Paleriver / Whiteember : Camp Now was the best time to speak with Whiteember, he decided. Paleriver was not the sort of cat to prolong duty, or to postpone apologising for something he believed reflected poorly upon his reputation. The leader looked as exhausted and beaten as the rest of their patrol, and Paleriver's blue sight tracked her heading toward her den. He sighed, unhappy to have to disturb her twice at her new place of privacy in only her first day. With purposeful paws, he approached her and dipped his head. "Whiteember. I want to apologise for bringing Hazelpaw to the front of the scouting. I hope you'll believe me when I tell you that I'd sooner see StarClan than see my apprentice put in warrior's danger again." He lifted his gaze and scanned her injuries. "Is everything okay?" he asked with concern, breaking from his formal front.

Falconwing Littlepaw shakes her head at Spidereyes. "I managed to stay up in a tree and avoided getting hurt." She felt somewhat guilty for avoiding the fight. However, she had done what Whiteember told her to do. A part of her still expected the fox to come bursting into camp for revenge. "Just... shook up that's all." She admitted glancing down at her paws. •○Spidereye○• Finishing up with Hazelpaws leg he looked back to Littlepaw. She was still young, and neither were fit to take on two foxes. Warriors were barely capable of taking on two foxes that came up by surprise. "Im happy to hear that you are okay. We will need everyone as fit as possible to help deal with the fox situation. Now that we know what we are up against, the next battle will have a much different outcome. Hazelpaw take it easy for the next couple days and come see me every morning so i can apply some more herbs to your wound. We cannot risk infection. Now both of you go get something to eat, you did well today." After encouraging them and adding a little instructions for Hazelpaw Spidereye was finished. Stepping back he nodded to both little shecats allowing them to leave. •♡Hazelpaw♡• Wincing until Spidereye finished, Hazelpaw finally began to breath easy. Though she could still feel her leg throbbing, the poultice he had applied was already begining to help soothe the wounds. Shuffling close to Littlepaw she dipped her head to the medicine cat as he gave them leave. "Thank you Spidereye." At the mention of food Hazelpaw suddenly became aware of her hunger. When was the last time she ate anything? This morning? The fact that she couldnt remember made her hunger grow all the more. "Come on lets go pick out the fattest piece of prey on the pile" she mewed looking to her friend.

•●Stonefall●• Stealthfire Mosswhiskers fiesty attitude is exactly why the marbked grey tom fell in love with her. It was as if the fire burning within her heart managed to cause his own to ignite and burn just as fiercely. He breathed a breath of relief when she dropped the fox issue, she knew that he would readily lay down his life for her and their family. As his mate pointing out the only kit that looked like him, Stonefall opened his eyes a little wider so he could see the kit clearly. In the dark den he moved close to find the kit to look almost exactly like him. "Ah just like me. She is beautiful... what do you think of the name Ashkit for her?" He questioned lovingly as he gave the kit a couple soft licks before looking back at Mossehisker.

•¤Darksage¤• Voidastral Honeystep "Look!" His voice rose and tail pointed to the camps entrance. The border patrol had returned. "Lets go tell Whitember about the camp walls" he meowed looking back to Honeystep. In his mind he hoped that tomorrow the wall repairs would begin. Maybe him and Honeystep would be assigned to the duty together. Spending more time with the pretty warrior would definitely be nice. He had thoroughly enjoyed her company and would be happy for any excuse to be with her again.

((sorry about mia!)) Honeystep - Darksage ( Falconwing) The she-cat nodded with a wide smile "That's a good idea!" The camp walls would hopefully be fixed soon enough. She doubted that Whiteember wouldn't put her or Darksage on duty since they'd both found the issues. Though she really had to give Darksage more of the credit, he really did have a keen eye! She followed him toward's their new leader, ready to inform her of the walls and the two warrior's shared hopes to fix them up!

•¤Darksage¤• Voidastral With Honeystep right behind him, Darksage advanced towards Whiteember. Frustration bubbled slightly within him when the returning patrol quickly dispersed and Whiteember escaped them into her new den, Paleriver quickly following after. Something seemed off. They all seemed to be in a disheveled state. Halting for a moment he sniffed the gound where his clanmates had just been, taking in their remaining scents. "Fox!" Wide eyes turned back to look at Honeystep.

Duskfang's Hunting Patrol- Returning to Camp
The red-brown tom's lips creep up as he caught Nettletooth's sudden embarrassment. She's adorable embarrassed.. He couldn't keep from thinking, though he was glad to have both fish in his mouth as well. Stagwatcher usually was not one to be flustered like he was. The often stoic warrior could easily continue a conversation just as well as he could listen. However, with the gray she-cat in front of him, Stagwatcher was silent. As they entered the camp, he walked over to the fresh-kill pile and sat down his catch, waiting for Nettletooth to do the same.
Would it be awkward if I just wait here? Or do I wait here and congratulate her on her catch? Do I say anything at all?? The tom sat there, green eyes almost fixated on the young warrior as his thoughts rambled on. Realizing this, he averted his gaze downwards and off to the side, curling his reddish tail around his feet.

Leader's Den - With Paleriver The she-cat smiled and nodded, turning her head back towards her wound. "I'm fine, Paleriver. It's not that deep, see? It's already stopped bleeding." After reprocessing his words, Whiteember just shook her head. "I would've done the same with Littlepaw, if positions were reversed." Her amber gaze peered up as she laid eyes on the white warrior. "There was no way of knowing there were two foxes. Let alone a mated pair. Hazelpaw's injuries are not because of you. They aren't even because of her. Do not blame or put guilt on yourself. I hope you relay that message to Hazelpaw as well. It can be frustrating to retreat." Whiteember stretched out as she stood. "But I am glad you stopped by. Before I can address the foxes in the territory with the clans, I need a new deputy." The she-cat smiled proudly as she spoke, "Paleriver, I want to offer this position to you. You have already been a great help. With me being a young leader, I fear that the clan may not trust me in this position with some right," her voice wavered a bit. "However," Whiteember said more enthusiastically, moving closer to him," with a senior warrior, such as yourself, will hopefully put CreekClan more at ease." The leader sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws. She had just assumed it was a nervous habit at this point. "I will give you the night to think about it. I know it's a big change and a lot of responsibility. But I would be honored to have you." The she-cat dipped her head in respect.

Honeystep - Darksage ( Falconwing) Honeystep jumped, startled by both the sudden change in tone and the fact that Darksage could scent a fox on their pelts. A moment of long silence as she tried to collect her thoughts and questions. "Do you think they chased it off? Could it possibly follow their scent?" She felt her fur fluff up a tad in fear, combing it back down with her tongue in soothe. They hadn't returned with a fox in tow and those things were smart, sure, but not enough to just wait them out like that. Surely it hadn't followed the patrol.

Mosswhisker / Stonefall : Nursery Mosswhisker smiled, relenting her stubbornness to let her mate name just one of their five. "Ashkit is lovely for her. What about our other little she-kit?" The first thing that came to mind for Mosswhisker looking at the round, small brown bundle was a small acorn rolling around. "Acornkit suits her coat. And her tiny stature." Though not as small as the littlest tom, Acornkit seemed to only have mass in her width. "And our toms..." she glanced at the two tabbies and their wispy dusk coloured brother. Mosswhisker sighed at the latter, commenting, "I just know grooming his fuzzy self is going to take twice as long as the others combined. Burrkit is right for him." She looked to Stonefall to gauge his reactions to her suggestions.

Littlepaw quickly how hungry she was and looks back at Hazelpaw. "Let's go before the warriors eat the good prey!" She wasn't super hungry but needed something to occupy her mind. "Can you walk on your own or do you need some help?" Littlepaw questioned. FalconwingDuskfang and Marshflower return from their patrol and places their catches in the pile. Paleriver / Whiteember : Leader's Den Paleriver was satisfied Whiteember's assurance of her health. He knew himself how pointless it was to be pestered like a kit over a warrior's wound. "I'm glad you're alright. That we're all alright. We certainly have StarClan to thank, retreat or not." Her words put him at ease more than he believed they had the power to do. It meant a great deal that she saw herself doing the same with Littlepaw in his position, but Paleriver would never forgive himself fully for not being able to prevent Hazelpaw's wound.
Paleriver listened to her offer calmly and objectively at first. It was wise reasoning, and a pragmatic choice from a leader so young. He would have hastily turned her down if he believed the decision to be a mistake, however, he trusted in her choosing him after thinking it over as she spoke, and was afterwards overcome with honour. As she finished, he responded gratefully. "I would be very happy to serve my clan however suits best. I'll trouble you no further with all the uncertainty of the past few days, I accept the position. Thank you, Whiteember." He dipped his head in return. The sooner he could work with Whiteember toward rebuilding the clan, the sooner he could be reunited with the orderly ways of the code and routine that he so loved.

Nettletooth / Stagwatcher : Camp [gahhhh flustered Stag is adorbs]
Nettletooth had deposited her fish on the fresh-kill pile and stared at it awhile, proudly admiring how nicely it looked beside all the other catches. She reluctantly broke her gaze from her achievement to turn back to her hunting companion, who gaze she definitely felt burning upon her. There was no mistaking the way he glanced away this time. She bit her tongue. Something in her was hesitant to call him out, or question his stare. Unlike usual, she didn't really mind. The way Stagwatcher looked at her was somehow different from the stares she typically spurned, judging stares from her parents or older warriors.
Nettletooth came to the conclusion that it had been a very long time since she had been looked at with respect, as her own individual, and not just as the youngest warrior. After almost six moons as the youngest, it felt as if she would never live down her youthful reputation. Hunting with Stagwatcher that evening made her wish to fight back against this reputation. It was time for her to really work as a warrior, just as gracefully and pleasantly as the tom did. Unabashedly, she asked, "Want to share one? It's quite late so I'm sure most everyone has already been fed." She eyed the carp he had caught, and looked at it with famished eyes.

In Camp - With Nettletooth (DUDEE THEY ARE PRESHHHH)
At first, the tom hardly said anything, seeming surprised by the young warrior's offer. He paused for a moment, but before he could decline, his belly reminded him of its' own emptiness as it gnawed at him. Stagwatcher got to his feet and grabbed the carp that the she-cat had been eyeballing. He sat the silver scaled fish at her paws before sitting down next to her. "It's only polite that she-cats' take the first bite," he spoke, motioning for her to go ahead and eat. The reddish tom averted his eyes from Nettletooth. Don't stare. Don't stare. She will think I'm weird. Plus she's probably not even into someone that's moons older. Stagwatcher's green orbs peered up despite his inner monologue.

Leader's Den - with Paleriver The leader purred in delight as Paleriver accepted his new role with pride. "I will alert Spidereye of my decision once I go see him. You will make a fine deputy, Paleriver. I have no doubts that we together will put CreekClan back in its rightful state," she spoke confidently, rising to her feet. She winced as the increasing soreness of her back leg reminded her that she was still in fact injured. No time for that right now! I have to get things going with the rest of these issues. "So as our first task, I guess we should alert the clan of the foxes in Moss Hollow. Where would you think a temporary yet suitable place to train would be? I don't want to hold back the training of any apprentices, not when we need the warriors. I also want to approach the clan with tact. No need to get everyone riled up too much, especially after the bear attack..." Whiteember trailed off, thinking to how lost the clan was after that day. She respected Paleriver, even when she was an apprentice herself. With her now being leader, she knew that she would need all the help she could get. "What are your ideas?"

Nettletooth / Stagwatcher : Camp Nettletooth liked Stagwatcher even better than she already did that day when he chose the carp she craved. His offer of the first bite caught her by surprise, and she was more than thankful for how kind he proved to be, and not just as an acquaintance. He had always been kinder to her than some other warriors, but he was showing himself to be truly genuine. She took a bite of the fish gratefully. It was important for her not to get ahead of herself, she thought. He's kind to everyone, that's who he is as a clanmate. Stagwatcher's only showing you what he shows to everyone else equally. Nettletooth worried what her stoic family would say if they saw her pattering around after Stagwatcher, bug-eyed and entranced. Mosswhisker and Stonefall had a different type of love, bound by duty, and her uncle Paleriver seemed almost devoid of feelings sometimes. She was only proving everyone right if she allowed herself to be silly enough to flirt toward him. Just a foolish young she-cat with little rationality, reaching for the warrior she wished she could be.

Paleriver / Whiteember : Leader's Den Paleriver returned her purr with a small smile, gladdened that he could please his leader at such a trying time. He fought to keep a look of concern from flashing over his face when he noticed her wince. Painful as their encounter with the foxes had been, what mattered now was Spidereye being able to deliver Whiteember safely to Sky Hill. He listened carefully. It seemed that the leader had been thinking already of all the correct concerns regarding the clan's fears and introducing the new danger of the foxes. "I don't think there's any other way for you to be but honest at this time about the foxes," he admitted. "The clan won't take well to being coddled, and it's going to show our strength that we were able to fight them and return with our lives." As for the apprentices, Paleriver offered as best a solution he could think of at the time, conscious of Hazelpaw's desire to become a warrior soon but unwilling to train her if it meant too much risk. "Fawn Valley may be our only choice. It's not next to Moss Hollow, and it's directly next to camp for an easy return at the first sign of trouble."

•¤Darksage¤• Voidastral "I don't know but if there are foxes in the area it is imperative now more than ever to restructure the camp walls." Though his tone was heavy with worry it carried confidence as if he knew the task would be completed without delay. Darksage could easliy see how this news upset Honeystep and he shifted a tab bit closer, trying not to cross a boundary but to offer reassurance. "As soon as Whiteember and Paleriver finish talking and come out, we will inform them and I'm sure they will make it a priority. In the mean time I will guard the camps entrance just in case a fox has followed their scents back here." •●Stonefall●• Stealthfire Happy that his mate approved in his choice if a name for the young shecat, he gave Mosswhisker another set of affectionate licks. Havimg more kits had caused the tom to fall even more in love with her, and he couldn't contain himself. Thankfully it was just the two of them and the other warriors didn't see him in such a lovey-dovey mood. He would never hear the end of it. As Mosswhisker when on to name a couple of the others, Acornkit and Burrkit, one of the tomkits began to mew in a fiesty manner shoving the runt of the litter aside to try and find its morthers milk. "How about we name him Thistlekit? He seems a bit fiesty." •♡Hazelpaw♡• Hawkeyes258 Hazelpaw gently tested her leg and it seemed manageable. "I think I can manage. Thanks", she purred and turned for the freshkill pile with Littlepaw. As they approached she could see Nettletooth and Stagwatcher, Duskstep and Marshflower deposit fresh prey onto the pile. Eyes growing wide she cast and excited look to Littlepaw. "Ohh yes lots of option's!"

In Camp - with Nettletooth
Stagwatcher watched as Nettletooth took the first bite out of the tender fish. Following suit, Stagwatcher tore into the soft meat and quietly chewed. He sent a couple glances towards his fellow warrior, but shook his head knowing she wouldn't have interest. But how would you know? There's always a possibility... His inner conscience tried to be optimistic as that was Stagwatcher's normal behavior, but something more dark lingered and filled the tom's head with doubt. He took another bite out of his end of the fish. "Uh...," he started. "You did, uh, great fishing with me today. It's been a while since I've had. uh. good company." He bit the inside of his cheek as if to remind himself to keep his mouth shut.
Whiteember/ Whitestar Leader's Den - With Paleriver "Ah, Fawn Valley would be an excellent temporary training grounds," Whiteember agreed aloud. "First thing's first, we need to address the clan. I'm sure Spidereye would approve of my choice of deputy." The white-furred leader moved forward, but realizing her leg was still very sore, she lifted it off the ground. She gave an uneasy look towards Paleriver. "On second thought, maybe I should have Spidereye look at this instead," she muttered and began her three-legged descent to the Medicine Cat's den. "Oh and Paleriver?" she paused, stopping right before the entrance to her den. "Thanks for accepting this position. I can't wait to rebuild our home." As she arrived, greeting clan members along the way, Whiteember stepped inside. "Spidereye?" she called out. "Can you come look at my wound for me, please? I also have some exciting news!"

Mosswhisker / Stonefall : Nursery "Thistlekit is perfect," Mosswhisker agreed. "It fits well with all of their names." She had hoped that Stonefall would briskly move on to name the small tom, to put her at ease that nothing was wrong and it was all in her mind. Frustrated with treating him any differently, the queen forced herself onward to name the last one as well. "Twigkit," she stated. "It fits the other names. And then he can only prove the name wrong when he grows up." She began to groom the small tabby determinedly, willing her strength into him.

Nettletooth / Stagwatcher : Camp Nettletooth continued to fill herself with carp, for the moment so focused on how grateful she was to finally eat after such a long day than on Stagwatcher's presence. The tom willingly spending so much time with her was new to Nettletooth, who had only been an annoyance most of her life. And when he voiced how pleased he actually was to have fished with her? Nettletooth didn't know how to respond to his genuineness."Really?" she replied at first. "I mean, it just seems like you have no trouble getting along with others." She had always seen Stagwatcher as a popular warrior, and his comment surprised her. "Don't you like going hunting with other warriors?" More experienced than me, she thought silently.

Paleriver / Whiteember calliope / Open : Leader's Den / Warrior's Den "Yes, there's plenty of news to share with everyone now," Paleriver agreed, thinking upon Mosswhisker's newborn litter as well. He was excited to hear how many nieces or nephews he had, and to congratulate his friend Stonefall. Whiteember's gratitude touched him, there was nothing more special to the warrior than getting a better opportunity to serve his clan. "It's my life's greatest honour. Thank you for entrusting me," he returned, and exited her den behind her as she sought out the medicine cat. There was so much Paleriver wanted to know still, about Mosswhisker's kits, and Hazelpaw's injury, but all he could think to do was rest until the clan meeting. He headed over to the warrior's den, and positioned himself outside of it. Paleriver saw the light scrapes he had sustained from the fox, making his pelt look much more fearsome than his injuries in reality were, with the blood staining his white coat gruesomely. Not the best look for a new deputy, he thought, and went to work grooming his snowy coat.

•○Spidereye○• calliope Spidereye jumped at the sound of an unexpected voice. Whiteember had approached just as he was putting the last of the left over poultice away that he had prepared for Hazelpaw. Turning to face his new leader Spidereye dipped his head respectfully before stepping close to the white tabby to inspect her wound. "Of course", he meowed initially as he began to look over her leg. When she continued to speak of exciting news the toms ear pricked up and he turned his yellow gaze to meet hers. "Oh, did you chase the fox off Creekclan territory?", he question thinking she wished to share her first victory as leader with him. Little did he know that the foxes had bested the clan cats, and it was a battle to be fought for another day.

•●Stonefall●• Stealthfire Stonefall nodded approvingly towards Mosswhiskers choice in name for the runt of the litter. The greatest warriors have always faced great challenges. A challenge was exactly was his little tom-kit needed, to help spur him to be more than expected. "We have named them well. May Starclan see fit to look down upon our kits and help guide them into the future to be great warriors for Creekclan." Stonefalls voice raised slightly with affirmation and pride. These were his kits and he was wanted the absolute best for them. Giving his mate a couple of licks he then turned a reached for the prey that initially brought into the nursery when he had first arrived. "Here eat something, renew your strength." Giving it to his mate selflessly he then began to groom his ruffled pelt, cleaning away the scent of battle to bring a more peaceful atmosphere for his kits. ((Okay headed into work. I will for sure be online when i get off though.))

Honeystep - Darksage ( Falconwing) Honeystep nodded to her clanmate "That sounds like a good idea then." Though reassured and now given a plan, the warrior still felt uneasy. Her eyes watched the camp wall's with worry and hints of panic behind the eyes. Foxes were still fast, maybe not the smartest, but still, fast. She couldn't help it. It was just an instinctual fear of something that could harm her clanmates, her friends, her family. She did still attempt to keep it down though, not to cause panic from other cats. Listen to what her dad would tell her to do. Lioneye always said to try and breathe, which is something Honeystep was sure he'd picked up from her mom.

Medicine Cat Den - with Spidereye The white she-cat's ears turned back as she looked down and away from the medicine cat's watchful eyes. "Not... exactly..." she said, uneasily. "There are two in Moss Hollow, a male and female. I'm not sure what they are doing at this moment, but it's not good." She spoke in a hushed tone, so that no one other than Spidereye could hear her. The last thing this new leader needed was a panic among the clan prematurely. "But," she spoke up in a much more cheerful tone, "I chose the new deputy, Paleriver. He really proved himself today! Plus, I think it will allow the clan to have such a young warrior as leader with more ease than if I had chosen someone near my own age." Whiteember laid down close to the black tom, angling her leg so he could see it better. "My wound isn't bad, I don't think. It seems to have stop bleeding for the most part, just is sore and hurts." @/anyone In Camp - with Nettletooth
"Eh," he responded with a shrug. "It's nice, I guess." The reddish tom's inner self heaved with a big sigh as he wallowed in his shyness. His green eyes continued to peer at Nettletooth, wishing he would say more, but remaining quiet instead. He ate the carp, silently thanking StarClan for the wonderful catch they provided. "So, uh.." he spoke up after a long couple minutes of picking his side of the fish carcass clean. "Would you maybe want to go hunting tomorrow, too? The clan always need fed..." Realizing how it sounded, he scrambled for another excuse if he was to be rejected. Upon seeing Whiteember leaving her den, he crafted the perfect idea. "You know, unless Whiteember needs us to do something more important!"

Littlepaw nodded her head in agreement. "Least we know those foxes didn't scare away the prey." She peers down at the pile and debates her options. Mosswhisker / Stonefall : Nursery Mosswhisker let out a tense sigh of relief with Stonefall's approval of Twigkit's name. Naming five kits felt like an unbelievable feat for the exhausted queen, but she felt whole knowing they all had clan identities now. She gratefully accepted a bite of the prey Stonefall brought, but barely finished chewing before the soft squeaks and snores of her litter and Stonefall's rhythmic grooming sent her into a deep, relaxed sleep.
Nettletooth / Stagwatcher : Camp Nettletooth brightened at the prospect of going hunting again with Stagwatcher. Now, she didn't just feel herself excited by the fantasy of becoming a truly respected warrior, but also spending more time with the russet tom. Before she could respond, he had spotted Whiteember, and deflected onto that topic. With a purr of amusement, gaining slightly more confidence knowing that he liked to spend time with her just as well as she did, she returned, "Maybe a border patrol. I promise I'm much better at that." She squinted at the pale leader, and at that moment noticed the red dotted pelt of Paleriver outside the warrior's den as well. "What's happened to Whiteember's patrol?"
