Maybe other I hate to say this, but I'm beginning to think that the impostor might be Ashfur, but I don't think he's running the show. I hope the other shows everyone else who may be involved

The reveal of the impostor.
I'm just hoping it's not Ashfur, because I'm tired of him. I couldn't care less that he's in StarClan at this point.

I dont care if its Ashfur as long as it's not only Ashfur. I would be very disappointed if this is all just him working alone.

Am I the only one who is truly excited AND happy that it is Ashfur, even of he's working alone? His character arc was left too short when he died and was accepted in StarClan and the few explanations the books have given to us about it (he loved too much, he apologized) felt stupid and empty.
I'm really glad he's got a conclusion that it's not the typical "but he apologized he's good now", forgetting how cruel, cunning and sadic he can be.

Ashfur - my 3rd fav Warriors character. Automatically this is my favorite arc. His return, especially as a villain, is a dream come true

I hope the other shows everyone else who may be involved I don't feel like Ashfur can be solely responsible. The only time he's ever done something planned was with Hawkfrost. The fire scene was spur of the moment.

He's never planned anything himself, and like you said, the fire scene was spur of the moment

I don't get why people are more excited for the imposter reveal than the battle. I mean, I am super excited for the reveal, but its kinda obvious its Ashfur, so its really only a confirmation, not a reveal, at least for me. The battle, on the other hand: we have been waiting forever for a mass death to occur in the Clans, which is finally happening, shouldnt the excitement be mainly shifted there? Like who will die? bc we already know what'll probably happen: thunderclan looses one (1) cat, shadowclan is a massacre, the other three loose a handful.

The other Clans' and maybe even TC's young generation will be like wtf who is Ashfur, the older cats will be like, "Wait I thought this guy was a good, noble, strong cat, why would he do this" and they'll be like, "Its TC's problem not ours"
Tigerstar will become Ashfur's greatest enemy
But I think we'll see their rx in DW, cuz Squirrelflight will still have to tell them

I don't want him to be working alone because I feel it would be a cop-out to set up this arc's themes of questioning the code and how the code can go too far only to reveal that the only cat doing this was just faking his code beliefs to get revenge on a cat who dumped him. I would much rather there be collaborators who are genuine extremists when it comes to the code, so the arc is forced to seriously question the code rather than be like "no, the problem is just with this one cat, we can wrap this up neatly and never talk about it again".

I'm more excited about the battle than the reveal. I'm ready to read about some fur flying if you know what I mean.

I wouldn't mind it being Ashfur, if some of the people who hardcore theorize it's him, weren't so arrogant about it. It would be cool to know why exactly StarClan accepted him, rather than Yellowfang's dumb excuse.

Imposter reveal!
There is no way only Ashfur is behind this, whatever that's going on sounds definitely too cunning and manipulative to be him. He may have tried to inflict some damage on ThunderClan, but he was never this smart about it.

While true, has there ever been a time where the series has been remarkably consistent with characterization? *cough cough* Squirrelflight's Hope
