I can never find this anywhere. But I do see Moonrise everywhere.

In terms of total units sold, Into the Wild, since it sells a few thousand every year. Obviously that's not what you're asking, though.
The answer you want is Outcast, which sold about 170,000 hardcover copies on release. That's where the series peaked in sales, as each book prior was selling progressively more copies, and each book after sold progressively fewer copies. My statistics end with The Last Hope, which just barely sold over 100,000 hardcover units. (However, the rise of e-books occurred around this time, so likely some of the lost hardcover sales were made up for with e-book sales.)
Information about sales is tightly controlled, as the publishing industry hates people knowing how small it really is. The website where I got my information about the sales has been gone for around five years, so you'll have to take my word for it, unfortunately.

Interesting that one of the most boring books in the series has the best sales.

When you look at how Lightflame says sales fall after Outcast, it makes you wonder if the dropping sales are because it was so boring!

Makes you think where did HC and WP got the ‘40 million copies sold’ from? I can’t say I’m surprised that the sales for the books keeps dropping like flies. However, nobody likes to admit that the series wasn’t/currently doing too well.

Sure there might be a few, but this is hard series to understand things if you don't read all if not most of the books and it can almost be too much for people to want to take the time to read all of them. I know the only reason that I am still reading/buying them is because I hate not knowing something if I can help it. Also the books are a quick fun read, but still I wouldn't be really upset if they gave the books a proper ending and left them at that.

Although this could be just domestic sales, maybe they include foreign sales as well. Warriors is translated into a lot of different languages, so I could maybe see 40 million worldwide over all the different books.
