'she believed had betrayed her'
I mean ravenwing knowingly put kits in danger and did nothing
thats a betrayal I would say of someone who is meant to save lives

The thing about the torn loyalties argument is that it held a lot more water back in TPB then it does now. Back then, when RiverClan and ThunderClan were at war, Graystripe seeing Silverstream was far more dangerous as they could potentially put themselves in danger or accidentally leak secrets about their clans. Nowadays, the clans are more or less allies, so torn loyalties matter a lot less. It's less clan vs. clan than it is clan vs. outside threat. They have an occasional conflict, but those usually last only one book. The fact that all the examples save for one are in TPB or before is telling of that. And in the example after TPB, Lionpaw's training neglect could be avoided if he wasn't forbidden to see Heatherpaw.
In a more meta sense, I would prefer if forbidden relationships were allowed and that the clans fight each other less. The forbidden relationship plot has worn itself thin by now and most of the modern fights between the clans happen because one leader (usually Tigerheartstar) is handed the idiot ball. Since all five leaders have been shown to be friendly in the perspectives of thier own clans, it often feels forced when they fight. For that reason, I would rather the clans deal with outside threats, as it is far less hard to bring in a new villain to deal with, so the conflicts feel less contrived.

I just wish the authors were better at writing inter-Clan conflicts that didn't revolve around "one leader is suddenly a jerk/is outright evil and no one else did anything wrong". Certainly in the real world there are plenty of conflicts between countries or smaller-scale groups that stem from more complicated causes and don't just go away if one leader decides to act sensibly, I wish Warriors was more like that.
