ashwind Here.
First order of business would be come up with names/theme for the kingdoms? Maybe a list of the animals available for steeds, too.
- Dragons [East & West variant?] - Pegasi/alicorns - Griffons - Winged Wolves - Phoenixes/firebirds - Hippogriffs - Tricos - Giant Crow TM - etc.

So are we going for more of a cliche bad kingdom good kingdom etc. or are we making the heavenly humans out to be the villains? Or maybe both? That could work, it would make an interesting dynamic between the kingdoms where they don't trust each other but are forced to figure out their differences to work together. (Which could go for our characters as well)

I was thinking something along the lines of a forced alliance between the kingdoms to fight the avenging "angels" off. That way it would be like a war on two sides. Lots of room for drama and treachery to take root. The new military school could be symbol of their "alliance." Obviously the pupils would not be very happy to be seated alongside former rivals/enemies, which makes for a very tense environment.
In total there could be, say, an empire [composed of one fallen kingdom and dominant, ruling kingdom], two independent kingdoms [intent on keeping the empire out of their borders] and a reformed republic that was a former empire comprised of many smaller kingdoms. This republic could be the "lead" in negotiations of sorts since their citizens are the most diverse and generally considered to be a successful example of living peacefully with people of different backgrounds.

I see so much potential for lying and backstabbing in this. Yes. So would we start out in the military school? Or just after it? I'm assuming there will be one on one tests and such where the best in the 'class' would be the best in this one on one tournament and such? There could be more ways to implement a rivalry there as well. Maybe our characters coulld be from the empire, one from the fallen kingdom, one from the dominant? So they already don't like each other or something.

So they already don't like each other or something. I think we'll start out with the students just arriving at the Academy - - each with different attitudes towards the situation. And yeah, I was thinking our two primary characters could come from the Empire. [Preferably from different socioeconomic backgrounds too to add to the level of "clash" in their personalities]. The faculty could also be hostile to each other, since they're from different parts of the continent.

Ah, okay. c: Are you making the one from the fallen kndgdom or the dominant one? Would you like for it to be a enemies-to-lovers situation or keep the relationship platonic?
If we're going for romance, then would you be more comfortable with F x M or M x M/ F x F? [Asking since I'm not sure which gender you're making your character].

I was going to do the fallen kingdom. And an enemy to lovers situation would be a cool change of pace for me. It's been quite a while since I roleplayed any romance. As far as that I prefer FxM, with myself roleplaying the male.
Oh and how detailed are these forms supposed to be? I don't usually go too in depth with them, but I can no problem, if it's required ^^

Nothing too fancy. Maybe just name, personality, a brief family background & some combat statistics? I really don't have much preference for how you do forms. And that sounds cool. c: I'll whip up snobby female character.

Dean Sommers / seventeen - Empire of Acathia(made up placeholder)
Average height and weight, 5'10, 165 lbs. He has messy brown hair and amber colored eyes. He is easily frustrated but not very prone to anger. He is a rather humble young man, as he grew up on a farm with his three older brothers, four younger sisters and parents. All of which died in the war against Acathia. He now trains at the military school, fighting alongside some of the people that killed his family. Not sure what you mean by combat statistics but he's more of a bow and arrow/dagger kind of guy than a sword and shield. His steed is Dan(yphorous) a griffon.
I wasn't really sure what age range you wanted to go with so this is definitely up to change if you would like.

Araminta Rosette Highwater // seventeen // daughter of house highwater, wards of the sea // empire of acathia Thin, lithe and wiry frame, Araminta stands just above 5'3, her petite stature giving her an almost dainty look. Her long, jet black hair is usually swept into a low ponytail to keep it from obstructing her view. She has blue-green eyes. Born to Lord Edvard and Lady Corinthia, Araminta's aristocratic upbringing largely influences her personality and mannerisms. She was educated with the finest scholars of all of Acathia, specializing in Aquatic Arts, as per her family's custom. Her studies entail water manipulation, controlling weather and Singing -- a peculiar gift from to her mixed ancestry with a variety of nymphs and sirens. Aside from this, she studied various languages, military tactics, ancient literature, mathematics and many other subjects to prepare her for her position as an Advisor to her elder sister -- Aurelia, the beloved heir to House Highwater. The "perfect" one. While Araminta does not despise her sister, she does envy her a great deal. Years of diligent ettiquete classes have curbed her fiery tongue. However, Araminta is naturally more brash and hotheaded than her sister, a trait her family disapproved of. She's since perfected the "poker face," although little twinges of annoyance and anger tend to flicker across her expression from time to time. Nevertheless, for what she lacks in elegance and regality, she makes up for it with quick intellect and impeccable observation skills. She fights best with a shortsword, suited to close-handed combat, alongside her trusty serpentine steed, Athabasca. (An emerald green Chinese she-dragon).
