Characters: Sun Shadow, Jayfeather, Mothwing, Berrynose, and Dovewing.
Books: Path of Stars, The Silent Thaw, Hawkwing's Journey, and The First Battle.
Arcs: TPB, AVOS, TBC
Sun Shadow: My baby! He was so sweet and kind and caring and even though he lost his father and had a bad stepfather he still turned out so kind. I love him with all my heart.
Jayfeather: Another one of my babies! His sarcasm resonates with me, and I like how they explored his blindness and how he felt that no one took him seriously for it. What I don't like is how they forced him to be a medicine cat. His caring side comes out at times and I really love his dynamic with Alderheart. He does become a bit mean at times in TBC, and is a bit of a jerk, but it's not too ooc. Also his interaction with his siblings are A+
Mothwing: I love how she doesn't blindly follow StarClan's will but is still a good medicine cat in the healing aspect of things! Even though she's seen them and knows they exist she still doesn't take their word as The Ultimate Word of God, and I love that about her. She's so friendly and upfront and defends herself, and I liked her relationship with Leafpool.
Berrynose: Ewww Berrynose. He was fine as a kit and an apprentice but once he became a warrior he was arrogant, a jerk, and not very fun to read about. He seems so full of himself. He is loyal, I'll give him that, but he is just not a good cat.
Dovewing: Hoo boy, do I have stuff to say. At first I thought she was fine, but that TigerDove was stupid. Her whole rivalry with Ivypool was also kinda stupid, but at least it cleared out. One thing I cannot fathom is how she is so indecisive. Choose one, girl. This could be because of my general distaste for love triangles, but my God, her indecisiveness was unbearable.
Path of Stars: Villain was okay, plot was okay, but the dialogue and stuff was awesome. It presented us with a bittersweet ending which was incredibly sad. Definitely better than The Last Hope.
The Silent Thaw: Ooh, this has got to be one of my favorite second books. The suspense, the risks that are adding up. The cliffhanger at the end made me angry, but it was good. As more and more cats discover the truth I cannot wait to find out what happens. I don't want to spoil it but it is so good.
Hawkwing's Journey: Another favorite! From grieving apprentice Hawkpaw to tired but mature Hawkwing, his development was incredible. I'm sad that he never made up with his father, but sometimes that's how it goes. How he blames himself, how he lashes out, how he learns to control himself, how he and Pebbleshine eventually love each other. And SkyClan's growth and journey was incredible too. It was just amazing.
The First Battle: Oh God, what a good book. It was definitely a battle written correctly, with fatality and high stakes and how war impacts others. The reasons for battle, the flaring tempers that spiral out of control. It also gave us the best line in all of Warriors.
