if someone says an ableist comment without realizing it's ableist, then once they google it they correct it because they realized it's wrong, is it still wrong?

Well... if you made a comment and later realized your mistake, it's fine. As long as you say "oh I'm sorry I didn't realize" and edit it, you've done the right thing rather than just leaving it up.

no? this is pretty clear cut imo, if they didn't know better, educated themselves, and are sorry for it than they did nothing wrong
