These characters? Here's a list of characters that most people seem to love (I'm neutral on most of them, so I'm curious as to what makes them stand out from the rest)
1. Squirrelflight
2. Hollyleaf
3. Tawnypelt

Squirrelflight: I liked her mostly as an apprentice, and had a general respect for her through the years. But her recent behavior in SFH has made me a bit hesitant on her.
Hollyleaf: I didn't care for her much either, but out of the three she is the one I probably find the most tolerable, not sure, it's tied with Jayfeather.
Tawnypelt: I don't care for her the most out of the three of them, the only time she was likable to me was in TNP, and even then she barely had a role.

I like all of them so
1. when I first read the series I liked her a lot bc her personality kind of reminded me of mine. I've changed a lot now but I still like her personality (in TNP anyways) bc a lot of the warriors characters have kind of subdued/vague personalities, especially the she-cats, so she was unique. I know a lot of people think she was a brat but oh well. also, while neither she nor bramblestar came out of the situation with the three in a great light IMO, I feel like squirrelflight handled it a bit more maturely
2. bc she's really interesting and surprisingly well-written. her personality would probably drive me insane in real life though lmao. also I actually didn't like her when I read the books for the first time until she came back to the clans and developed
3. she just seemed likable to me? she got a bit annoying after she became Rowanstar's mate but like in TPB and TNP she seemed like an intelligent person/cat

I pretty much prefer Tawnypelt the most out of those three. Squirrelflight and Hollyleaf are fine, but I just like Tawnypelt more.

Squirrelflight: I love her feisty personality and how, for better or worse, she'll never give up on doing what she believes is right.
Hollyleaf: her character arc was the best in the series for.
Tawnypelt: I don't really have much to say about her other than she's never really done anything to make me annoyed with her. I also like how loyal she is to her family and her novella was my favorite out of the ones in PoaW. I also feel like she should've gotten a PoV in TNP or at least a better storyline as far as that arc is concerned since she didn't really do much while on the journey to find Midnight or afterwards except get hurt by rats and try to warn Brambleclaw about Tigerstar. The fact that her main character arc was already completed in the first arc anyway didn't really help.

Squirrelflight- Well written and developed, I love her determination and stubbornness , as well as being an amazing sister. She has so much personality, even some of the boring chapters of TNP are slightly better with her POV. She’s fluffy and clever, and generally a very interesting character. Hollyleaf - Eh, she was ok. I think she’s overrated, considering that up until the Ashfur scene, there was nothing to her chapters, aside from acting as support for the others. But after the fire scene, she became very interesting, her POV completely outshining the other two. But for half the arc, she was really uninteresting. Tawnypelt- She’s generally the definition of wasted potential, she went through so much to earn the respect and equality she left TC for. She fought off her father, unlike Brambleclaw, who again knew just as well as she did of what he had done. I like her relationship with Dovewing and her loyalty to her kin, and clan. Her novella was good I guess, although the tribe filler was unnecessary. Edit- I quite like her, but just disagree with the idea that she left TC for her father.

Hollyleaf and Tawnypelt are okay, but they don't stand out as great to me.
As for Squirrelflight, I loved her personality and how cute she was as an apprentice.

Squirrelflight - Annoying af as an apprentice, loved her as a warrior. Hollyleaf - Meh. Overrated. Tawnypelt - She's aight. She deserved a POV in TNP.

I agree with ALL of this I think all the journey cats should have had a POV, at least, the ones that were actually invited. It's disappointing. I think out of all of them, Tawny's role was the smallest? At most she got injured, and then even then nothing stood out about her on the journey. Stormfur and Feathertail had the Tribe Prophecy. Crowfeather was the youngest and had his romance with Feathertail. Feathertail died a hero for the tribe cats. Sqiurrelflight and Brambleclaw both had the Tiger and Fire prophecy, and even their romance was interesting. Heck, Stormfur even had a thing for Squirrel at one point, and later stayed with the tribe (unfortunately). I can't really think about anything Tawnypelt even did significantly, and she didn't even get a POV either. I actually liked her in TNP, and wouldn't have mind reading her POV, I probably would have cared for her more as a character too, but I found that hard too do. She was given an important role but lacked in the narrative.

It's like, ThunderClan, got 3 POVs, RiverClan got 2, did Crowfeather ever get a POV? And ShadowClan...nothing. At least ShadowClan is relevant now

The only memorable thing she did was get bitten by rats. Her personality was only really developed from either her relationship with Brambleclaw or her novella. Having a POV would’ve really helped her character.
