What is your favorite hint in TBC regarding the imposter's identity? (What is your favorite thing, line, or action he said or did hinting at his identity,
My favorite is when he says:
"Its good to see you haven't lost your fire, Squirrelflight. It reminds me of the old days. You used to stand up to me then, too."
It sounded so spooky and eerie!
Although I still wish they the hints they gave were more subtle and not so giving away as this one ^ or esp his behavior in VOS as a e result of Squirelflight's absence

The obvious discrimination against Squirrelflight's kin. He listed and exiled Lionblaze and Jayfeather on account of their birth, tried to kill Sparkpelt, and threatened Flamepaw and Finchpaw. He was also pretty rude and I'd say borderline abusive to Alderheart. I'm surprised we didn't see him target Lionblaze's kits and grandkits.
Gee, I wonder who else wanted to harm Squirrelflight's kin?

The part where Bristlefrost hears them arguing and recognizes a different voice was chilling. I love that scene a lot, very clever.

The part where Bristlefrost hears them arguing and recognizes a different voice was chilling. I love that scene a lot, very clever. But did that part actually give away who the imposter was? To the readers, yes, but to Bristlefrost, no. The way the impostor spoke to Squirrelflight in that scene, and the way he treated her was easily recognizable behavior to many. It shows the impostor knew Squirrelflight personally, just like the way he spoke to her in your original post, which hinted even more to who he was. However, what I personally wasn't expecting, was for Bristlefrost to hear the shift in voice, and see it as some weird new one, that to me was cleverly written. Bristlefrost obviously wouldn't recognize that voice if the impostor really is who we all think it is, but readers will hopefully instantly recognize the indications of the scene.
