Fan: Why cant leaders have 10 lives? :”'(””’ Kate: Oh lordy. Leafstar and Mistystar would NEVER die! I don't know why, but that just made me laugh. Anyways, no to Lionblaze!

This comment is weird, since I swear she's said before she wants Ivystar.

I could imagine lionblaze as leader BECAUSE he has become boring xD it's kinda part of the responsibility in giving themselves up for the clan

If not Ivypool, why not Rosepetal? Give another line some love. She's had a ton of mentoring experience and is level-headed.

I kind of want Stormcloud, so all the other clans start crying about how ThunderClan has yet another ex-kittypet as leader lol

Please, no Lionblaze! Let him rest in peace.
I kind of don't want Ivystar, either, as much as I like Ivypool. Maybe a background character can be leader.

I wonder why she says Ivypool is not ready. She's taken on more leadership roles than Lionblaze has at this point.
The ONLY thing that qualifies Lionblaze as leader material is that he's a former protagonist. That's it. If he hadn't been a protagonist he would have about as much potential as Mousewhisker or like, Dustpelt if he was still alive. His only function right now is to pump out kits with Cinderheart on occasion (not a very good function since all it does is add more characters to fill up the allegiance page but neglect to give any semblance of a personality to)
if Lionblaze becomes leader i swear to god I might just kermit

And people wonder why I value Cherith over Kate and Vick's opinions ugh. The majority of fans want Ivystar at this point. I'm tired of the "hot-headed" category being considered. I don't think Berrynose, Lionblaze or Rosepetal are suited for leadership tbh.

I'm not sure why people keep saying Rosepetal? All she did was get a bunch of apprentices, she's basically Cloudtail. I don't think that makes her leadership material, not to mention she's too hot-headed for my taste. I can understand Lilyheart to a degree but as much as I don't mind her she hasn't had much spotlight since BrS and being Violet/Twig's surrogate mother. Stemleaf...I don't know either. He seems bland, and the only real involvment he has right now is being part of the rebel group, he's not really sticking out. I feel like people only think he's more mature than Bristlefrost just because he rejected her, and because she was being used by FakeBramble, which really doesn't show him being mature imo.

I personally don't understand the Rosepetal hype either. Like yeah, she's mentored a lot of cats, so what? Lilyheart is a nice cat, but that can be a dangerous characteristic in the leader position, especially during times of strife like this. You should be willing to lead your Clan to war if it's the best option for the Clan. Steamleaf....literally don't see the appeal. Okay chararacter, but I don't think he'd be a good leader. He's been around for only two books, so... So I agree with this post.

Rosepetal is just like any other background character. Just because she mentored half of TC doesn't mean that she would make a great leader. She's unmemorable and bland, and shows no leadership qualities that differentiate her from far better choices.
Lilyheart is sweet I guess, but she's pretty irrelevant now, and kindness might look like vunerability to other clans.
Bristlestar would be alright, she's got a lot more going for her, despite being younger. She's reasonable and matured, and loyal if not a little naive. Tbh, I don't care how predictable it is, the entire arc is really helping develop her character, and besides, if BristleRoot really has to happen, with Bristlefrost leader or a likely candidate for leader, the forbidden romance trope would be a lot more conflicted and interesting.

My issue with Bristlefrost is that I don't really see her as a leader type. She seems quick to do things that will get her recognized by others, even if they're questionable at best and I don't see her as particularly mature. On top of that, she's very naive. She's probably one of the blander of the three main protagonists to me. She's not a bad character, but I think she's far off from being leadership material

But leaders aren't perfect. Bristlefrost now has deputy experience, and she's obviously not ready. However, this doesn't completely rule her out either, just because she's not ready now, doesn't mean she won't be ready later. Bramblefake chose her because he knew he could manipulate her for her blind loyalty and eagerness, she has the passion and motivation to climb ranks. However, she's realized this is not what a warrior should be like, this is not the right thing morally, and by the end of the books she understands that and wants to make things right. If anything she IS being set up for an actual deputy position if she gets a major role among the rebellion which will most likely be the case for her role. I think by the end of the arc she has a good chance of being deputy, but if this is the case, the bigger question is who will be leader. I wonder if either Bramble or Squirrel will get that spot, or if they'll both retire and a different cat takes the leader spot instead.

I want a background character tbh. There is no need for another main character to take over leadership. But if i has to be Ivypool would make a great leader imo. Plus we need another female to lead ThunderClan.

I think Lionblaze is the most likely choice, and one of the best.
But it’s disheartening to see that there hasn’t been a single POV character in these last two arcs (counting TBC) who is made for the job. Would be kind of odd, and jarring, to have the next deputy be a character we haven’t focused on for /so long/ when the Editors have had all the time in the world to develop a more “relevant” one
That being said, I guess I’m putting my foot in my mouth a bit since TBC is only a third of the way through (it’s nearly midnight, I’m tired :-P ) ... consider my response above how I feel if they /don’t/ ever groom Bristlefrost for the deputy position, because they absolutely should. I want another arc with the POV getting a leadership position by the end, like Firestar. Or heck, Brambleclaw. Move things along. Give my babies power.

Neither Ivypool OR Lionblaze should be leaders tbh. Lionblaze is frickfracking boring and even before when he was a PoV he didn't have leadership potential, so why would he now? And making Ivypool leader would just be giving the stans of her what they want because people have been screaming for Ivystar since forever it's tiresome. (Plus she has a mate now, and the only Leader that went "screw it" to the rule on that for mollies was Leafstar (Skyclan's always been a "special case" clan) and that didn't last long unfortunately and I doubt it'll pass on into Thunderclan to do the same. So FernIvy would likely have to be dropped or for her to pull a Leafstar for her to even do it because the double standards are stupid but it's unfortunately something we have to deal with)
I rather Stemstar, at least he's becoming an active character and is DOING SOMETHING.

While I think Lionblaze wouldn't be a bad leader, he'd be...sort of boring, as much as I like him. I also don't think we'll get Ivystar, seeing how she's over six years old now and the direction TBC is going. I would, however, love to see Bristlefrost become leader.

Ivypool would make a good leader imo. Lionblaze and Bristlefrost however? No. Lionblaze seems a bit too hotheaded, and Bristlefrost is a bit naive and also a bit gullible. Rosepetal would be nice if I knew what she was like. I don't really have an input, because although the leader is a very important role, I'm not too worried about it, since I'm pretty sure they know who is best for the role.
