First Up...the flower suffix
So, you know how the flower suffix is said to be for the most motherly of cats? Well, I noticed something, that suffix is kind of cursed when it comes to mothers.
Moonflower was killed soon after her kits became apprentices, meaning, she never had the chance to see them become warriors, at least not on earth.
Morningflower's son was killed by stupid Tigerclaw soon after becoming an apprentice, which meant, that she never had the chance to see him become a warrior.
Rainflower is...Rainflower, notorious for being one of the worst mothers in the series.
(Are there any other cats with the suffix flower?)
2. No one with the Larch prefix has made it past kit-hood
3. Adder - there are only three listings for the Adder prefix - Adderkit, Adderpaw, and Adderfang; they are all different cats.
4. Finch - similar to the Adder prefix, but there are four listings for this one - Finchkit, Finchpaw, Finchflight, and Finchstar, again, they are all different cats.
5. There are six cats with the Bright prefix, none of them are toms
6. On the other side, there are six cats with the Mud prefix, none of them are she-cats
I'm tired, so I'm going to end this thread here, have you noticed anything interesting about prefixes and suffixes?

Thanks Omg, I can't believe I forgot about Goldenflower.. I guess she kind of had bad luck as well, since Tawnypelt left, and Brightflower's second litter was killed, and her daughter from her first litter was accused of it.

Greenflower lost her kits as mentioned in Forest of Secrets when she takes in Stormkit and Featherkit. For some reason fostering Stormkit and Featherkit became Mosspelt's responsibility though, I guess Greenflower was just forgotten.
Even worse, maybe she died so she never really had the chance to raise her new kits . The German wiki says she died from Greencough and that's why Stormkit and Featherkit became Mosspelt's fosters, though that's no longer considered canon.

That's all really sad...flower suffixes really do seem cursed

Also, why are all the flower cats from the first series and prequels? No one names anyone flower anymore even though they used to be everywhere!
If it's supposed to be a name that fell out of favor, that's actually remarkably consistent - normally the prequels adopt names and general culture/style from the later series, making it clear it's just the author changing things rather than an intentional cultural change. But they are actually consistent about flower names being more popular earlier in the timeline and not just earlier in publication order.
