parts of its face and body, showing bone under the Phantom, bite and claw marks carved into the bone from Sköll's shadows.
And, some liquid dropped from its mouth, the color of the creatures sent to attack it. As the guck fell into the house, it licked its lips, chirping softly as it stood up. It was unable to float due to its injuries.
Cami shuddered as the guck started to fill itself in, the scent of rot increasing.
'Hurts... it hurts...'
She heard the raspy, frustrated voice, but no one's mouth moved. Cami took a few steps toward the Phantom, but paused when it hissed softly, briefly swiping a tentacle in her direction. The frog could use nature manipulation to fight, but she couldn't manipulate what she couldn't see. So she was pretty much useless in the situation until someone, besides the Phantom, needed healing.
'Bad... bad wolf... bad frog... want... stop King...'
The thing finally seemed to regain its strength back, crouching in preparation to leap, its one eye narrowing with hate. Cami squeaked when it leaped, but could only stare at what happened next.
BOOM!
The Phantom was fried alive in a binding flash of light. Its skin seemed to be boiling and burning as it writhed on the ground, screaming as a hulking, more so fat form slouched into the room, carrying a staff that had little lightning coils dancing around it, the staff smoking slightly.
A panda wearing a fluffy, now soaking cape entered the house as the Phantom continued to wail, tipping his party hat up with a "finger", saying with an old, tired voice "You have the oddest friends, Sköll..."

The appearance of the Phantom in his place was somewhat disturbing. What made it even worse was the scrambling of words it managed to croak out before its existence was eradicated. It had confirmed Cami's suspicions, as well as those of Sköll's. Something was happening, something was brewing and it would be quite soon. They would have to work fast, including a gathering of all Alphas. Sköll almost had a migraine at the thought of all of them in one place. Although he loved his friends, sometimes they got little done. They were rarely all clustered together and loved to catch up with one another. Yet, this was a matter of importance. Perhaps things would actually be accomplished.
Sköll's face broke out into a wolfy grin when the fuzzy panda came into view at his doorstep, rightfully ignoring the smoking corpse in his living room. He would just have to take care of that later, despite wanting it out of his place now, as fast as possible. He would have the shadows take care of it, he mused.
The distraught look in his friend's face caused a rumble of laughter to escape his chest; it was completely impossible to hold it back. If it weren't for the figure in front of them, there was no saying what would happen to Cami. Sköll would probably have made it out alive, the shadows would make sure of it. Without him, they would have no means of becoming 'alive.' Of course they would protect his life, it was undeniable.
"What can I say, excitement is drawn to me." He remarked, sitting back on his haunches once more. The danger was gone and there was no need for him to act alert once more. He stretched out his back as he peered at his friend, tilting his head to the side. "What brings you here anyway? Last time you came you vowed to never return." He joked, his persona immediately switched as he became the lovable Alpha once more.

--Cami and Tiberius "Excitement and danger are two very different things," the panda said, winding a little as his legs trembled. His weight, as usual, was too much and he had to sit. He looked over at the smoking Phantom, which was now a skeleton of some foreign being, with tar-like guck dropping off of some of the ribs and curled fingers, the odor of rot faded. Turning back to Sköll, he continued "I guess Cami got to you first. I was on my way to tell you of these wretches. Attacked the village I live in, killed thirty." The old panda scratched his chin, looking as Cami spoke "Sköll wants to take a look at the seal Mother and Father made. It weakens, Tiberius."
"I know, I know," the Alpha spoke "If only Greely were here. He knew the most about Phantoms." But the former Wolf Alpha had been long dead. Tiberius sighed, fanning away the last of the smoke that came from his staff, and saying "I assume you'd go look tomorrow? That storm is something else. Father must be angry." Some believed that storms were caused by Zios's raging. Perhaps he was angry about the Phantoms too?
Cami opened her mouth to say something, but was stopped once again when the bones beside them twitched a little, the finger bones curling a little.
'Hurts... it hurts...'
Tiberius was too shocked to even blast it again. He then reached out, to nudge Cami away, as the frog had been ready to heal it. It was because she didn't like seeing anything in pain. The frog jumped a little, when the guck started to return, to fill itself back up.
"Don't touch it," the panda warned.
"Maybe we can help it..." Cami said softly "These are Mother's tears, so they can't be all bad-"
Tiberius stopped the frog, not even wanting to hear what she was saying, himself saying to Sköll "Make it a party of three, as I'd like to join you to the sealed spot, if what Cami says is true." He jumped a little, when the smoking figure began to move. He hit it away with his staff, and it hit the wall with a soft hiss. The bones gained a bit more movement, as guck acted as muscle. It was taking its sweet time recovering though.
'Mean... evil... King... kill you...'
The panda obviously didn't see the thing near them as a threat though, but Tiberius narrowed his eyes, staff crackling with lightning coils again, saying "This just deepens my worries." Phantoms never did this before, "regenerate" like this. Maybe they really would need to address Mira after they examined the King's prison.

Sköll eyed the regenerating Phantom warily, his nose wrinkling in disgust once more as the scent of burned and decaying flesh wafted over to where he sat on the opposite side of Tiberius and Cami. It was odd, seeing this occur. Phantoms never regenerated after being beaten down, especially from one of Tiberius's shocks. He had never been on the receiving end of them, but they looked like they hurt pretty badly.
"If thirty of your villagers were killed, this turns the entire thing into a major threat." He muttered, clenching his jaw as he continued to keep the creature in his field of vision. He still despised the fact that it was ruining his living room. He was quite fond of the place and who knows how long it would take to get rid of the stench. When this was all over, of course. Who knew how long that would take, who knew if Sköll would even make it out alive to clean up his living room. Optimistic thoughts, he reminded himself.
"I'd suggest we leave right now, but who knows how many more are out there, lurking in the dark." He mused, moving closer to stand beside the other Alpha and Cami as he peered at the "creature" that slid down his wall. His upper lip wrinkled in disgust and he looked away, glancing at the open doorway.
Quickly, the two shadows from before morphed back at his feet, heads hung low in shame. They had failed in their one job and were embarrassed in not carrying out Sköll's orders. It's quite alright. He told them, his voice gentle. Go stand guard at the door. They immediately leaped to follow through, taking place at the entranceway.
"This is worse than I imagined."

--Cami and Tiberius "What do we do about that though?" Cami asked, pointing at the bubbling corpse, which sat itself up, warbling softly. One large eye appeared, and it looked around, as if confused about where it was. Chirping softly, it crawled (because it wasn't fully formed), to a corner and curled up, actually shaking.
"Kill it?" Tiberius questioned, scratching his side.
"W-We could keep it?" Cami suggested "Get info from it?"
The panda shrugged, looking over at Sköll for his opinion. The Phantom's skin had stopped boiling, only halfway finished. It looked like a half decayed mess. Tiberius raised his free paw, and an earthen hand reached into the doorway, past the shadows, to grab the Phantom. Taking the beast outside, it was now trapped and held in place.
"We can finish that discussion when or if we get back," Tiberius said "The Phantom isn't going anywhere now. Let's get going ourselves, hm?" He stood up, legs shaking a little bit. Cami hopped onto Sköll's shoulder, ready to go too. There probably were no other Phantoms around, as their stench and presence would be easily picked out.
"Worse than we imagined indeed," Tiberius said with a nod, stepping toward the doorway, looking out at the trapped Phantom outside. He asked aloud for Zios to calm his rage, hoping the Guardian heard. Sure enough, the storm ceased to a soft drizzle, and Tiberius sighed a little in relief. Cami looked at Sköll, asking "Do you think we'll be able to fix what we find?" The seal was weak, not broken. Perhaps the two Alphas could fix it? The frog assumed that the Guardians were not to help them. And honestly, it scared Cami to know that they wouldn't. What if the King broke free? Some said his power dwarfed that of the all the Alphas. Combined.
She watched as Tiberius walked slowly out into the rain, saying "I know where it is. Teleport to Zios' Temple. The prison seal is in the forest around it, somewhere." Raising his staff, he disappeared in a flash of silver light, leaving silvery leaves behind. Cami glanced at Sköll, before leaving his shoulder in a poof of green light.

{{ sorry, sorry!! the day just slipped right through my fingers ^^; }}
"If we find nothing good from the seal, perhaps we can return to the Phantom in hopes that it may be able to answer our questions." He suggested after a moment's pause, eyes blinking as the Alpha opposite him held the wounded creature in some sort of earthen hand. The other tended to show off his abilities, didn't he? In a way, Sköll didn't blame him. If his ability wasn't as dark and menacing, he too would show it off. But having control over the shadows wasn't really accepted with open arms, if you got the gist.
"If the seal isn't as broken as we thought, both Tiberius and I may be able to fix it with each other's help. If it's worse.. Well, we may have to call upon the other Alphas. Or maybe even Father or Mother. If push comes to shove though. That would be our last resort. For now, we have to see what we can do." He explained to Cami as both her and Tiberius vanished in bright flashes of light that hurt his eyes for a moment.
Sköll sighed slightly. They were so impatient, weren't they? Couldn't even wait for him to finish a sentence before going ahead and doing their own thing. If he didn't know better, he would assume they were doing it on purpose.
Releasing a growl from the depths of his chest, the Alpha Wolf brought the shadows back to him. The creatures returned to where he stood almost immediately, as if being sucked in to his body. They blended in with his fur and almost seemed to disappear into thin air. Yet, there was a sort of trail of ebony smoke that seemed to waft from his pelt, revealing the shadows' presence.
Before following after the others, Sköll used a smaller shadow from the corner of the room to morph into a miniature bird. He ordered it to keep guard over the Phantom on his front lawn as he shut the door behind him, his paws sinking into the soaked grass. The creature settled itself onto the windowsill that was located in front of the Phantom, its gaze never straying.
It didn't hurt to be cautious, did it?
Pleased at last, Sköll followed suit, vanishing to teleport to the temple. He disappeared in a wift of smoke, destination in mind.

(It's okay x3)
--Cami and Tiberius The Temple gave off an immediately punishing aura. Had the trio before it not been so powerful (the Alphas, anyway), the sheer power would've rendered them unconscious. Cami fidgeted, muttering "My head hurts..."
"The Temple takes on an aura of Zios' emotion," Tiberius explained "It can make you feel pain, anger, lust, whatever he's feeling. He's distraught, at the very least." Soon, as if recognizing them somehow, the aura changed to become warmer. Giving off a... safe feeling. Looking around, he headed toward the forest nearby, grumbling as his legs protested a little. As soon as he reached the edge of the large trees, he choked and fell over. Cami was already hopping over, but he waved her off, opening his mouth to speak. But he was silenced.
'I expected... different... you aren't Greely... or Liza... And I don't know what that pebble you brought is...'
'Do you not... fear me...? Or that you do well to hide it...?
Cami didn't talk, or Tiberius. A third voice, faint and raspy baritone did. The two did notice though, that the forest gave off a negative, intimidating aura, but it didn't touch Zios' Temple. Tiberius picked himself up, saying quietly "Come." His staff crackled with lightning as he led the way forward. Cami was shaking between every hop she took. Her body was smaller, and she was sensitive to energy. She felt vomiting in the negative place at the moment.
"Be on guard, of course," Tiberius muttered "I won't be surprised if-"
And then, the familiar chirping sounded, only times it by twenty, give or take a few.
One appeared. Then two, covered in some bone-like armor, like an evolved species. The animals of Jamaa wore armor over their clothes in some parts. These Phantoms seemed to fancy the idea too. Their tentacles propped them up tall, not even bothering to float. Each was guck and tar Cyclops, a big eye glaring down. They didn't attack though, as if they didn't see fit.
"There are many," Cami whispered to Sköll "I can sense them-"
"Speak loud, trespassers," one beast snapped "This is sacred ground, and your flesh is unworthy here now." One of the brutes hissed as Tiberius took a step forward, but he suddenly sat himself down again, saying "Darn weight..." All he could do was keep the two away from him with his crackling staff.

Sköll's eyes squinted in distaste at the creatures standing before him, the bright cobalt color darkening with distaste. He clenched his jaw, biting back the bitter remark that threatened to bubble from his throat. If he provoked the Phantoms in front of them, what would happen? Their demise, that's would. He took Cami's statement to heart, believing that there was more surrounding them than just the two standing before their group of three.
He was glad that the clearing had more of a safer, warmer feeling for the trio. If it was any different, who knew what would happen. Sköll didn't like working under pressure and the stiffening aura that was present a few moments ago wouldn't have done him any justice.
He took a step to stand beside Tiberius's sitting form, his gaze wary on the Phantoms. He didn't trust himself to speak, knowing full well he would bite out a bitter remark. It was best to leave it to the other Alpha. Sköll knew that this wasn't giving him much of an authoritative tone, wasn't showing off his abilities as an Alpha. Yet, this was for the best.
What he could do, however, was use the shadows that lurked around them.
Inhaling sharply, he immediately communicated them. His mind prodded at the auras of the shadows around him, instantly mindlinking the formations to bend to his well. They did so willingly, glad to finally be of some use. Four creatures morphed at his side, two beside Tiberius and two beside Sköll. One took the form of some sort of griffin, another took on the shape of a lion. The other two, who had been with Sköll this whole time, took on the formations of wolves.
They stood there, their wispy forms allowing them to blend in with the darkness of the area they were in. Their forms were almost blurry, almost unfocused. It was almost as if they weren't a part of reality, as if they were distortions of another world.

"Your power is nothing, seemingly the same amount of your respect," one of them spoke with a snort "I will devour your-"
'Enough... bring me the tailed welp...'
The Phantom who spoke grumbled, and jabbed a finger that formed on a murky, dripping hand at Sköll, growling "You will come with us, dog. Your weak friends will be watched over here." Its skin bubbled a little bit in its annoyance. Turning away slowly, the hulking, misshapen figure began to walk off.
"Just go," Tiberius said quietly "Who knows what these idiots have evolved to, and whether they can harm us easily if angered. The frog and I will be fine." He honestly didn't have the strength to get back up anytime soon anyway. He let out a breath, allowing Cami to hop onto his shoulder.
The panda turned away, his eyes narrow still. At least one of them would be able to reach the seal, which was most likely where Sköll was going to be taken. When, most likely, if they were able to leave, they could make a plan, even question that captured Phantom.
"We know why you're here. His Greatness told us," the Phantom, Whitetooth, said "And you shall fail, and your animals will be crushed and killed by the weight of your failure." It laughed, his bone armor rattling softly. Soft, laughing chatter sounded in various directions nearby, as if the others nearby agreed on Sköll's fate. Whitetooth left the grass and bushes parted as it dragged itself through the area. The closer and closer they reached their destination, the more that negative aura increased. So much at one point, that the air began to vibrate.
"You will bow before our ruler before you talk to him," Whitetooth said, once they reached a sort of... archway, that had bars. Thirty feet tall, twenty feet wide. In a massive open clearing. And the bars kept a mass of shadows prisoner. It was so dark, that nothing could've been in there. Everyone knew better though. Whitetooth glared down at Sköll and his shadows, awaiting his response. Slowly, a bunch of Phantoms began to appear, wanting to be close when the prisoner behind the bars spoke. The air was so thick with anger, hate and just pure evil that it was truly hard for one to breathe.
Then, a growl sounded. More like a rumble. Wanting Sköll to do something. The rumble caused the Phantoms too chatter, holler and make other weird noises as they gathered before the giant arch prison.

Sköll swallowed thickly, the air around him was becoming more and more stifling as they drew closer to the cage. He moved as slowly as possible the location, dragging his paws and claws deep in the muddy ground. It was growing harder to breathe and his nostrils flared, jaw snapping and teeth glinting in the light. He wanted desperately to turn around, to haughtily look up at the sky and leave. But he was most certainly outnumbered and would not be able to leave unscathed, to even leave alive.
The rumbling noise caused to him to press his ears flat against his skull, not enjoying the sound one bit. It hurt. Honestly, everything hurt. He was beginning to have a headache from the difficulty breathing, as well as the noises caused by the Phantoms surrounding him and the thing in front of him. The pressure weighed heavily on his mind and he beginning to find it harder and harder to think. However, Tiberius and Cami were back there, waiting for him on some good news. He doubted there was anything good about this ordeal, but there had to be some positivity hidden somewhere.
Sköll clenched his jaw before giving a stiff bow, knowing full well it was in his best interest to behave. His shadows had followed beside him, ever so loyal to the Alpha who had given them the gift of life. They snapped and made warning sounds to the Phantoms who drew a bit too close, not seeming phased by the thing in front of them. They didn't follow their Alpha's motions and bowed, for they were not ordered to by Sköll.
He was glad they were with him, glad that they were there to act as some sort of wall between himself and the Phantoms that surrounded him. Sure, he could protect himself. It was still quite nice to have some sort of support. He had the idea to order two of them to stay behind and make sure Tiberius and Cami were okay. But the panda was an Alpha, a strong one at that. He could handle himself, right?
These were the sort of thoughts that ran through his mind instead of facing the task at hand.

Something seemed to draw close to the portal prison, the air ceasing vibration, now gaining a sort of clenching feeling. A tentacle tried to touch through the portal, a snarl sounding softly when a flash of blue fire burned it. The tentacle drew back, and a voice spoke, soft and a rasp.
"You are irritated..." it decided "I don't sense fear... so you hide it well... stand."
Then, a large eye appeared. It was good with red accents, and black pupil. And the pupil alone dwarfed Sköll's size. Looking down at the Alpha, he growled "I should just have my legions kill you. Whitetooth needs a new war helm. However... I will when I am freed... which will be soon. I will kill your sacred Parents, and Jamaa will belong to me. What say you of your hopes to stop me?"
"They want to fix your prison, Great One!" Whitetooth called, causing Phantoms to jeer and call Sköll names. They ceased when a booming laugh rang out, so sinister and venomous that it could set the air aflame. The prisoner then stopped, continuing "Perhaps... let him come, Whitetooth. I could use the amusement..."
"King, I-"
"BRING HIM TO ME!"
Whitetooth hissed a little, but told the Phantoms to stand aside, one of them snarling at the armored Phantom as he walked toward the King, assuming Sköll was to follow. The giant eye drew back a little, and a gigantic grin of misshapen fangs showed as he called "Come, so I can see you fail, weak pup!" They waited and watched for his advance. The King chuckled darkly and said "You try what you wish, but you'll-" The pupil became a narrow slit, the eye narrowed a bit, looking past Sköll. A large, slender shadow towered over him, in the shape of a bird. When tons of Phantoms leaped forward, they were engulfed in blue fire, burned out of existence, into ashes.
"Mother..." the King growled.
'For now,' a feminine voice spoke only in Sköll's mind 'I can't help much. But take this. You must open his portal, break his prison, and get his skin to touch it.'
Under Sköll's paw appeared a stone the color of his shadow creatures, with electric blue swirls. It gave off a powerful, warm, positive aura that only touched the wolf, clearing him of all the negative effects that the Phantom aura had been placing on him. Then, the shadow over Sköll disappeared.
'Good luck.'

The tension that coiled within Sköll immediately dissipated as soon as Mother appeared and his eyes widened in bright surprise and adoration at her appearance. Her shadowy form instantly soothed the chills that ran along his spine and he felt himself almost falling over with the calming effect she extended over him. He exhaled a sigh of relief as the warm aura she gave off enveloped him in a gentle haze, as if it were a blanket and he was a mere pup.
Despite his comfort, he was still attentive to her words, ears perked up and listening. His paw clenched around the stone when it appeared underneath it and he hummed in pleasure at the energy it sparked within him. It thrummed through his veins, gave him some sort of burst that he didn't know he had within him at that very moment.
His shadows seemed to have calmed down considerably as well, still glancing around cautiously every now and then. Despite the disappearance of the Phantoms gathered around them, his shadows were still wary. Who knows what could happen, anything was possible in this very moment.
Thank you, Mother. He thought, hoping his words reached her as she soon disappeared from his line of sight. Shaking his head, he steadied himself. He had to follow her words, obey her. After all she did for him, he couldn't fail her now. What kind of Alpha would that make him??
With these thoughts in mind, Sköll leapt forwards towards the cage, the stone clenched gently in his mouth. He wanted to keep his paws free to allow him to run at a faster speed. He won't let Mother down. He won't let Tiberius and Cami down. He wouldn't. He couldn't.

"Kill him," the King said simply to the remaining legion, changing his mind. However, not even Whitetooth wanted to get near Sköll, because of the stone he held in his mouth. Eventually, they obeyed though, flocking toward the giant prison. Growling turned to shrieking as seemingly a small portion of Phantoms was absorbed into the prison, ripping them apart into dark energy to strengthen the King. A tentacle smashed against the prison, and it seemed to stretch forward a bit.
A series of loud "boom" noises began in the distance, in the direction where Cami and Tiberius were, like the familiar roar of thunder as it left the panda's staff.
"No one leaves," the giant Phantom growled, pushing against barrier. The minions he absorbed had given him power, and he was using it. It wasn't enough to break the barrier though. The King snarled when he noticed no one was saying, and he snapped "What are you waiting for? Kill him!!" Still, none got near Sköll. Some actually ran off.
"Fine!" He wanted to yell "I'll do it myself." Tentacles beat on the barrier, and it cracked a little bit. Finally, like a late reaction, Phantoms began to advance, to attack the Alpha, with desire to keep Sköll in the area, just in case he tried to leave.
It was getting so bad in the distance, that a group of storm clouds had been summoned, multiple deafening strikes coming down on whatever target Tiberius wished. The King laughed as he continued his effort to break the barrier, but it was simply no use. Roaring in rage, the large eye disappeared from view, the archway becoming filled with black nothingness again. He was thinking of something.
For now, the remaining mass of Phantoms stood between Sköll and archway, but number as much as before, before Mira burned some of them.

Sköll was startled slightly, the loud noises of the commotion going on all around him hurting his sensitive ears. They flattened against his skull and he almost dropped the stone that Mother had given him. However, he did not. He was given a job to do and the only way he would stop was if death overtook him. Other than that, he was ready and raring to go.
His shadows maneuvered and ran alongside him, snapping and snarling at any Phantom that came too close. One of the creatures dared to step in Sköll's field of vision and was immediately overtaken in a wisp of black smoke, the dull silver eyes of his shadow flashing as it drained the Phantom's life force. It returned to Sköll's side after it was finished, satiated. No one should come close to harming its Master, it just won't let that happen.
He leapt over the twitching Phantom, keeping his gaze on the King that was before him. He had full faith on his shadows to take care of any disturbances that crossed his path. And by the sound of the thunder rumbling in the sky, Tiberius was doing the best he could despite being away from the battle. The Alpha thought of a small "Thank you" to the other, knowing full well that the panda wasn't going to hear him.

(Sorry for short post)
Looked like Sköll wasn't going to have to break the portal on his own. A tentacle smashed through, then another. At the barrier breaking, a wave of force so powerful boomed out, that every Phantom in the area was knocked back, some were even killed, motionless on the ground. The golden eye appeared again, and a huge mass of dripping blackness slid out of the arch. Any Phantom within ten feet of it was knocked back. Stretching out a few tentacles, he rumbled "Finally. I'm... free." Looking around, a tentacle lashed out. All life was wiped away where the tentacle landed, and about a mile in front of it.
"And now... to kill you," he spoke. Tilting his head back, a mouth of misshapen fangs appeared, taking in a breath. Then, he exhaled a mighty gust of wind, shaming the force of tornadoes and hurricanes. And, the air seemed to gain a dark gray mist, rotting everything in its wake as it moved toward the wolf Alpha.
"You are nothing, and will perish quickly," he continued "Better earlier, than later and more painfully, as everyone else will." His mouth formed a sinister grin, which looked quite off-putting along with the rest of his dark and writhing body. He reached a tentacle out, and dark energy spread to come over his Phantoms, which began to increase in size and grotesque looks. Then, they left the area to spread their chaos.
