That Tree was allowed to join SkyClan, and they made a whole new position just for him, but they didn't do the same for Sol.
Like, I love Tree, he's a great character, but he was just as lazy as Sol, however, unlike Sol, he wasn't even willing to try.
At least Sol tried learning hunting/warrior moves.
I'm also aware that some of SkyClan weren't that welcoming to Tree, but they weren't nearly as unwelcoming as they were to Sol, like...from the get-go, they were saying that he doesn't belong there, that he's too smart (which...why is that a bad thing?) and just that he'd never make it as a clan cat.
I know that Sol ended up kidnapping Leafstar's kits, so he can act like he saved them, and play the hero, but even before that, when he was TRYING to learn, and just doing the best he could...they still didn't give him a chance.
But oh, here's Tree....let's make a whole new clan position for him.
I know that a lot of people hate Sol, so pretty much everyone will disagree with me, but yeah.

Leafstar created a new position for Tree because he'd actually proved his worth by doing something, which was settling disputes. Before that, he actually tried doing other things and even tried to help the medicine cats before deciding it wasn't for him.
Sol on the other hand was just impatient, thinking he was owed something he had yet to earn. Your own profile picture of him stomping his foot and complaining is a perfect example of this. And even before he'd kidnapped the kits, he still put the Clan in danger by thinking it was a good idea to steal from foxes. He'd also interrupted Leafstar at a Gathering and insisted on being made a warrior after one training session with her and would mope when things didn't go his way. According to Billystorm, he was also lazy and had no natural talent.

Sol would've made a pretty good warrior. But he didn't do anything too special that would make ShadowClan set aside a whole new rank. Yes, he predicted an eclipse. But what use would it be to make a whole position? On the other hand, Tree's traits are unique and useful. He's not a fighter, and has a whole new technique for hunting. Even though he won't learn the warrior way, he's still hunting. Tree's calming sense should make a big impact on SkyClan. Really, I can't see Sol as a special position. Maybe he would fit for "Eclipse identifier." Tree never wanted to fight, he wouldn't ever be a warrior. But Sol was willingly learning to fight and hunt. Smarts could work in ShadowClan. Sol is just not fit for a special rank imo. Tree has a good reason to. He was in a big life-changing prophecy.

๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ท๐พ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ตThat's true, he was impatient, bratty, and reckless...I guess I just feel sorry for him UnsightlyHeretic831Those are really good points. Imagine if he did go to ShadowClan first, and they accepted him, I wonder how things would have changed? I mean, ShadowClan is ALWAYS willing to take in members outside the clans.

I think Mothflight states it best. Sol was impatient. And lazy. And manipulative. He got rightfully kicked out of the clans, and really didn't deserve a special spot
While Tree isn't my FAVORITE character, he clearly has special traits he can contribute to his clan. Including his ability to see ghosts.

Oh yeah, I forgot he could see ghosts lol Which is really dumb, since it's like a HUGE plot point lately I think my biggest issue with the Sol thing, was that even before he proved himself to be all the things you said, he doesn't even get a fair shot.

That's true, I mean, Rootpaw gets bullied by those dumb bullies just because he's Tree's son, and Wrenpaw is afraid of Tree. I wish the clan cats could be more open and understanding to ALL cats not like them. But I guess it can't be helped, because that's how they've been raised for generations.

True, but that was mostly his own fault. Leafstar made a lot of efforts to work with him and seemed pretty willing to keep working with him until he was ready to be a warrior - it was Sol who got angry that she didnโt make him a warrior after one training session, and then got so impatient that he kidnapped her kits to try and prove himself. The rest of the Clan may have been skeptical of him (though their issues with his cleverness were less to do with him just being smart and more that he was using his cleverness to weasel his way out of work), but Leafstar was in his corner basically up until he stole her kits.

Not to mention Tree still does other clan duties, he still hunts, he still goes on patrols, he's still earned his place in SkyClan. Sol did not, and never will because he took things too far. Not only was he trying to paint himself as some sort of hero, he did it by literally stealing Leafstar's kits, putting them in danger, and lying to every cat. He didn't deserve to be a warrior, or any place in SkyClan after that.
