Finally finished my Marilyn Manson CD collection after roughly a year! Also got an extra 2 albums. I only needed Born Villain to finish my collection, but I'm going to have to replace it since the CD arrived damaged. I gave up trying to buy it in person unfortunately (I literally could not find it at any record store). The other Marilyn Manson CD is going to be a gift for my gf when I come back from university. I also bought the Bauhaus record on a whim, because its a 2018 remaster of the first ever goth record. Super cool stuff.

i still need to finish my Marilyn Manson collection, but all i can ever find in store is Lest We Forget and Heaven Upside Down, so gonna have to look online for the rest. CD selections in New Zealand stores are pretty bad tbh. did find Smells Like Children, Anti-Christ Superstar, and Mechanical Animals secondhand not that long ago tho.

For the most part, I was able to find everything in store (including portrait of an american family, weirdly enough because its hard to find). My best luck came from visiting malls that didn't have much foot traffic, but I guess its much different for your situation. What were the condition of those secondhand CDs by the way? I always held off from buying them because I worried they'd be scratched up.

Thats kind of ironic actually. CDs in store for me are usually much cheaper than their online counterparts. I bought Heaven Upside Down for 12 dollars at a place called Sunrise Records (they're all over Canada), yet its almost 24 dollars on amazon canada. Oh yeah, and thats without even including taxes. Also that sounds neat. I'm thinking about starting a Bauhaus or Nine Inch Nails collection eventually, so I'll probably be exploring second hand stuff then. I just dont want to buy something and then have artwork missing or damaged CDs.

I just dont want to buy something and then have artwork missing or damaged CDs. it usually depends on the online store for me. the JBHi-Fi online store generally has the same pricing as in store. but another online store that i use (fishpond.co.nz) is pretty cheap, and has every CD that i'm looking for with options to buy secondhand if there's any available, just takes a few weeks for everything to arrive. i think i had bought Heaven Upside Down from JBHi-Fi for around $15 on sale, and Lest We Forget was around $10 on sale. buying secondhand is great in finding older stuff that's harder to find brand new. i've been wanting to start a Rob Zombie collection, and i've been keeping an eye out around the secondhand stores closest to me and online, not found any yet, but i know this huge secondhand store out of town has a pretty big CD collection, so i'll hopefully have some luck there. though i've not had much luck at finding any Marilyn Manson at any secondhand stores yet aside from the Guns, God, And Government tour DVD. i've only been able to find a few secondhand online so far. i've only bought something secondhand once that was missing artwork - it was for Green Day's Insomniac, but i've since found a newer one that isn't missing anything. half the time the cases are a bit broken if i buy something secondhand, but that's an easy fix.

Actually yeah, thats weird, I don't think I've ever actually seen any rob zombie CDs. I don't actually listen to him, but I'm pretty sure he would be popular enough to have CDs floating around in stores. Also yeah, artwork and inside goodies are super important to me personally, so your experience with that green day CD is my nightmare lmao.
