Which set of protagonists do you like more? I like both a lot but Root, Bristle, and Shadow get the edge for me.

Absolutely the TBC gang. Alderheart is cool and all but Violetshine is underwhelming and Twigbranch is severely lacking in the personality department. On the other hand, Shadowsight and Rootspring are relatively exciting and I liked Bristlefrost in TBC.

Rootspring, Bristlefrost, and Shadowsight def.
Alderheart was alright, though he kind of got overshadowed, Violetshine got tiring to read about, Twigbranch was pretty cool. I got pretty tired of their sister drama though, we just had that in Omen of the Stars, and then it happened again in AVOS.

Def TBC. I'm pretty eh about Bristlefrost, but Shadowsight and Rootspring are interesting.
I like Alderheart and Twigbranch, but don't love Violetshine. AVoS also was rough for me just because I hate Needletail who was a massive "protagonist" in the first part

Some people might like Violetshine, Twigbranch, and Alderheart better. Not EVERYONE has the same opinions.

Most definitely the TBC trio! They're all really likable and add to the plot in their own ways.
When it comes to AVoS, Alderheart didn't really do much past the first or second books (still love him, though), Twigbranch was annoying to me until TRS, and the only one I thought was worth my attention was Violetshine.

I think Rootspring might be my favorite character in the whole series now. I love him.
Shadowsight and Bristlefrost are pretty high up on my favorites list too. I really enjoy them and really make me love this arc even more. The AVoS protags were okay but I didn’t find Alderheart very interesting as a POV character.

I think that the TBC trio would win for me against every single group of protagonists, except maybe Firestar because nostalgia could speak louder. Yes they are that good.

TBC protags. I'm not a fan of Bristlefrost and Shadowsight may be boring, but at least they're nowhere near as insufferable as Twigbranch was, or as non-existent as Alderheart

TBC for me. I like that all the POVs feel like they belong in the story and they seem to choose the right POV for each chapter. That being said, the arc is not over yet and I do like the AVoS protags as well.

The TBC trio. I love Bristlefrost, Shadowsight is okay, but not so much Rootspring. They're still fine. Their POVs were necessary.
I would have liked the AVOS trio more if there hadn't been the sister drama like we had in OOTS. I did love Alderheart and Twigbranch, though. And Sparkpelt; she reminded me of Squirrelflight.

I prefer the TBC trio, though I do like the AVOS trio as well. The latter was okay but Alderheart really didn't need to be a POV after TAQ, and the only time he has more interesting chapters is in TRS with Puddleshine and the deathberries. Rootspring, Bristlefrost, and Shadowsight actually feel like they're necessary to the plot.

TBC by a mile. They're all great, where as I only liked 2/3 of the AVoS protagonists.
