A Clan's future lies in a promise from the past. Graystripe served ThunderClan for many moons before retiring to the elders' den, and was Firestar's most trusted friend and deputy. He promised Firestar that he would never abandon his home. But as new tensions strain ThunderClan, Graystripe will need to call on all of his long history, leaving ThunderClan behind in hopes of finding an answer that might save it [\spoiler]

Wow, this sounds really exciting! I'm a little disappointed that it won't take place back in the old forest, but this is really cool too

Look, if Graystripe's going on a journey, then he damn well better be dropping by the Tribe and seeing his son while he's at it.

Reading the blurb, I'm actually interested in the book now, and this coming from someone who doesn't really like journey books. I also don't really mind the cover.

That's such a beautiful cover. I wonder why he has to leave ThunderClan, though? Where does he go? The Tribe? Either way, I'm sure he'll be dead by the end of this, since it does indeed take place during modern day. Farewell, Graystripe. This will hit right in the feels, I'm sure.

I really like the cover. It looks nice. The blurb sounds interesting. Sounds like he is going to the old territories. I hope he visits Stormfur on the way.

Maybe he tries to collect groups of cats they all knew in order to help defeat Bramblefake? Or at the very least to see if they’ve had a similar issue at any point? After all, we don’t know if the Tribe is iced out from the tribe of endless hunting—maybe starclan can communicate to graystripe there and give him the MO on what’s going on?

you know, the cover actually doesn't look that bad? I wonder what the under-bookcover artwork will look like!

It would be cool if he went back to the Moonstone to try to contact them.

Ooh, can't wait! Graystripe clearly survives the third book, though I seriously doubt he would've been in that battle mentioned in the DW blurb, being an elder and all. I'm guessing that scene with Cinderpelt mentioned in that article on the website will be the prologue. Not sure when the manga will take place.

Cover looks really nice even though Greystripe’s design has changed constantly over the years.

That cat doesn't look anything like Graystripe except for the eyes.
I think this might be an interesting book after all. I'm curious as to where he will go for this answer.

He looks more like Hawkwing redone or Darkstripe than Greystripe tbh... literally the only thing separating it is his eyes being more yellow. :///

The cover isn't bad, but it's bad for this book. It looks nothing like Graystripe! I would've thought I was looking at Darkstripe, or maybe even Stormcloud, if I didn't know better.

Tbh I don't mind the cover, but I think it still can be done better. Ngl he looks less grey than I was expecting. Put my opinion on the blurb in a spoiler because it's kind of long tbh As for the blurb...honestly, I still don't really care for the book and still think it's unnecessary to give Graystripe an SE, especially during TBC. I'm probably the minority, but the blurb hasn't particularly changed my initial stance on the book. Might not even bother reading it, I know I didn't bother to read SqH. It being a journey book makes it more likely for me to skip it altogether, as from what I've seen from recent journey books is that it usually is glossed over or the few noteworthy events are explained to the readers in the main series. I'll probably just read over the spoilers like I did with the last SE, regardless. TL;DR, I still don't really care for this book and think that it is kind of unnecessary still.

I'm more or less in the same boat. I rarely like journey books when it comes to this series, but if it's going into Graystripe's past, then I'm hoping it actually acknowledges his flaws, such as his recklessness when it came to meeting Silverstream. I'm not expecting him to be punished for it or anything (although he probably might by "Bramblestar"), but even just a simple "I could've done things a bit differently" would be nice. That's literally all I want from this SE.
That being said, this story better be worth it for Graystripe to get his own SE instead of a novella.

Yay, that sounds great. Much better than that boring blurb from the old Forest version.
Did this come from the catalogue? Does it. Have the cover for Bravelands Oathkeeper.

Ah yes, my revolutionary rebel elder Graystripe. I'm so relieved this is taking place in TBC, cause there's still the possibility of this old man throwing down with Fakestar.

Ah yes, my revolutionary rebel elder Graystripe. I'm so relieved this is taking place in TBC, cause there's still the possibility of this old man throwing down with Fakestar. I want a full on elder revolution. There is no more perfect way for Cloudtail to go out then taking on a guy who uses the Warrior Code and StarClan to bully others. Hell, he got made a warrior because he didn't care what StarClan thought. Let's go full circle on this.
