Yesterday I saw a theory that Spiresight is actually the mastermind behind everything in The Broken Code. The theory says that he wants to show the Clans that the code is not perfect, and that he is bitter because of Dovewing and Tigerheart, who sort of caused his death and wants to punish them. He manipulated Shadowsight so he can get what he want. And he actually said that he didn't join StarClan just so he could watch over Shadowsight. Ashfur just followed Spiresight's orders in punishing the codebreakers, and took the job because he has the chance of winning Squirrelflight over. Do you believe in this theory? I don't know. Spiresight seemed really innocent in Tigerheart's Shadow, but it could very well be true...

I just don’t see how a cat like Spiresight would manipulate the son of a cat he befriended. He freaked out when Shadowsight was murdered so it doesn’t make sense.

This theory makes zero sense. Spiresight got a brief POV where we see he's genuinely disturbed by what Ashfur did. He's not evil

Clearly someone else is involved and Spiresight might be under the Imposter's will, but he's definitely not evil. He was already shown to be worried for Shadowsight in the prologue, so it wouldn't make any sense for him to be the one behind all of this.

Yes, I agree. I really like Spiresight, I don't think he's evil. I just posted this because I saw Bright Guardian Akira talk about this theory yesterday. Honestly, I really like Akira, but he tends to overthink things a lot. Like his Bumblestripe and Graystripe rants.

If they actually do this, I'm going to be pissed.

I just finished reading Tigerheart's Shadow, and when Tigerheart died and went to StarClan, Spiresight was in StarClan, and he didn't seem upset or anything about getting his name changed, or being added to StarClan's ranks, he even thanked Tigerheart. I saw the video, and I thought it'd be pretty interesting, but it doesn't really make sense.

Well I think he just acts like this to make Tigerstar think that he's actually the good guy and does not show his true colors. Also, have you read Veil of Shadows? He is a ghost resident and explains WHY he did not want to go to Starclan. Also, think about what he does with Shadowsight while he is a ghost. He tells him that he cannot be away from his body for too long or he will never be able to go back. He just does not want Shadowsight to know too much because he knows that he is a ghost and that he can go anywhere he wants. Also, think back to Squirrelfight's Hope where Squirrelflight was in between life and death. She could travel as far away from her body as possible and she came back to it in the end. This is obvious proof that Spiresight does not want Shadowsight to know too much. He makes shadowsight think that he can trust him by telling him that he has been watching over him ever since he was born.
