AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Full on spoilers probably.
Of really anything up to and including Episode 2 (subject to be updated as more episodes come out).
But for the time being you still here?
Yes?
Haven't watched it yet? Come back when you do.
Alright. Still here.
AHHHHHHHHH
Also Ada Lovelace because I love her and she is amazing. I am a big history nerd and she made my day.
Also The Master. WHAT THE HECKKKKKKKKKKKK.
Anyone else? I need screaming and speculation buddies.
More than I have in real life and over Discord anyway. It isn't enough.

Oh my goodness yesss! I loved the Master so much. I rewatched the episodes three times and Dhawan’s performance was amazing. I hope he comes back soon.
And Ada and Noor were amazing! The actress who played Ada reminds me a lot of April from Class.

Indeed! The performance was really good! Which makes me very curious to see more of him. What do you think about what regeneration he is? I'm fairly confident he is after Missy, though it is possible that he was before Simm. Ada and Noor was nice. I would love to see them again. I think they could have more to say. I don't just say that because I have had a mild research project on Ada in the past.

Me too! I really hope we get more episodes with him soon. I doubt it, he'll probably show up next season at the earliest, but I'm really hoping.
I have no idea! I think he might be between Simm and Gomez, but honestly I have no idea. I love not knowing though! It will be interesting to find out.
I would love to see more of them too. I'm annoyed the Doctor erased their memories, it would've been nice for them to be able to keep the memories. Doubt either one could have done much with them anyhow, other than know there was something to look forward to or work towards.

I have no idea what to expect, but I am here for it regardless. Next week. I'm looking forward to it. o.o
I have no idea. I love not knowing either. The suspense is so fun!
It's very interesting! They did a lot of things in two episodes that were from Classic Who and that was very interesting. Also the memory wipe hasn't been done in a while. It's funky to think that this Doctor does it so easily. I wonder if that will ever turn up to bite her. I feel like it could potentially. Like if a character did turn up again.
Also wow. The mind reading apparently has only ever been done in the comics (between The Master and The Doctor) according to my friend.

Almost there! Just a little longer! Sunday can't come soon enough.
Goodness if one of those characters shows up again, I will be so happy. I would like to see the Doctor interact with someone who has been mind-wiped, that dynamic would be interesting. Honestly though there are a lot of characters I want to see show up (mainly thinking of Psi and Saibra from Time Heist. I just loved that duo so much. xD
I have not read any of the comics (except for the one where 11 shows up in an alternate universe where Doctor Who is a TV show and not real life), so I wouldn't know. It's cool to see that they're bringing in the comicverse though! Merging the TV series with the audio stories and comics would be interesting. The line between what's canon and not always gets blurry there. Same with the TV spinoffs, I suppose.

Oh yeah! That would be really cool. Honestly, there's always so much potential. It's fun little Time Lord lore and it's very cool. Hey Sparkly! New episode is out and now I need to go watch it. Excite.

It's been a while but... what did you think of the last few episodes? I was meh with Orphan 55 (just the twist was kinda obvious and all), but I liked the Tesla episode a lot. What about you two?

I recently finished Orphan 55 and I have to agree with you. Also, it felt badly wrapped up. I felt like it could have been better executed for why a certain character was supposedly alive and talking for so long only for a what's her name to shoot him "oh yeah he asked me too". I never really felt satisfied with the answers they gave. Also ye. That 'twist' was a bit obvious. A bit too much 'tell' instead of 'show'. I haven't watched the Tesla episode yet! That's tomorrows project! I was gonna watch it tonight, but I remembered I hadn't watched Resolution yet and I figured it was about time I did.

Yeah, totally agree. The message was fine, but the delivery was not. And I agree with your part about that character... there was so much left unanswered there, but it didn't feel purposeful. More like a mistake or "whoops, we don't have enough time, gotta cut something."
Way too much tell in my opinion xD
I hope you like it! I really like historical episodes. It was funny hearing the bad American accents, but the story itself was nice and much better than Orphan 55 in my opinion.

Agreed, agreed! It was so sad, because I thought there was going to be a twist of some sort with that, but it just seemed to be brushed under the carpet. Also, what's her name just turned up again out of nowhere and there wasn't much explanation for that either. I felt like they could have used a two parter here. I feel like the plot could have been larger and then maybe the message wouldn't just feel shoved in there and they'd have time to work in all the other stuff that I could almost feel they were trying to.
I return! And I have watched it! Honestly, I loved this episode! It was very fun. I knew a fair bit I think of Nikola Tesla before, so watching all the companions trying to work out what he did only for the answer to be 'uhhhh ... nothing that you really see ...' I also loved that bit near the end ... when The Doc got asked how many planets she'd watched burn and her face was just so expressive. She didn't even need to say anything, it was just in her eyes.

Yeah... so much of the conflict felt forced. Just like the writers needed to get the characters out of the dome, so they made the Doctor make stupid decisions that she would not have otherwise down. It just felt like the characters became stupid for the sake of the plot, and I hate seeing that. Hopefully it's just the season's bad episode, but I don't know. Looking forward to the next one though! I love the Judoon.
I was kinda surprised that they didn't know much about Tesla. I can understand not knowing a *ton* about him, but I felt like the basics were well-known. I guess not? I don't know, but I still enjoyed it a lot. And I totally agree, that moment was just so potent! I really felt it. The acting was great, bad accents aside, and I enjoyed the tension and how they carried the narrative. The introduction of the Doctor into the drama was really nice, I liked how we followed Tesla in the beginning and not the TARDIS gang. I love them, but the change was fresh and engaging.
also I'm realizing that the way I'm typing here is so similar to how I talk... like I write "kinda" instead of "kind of" and I say "really" and "like" a million times xD

My sister knows 0% about Tesla. I doubt she even knows his name. Oh yes! I completely agree about following Tesla to begin with!
Join the club. I do that all the time.
Now. As for this episode.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Does that seem an adequate reaction?

100% valid reaction!
When I saw him (I don't want to say the name because major spoilers but You Know Who), I literally screamed. xD Same thing happened when the Master was revealed. I was kinda meh about the episode (loved the opening though, so so much), but he was awesome. I really want to see him and the Master in the same episode later on in the series.

Thank you. Yes. I know who and I screamed to. Today I apparently remembered my boss watches Doctor Who - how I forgot I don't know, he has a TARDIS tattoo - and I spent 10 minutes discussing what happened.
Oh yes! I agree! I'm very curious as to what is going to happen. o.o Next Sunday can't come fast enough.

My friend and I just texted each other during the commercials in all caps about what had happened xD Honestly tho I love it when I can talk to people I know irl about something I like. My friend and I talked about linguistics for about forty five minutes instead of doing our math hw... prob should have been more productive but whatever, I loved it.
I know! I just want next Sunday to be tomorrow. Or today. Or yesterday! I just want to know what happens! *internal squee combustion*

I know exactly what you mean! I've been texting my friend non-spoilerish exclamation points all throughout last episode. XD Then I've been sitting next to her at work and trying not to scream very spoilerish things at her. Productive? Pssssh. What's that? Saaaaaaaaaame! Also, can I make a small comment about liking the current Doctor's accent.

Boo, no one likes productivity... it's stupid... (I say as I stare at my math hw, willing for it to be done)
Yes! Her accent is wonderful! I miss Capaldi's Scottishness, but Whittaker's accent is really nice.

Heh. We stand in agreement then! I will take more of The Master any day. I will riot if the next season isn't good. I need good. I demand good.
This season was better though! Not just because two episodes revolved around two of my favorite time periods or anything biased like that.

I think I prefer the previous season. I don't know. Honestly the Chibnall era hasn't really been for me, but I loved Kerblam! and Demons of the Punjab a *lot.* I loved those episodes so much. The only ones from this season that I'd like to rewatch are the first two, from the Spyfall storyline. Those were fantastic. The others were mostly good, and there were few episodes that I disliked, but it just didn't stick with me.
I don't know. It was a good season, just not the one for me. But the Master and Jacket are great.
