This has a bunch of VoS spoilers, as a warning Am I the only one who feels like Ashfur might be one of the most dangerous villains yet?
Like, all of the others were evil and terrible, but Ashfur is COMPLETELY unhinged. The others had plans to foil, but I don't feel like Ashfur has any plans at this point, and if he did, they're rapidly dissolving as he loses his mind.
He's honestly kind of terrifying because his only focus in life and death is making Squirrelflight miserable over the SMALLEST thing.

I agree, he's definitely one of the most dangerous ones, and as of right now he has a good kill count under his belt. The fact that he apparently killed three younger warriors that tried to assassinate him his crazy tbh. I kind of want to read that scene. His only real downfall it would seem is his obsession with Squirrelflight. He's definitely not in the right mind either, when doing all of this, it's fascinating to read about, reminds me of Mapleshade in a way. I'm actually excited to see all the content that will be created because of this book. And I wonder if Ashfur will be desperate enough to try and take Bramblestar down with him in the end as one last spiteful act against the clans.
Also, I'm curious if he's working with someone....who was he talking to in the den....who trapped Bramblestar in the Dark Forest. Who is helping him? What is going to happen to Bramblefake the rest of the series...??

My biggest hope is that Squirrelflight will kill him for the final time. He's too prone to losing it to just be sent to the DF at this point

It took me off guard when the imposter revealed he could see other spirits, or at least the ones he's responsible for. It makes me wonder what he was thinking when Rootpaw showed up to his camp with Bramblestar's ghost. He also implied he could control spirits to his will, I wonder what he did to Spiresight. It makes him all the more scary as a villain.

Speaking of the dark forest, how are those remaining Dark Forest cats like Maphleshade, Darkstripe, Thistleclaw, etc doing? Are they just chilling after their defeat in Omen of the Stars?

DF was shown, but cats in the DF weren't shown. Ashfur was talking to someone (maybe) in his den, but it's unknown if it's Ashfur losing it and talking to himself or if there's another spirit he's talking to (he can see spirits because he is one).

I don't remember that scene where The Impostor was talking to someone. Whose POV was it in? If it was in Bristlefrost's, could she have been seen when he was talking to Shadowsight's spirit?

I can't remember but I believe he was seen rambling off a few times? There's also the question of how he got Bramblestar into the DF? He would have had to separate himself from Bramble's body and somehow trick him there if it was him alone

Wasn't Leafpool able to do that? Omg, Leafpool is the IMPOSTOR.
I'm joking, I have no doubts that it's Ashfur now. Which makes me a little disappointed, since I was wrong, but eh.

We don't know he actually killed the 3 warriors; I mean he took part in their death, and maybe directly killed one or two or even all of them, but we can't know for sure
