What do people think about her? I don't really like her or her sister.

I used to like Ivypool, but after the whole drama with her and the whole Dove×Tiger thing, I can't stand her or Dovewing.

One of my favorite characters of all time. I found her significantly more likable than Dovewing.

I really like Ivypool, she's not in my top ten list, and she annoyed me slightly more than her sister did, but I still found her POV interesting to read.

Keep in mind that I haven't read after Arc 4, but I fell in love with her because she was flawed, she had attitude and said things that weren't fair. But when it came down to the threat of the Dark Forest falling upon the clans? She made the right choice herself and resisted temptations thaat she was initially interested in. I'm in the process of rereading everything so this could rapidly change, but I think I'd place her as my fifth favorite character.

I think she was better than Dovewing, but at the same time, when you think about things in hindsight, Ivypool didn't really do as much as we thought...that's a huge accomplishment to make the readers thinkn she did more when in reality she didn't...it's really weird.
I like her more as a mature mother in TBC. I think both her and Dovewing are a lot better as side characters who are more mature.

Especially considering that Ivypool is meant to honor a friend of the Erin's, I feel like she should have been a side character from the start. It feels a bit :/ that someone meant to honor a friend had such a strong focus in the story as usually you leave that as a sort of nod to them and make the character a side character. Having a character meant to honor someone take on a more central part of your story opens up a strong bias for that character.

I don't think I ever really liked her much, but I've never hated her, either. So neutral, I guess.

I love her, and I liked reading about her time in the Dark Forest. That made OOTS readable.

You'll see some of the books are dedicated to an Ivy Poole and I believe there's even a thing that confirms it more solidly that Ivypool is meant to honor that friend (can't look it up atm rip maybe someone else can help with this). I don't have a problem with that, but given how big of a role she played in the series, it rubbed me the wrong way.

I love her! Though I wish her betrayal of the Dark Forest would have had more of an impact. Mapleshade was questioning her loyalty the whole time like I wish she would have been killed in the Dark Forest and had to stay there permanently even though she wasn't "evil." Kinda feels like she gets off with a slap on the wrist after everything went down. I agree, I really like the idea of her ending up murdered mid-way through her spying and forced into the Dark Forest ranks because dying there means you stay there. Furthermore, she has to fight against her own corruption, since Antpelt's death, dialogue in the Last Hope, and a few scenes in VOS imply that the Dark Forest is kind of an inherently tainting influence. She'd eventually maintain her own morals of course, and purge the corruption from herself during the final battle. Then she stays in the Dark Forest, but now as kind of a guardian spirit making sure no uprising will ever emerge from there again. Basically the Cerberus at the gates of the Underworld. There's a lot of ways the Ivypool permanently stuck in the DF can go.

I knew if you get killed in the Dark Forest you're stuck there, but the corruption aspect of it would make OOTS soo much better. I Fully agree to that I think having her as a sort of Guardian would be super cool and conclude her arc in a sad but nice way!
