Stoat knew his parents weren't to be found, his real parents had up and left moons ago before he could even memorize their faces. He sat down with a soft plop, examining the she-cat before him. He seemed to have found himself two cats who had no prey on them, not only that but one was injured so it wasn't like she was about to go hunting. He sighed, flicking his tail as he looked around him. He could still search the ruins of the two-leg places, perhaps food was there.
"Nice to meet you, Azalea and...Cloud. How long have you two been out here?" He questioned, trying to get a bit of information. He felt this tug on the inside, as though he should say something. You should mention the group of cats you mouse-brain, they obviously don't have many options on where to go.
{Sun} The she-cat had noticed the lack of the younger tom who had joined them recently...she would have to find him soon if they were going to discuss what to do next. She took a deep breath and began to make her way from the few cats around her, there wasn't a lot but enough to give them a decent advantage over any other cats who might have hostile intentions. She tasted the air for Stoat's scent but couldn't find a trace, just her luck. She guessed he might try to visit the old town place, what for was beyond her but there wasn't many other options to check. She decided to take the back way though, she didn't want to charge head first into trouble.

Nala made sure to keep Aslan close to her, though the young tom definitely was able to go faster than she was, starting to hurt with the lack of pills and such that her housefolk had been giving her, her hips starting to bother her, though at least it wasn't cold, as she knew that would hurt even more. She just kept walking, looking around, knowing they didn't have long before any food in town would go bad, and they had no way to hunt at the moment, so they'd have to try and scavenge until Aslan could figure out how to actually hunt for food. Said tom was currently sniffing around at every little thing, his plumed orange tail sweeping back and forth as he did, before he caught the scent of other cats, stopping in his tracks. He turned to Nala as she caught up with him, his tail bristling slightly. "I smell other cats.", he said, not sure what to do. Nala had just been about to say something, when she caught sight of movement behind Aslan, her tail puffing up slightly at the sight of the ginger she-cat that walked out of the bushes, walking in front of Aslan. She knew she wouldn't be much use in a fight, but she still wasn't about to throw him into a fight, as he was barely more than a kitten. (( ☾ѕησσzє☽))

Nala eyed the she-cat, her tail still bristled slightly, sweeping back and forth, mostly to make sure Aslan stayed behind her. She didn't hear any kind of hostility in the cat's tone, but she was still wary. She listened as she told them her name, relaxing ever so slightly. She'd heard her name before, from Aslan talking about cats he'd heard about sitting on the fence. "I'm Nala, and this is Aslan.", she said, flicking her tail at the fluffy orange-and-white tom, who was still eyeing the cat warily, his tail flicking as well, though it wasn't noticeably bristled, mostly due to how thin and soft his fur was. "We're from a nest near the middle of town, or, what used to be town.", she said, glancing around at the charred buildings. Out here in the outskirts they weren't as badly burned, some of them having not caught fire at all, as the houses were further spread out. One even still had its sprinklers on, though they were starting to taper out as the water source was depleted. Nala was seriously debating asking this cat for help. She was young, and seemed experienced, enough that she'd be able to hunt prey. She finally relaxed even more, her tail flattening out, as she looked back over at the she-cat. "You wouldn't happen to have any spare prey, would you? Or be able to teach this fuzzbrain how to hunt?", she asked. "I'm too old, and even when I was younger, I never could really hunt all that well.", she said, holding up a paw and flexing it slightly. Normally claws would have emerged, but nothing did. "No claws.", she said. (( ☾ѕησσzє☽))

Sun was taken back by the lack of claws, this wasn't something she would normally see in her time. She shook her shock off her face and went to look at Aslan, the tom she was talking about.
He certainly would be a fine addition to their group, probably wouldn't run off like Stoat either. Yet training him...she had never trained a cat before. Could she even do it or would it end in a terrible disaster? She cleared her throat, signalling she was about speak. "We have very little food but enough, if you wish to follow me and join the group I am in, that's well. All I ask is you don't go running off without telling someone and you are willing to stay with us while we figure out our next steps. As for your companion, I could try to train him how to hunt but there's no telling how capable he will be at the end. It's a natural reflex in most cats, one I learned myself. I will certainly try my hardest though, we need more cats willing to pull their weight." She thought of Stoat again, the tom was still missing. "Have you two seen a curly haired tom come through here by any chance? He might have given you a silly name and couldn't keep his story very straight when speaking to you."

Nala listened as she spoke, Aslan still staying quiet, letting her talk with Sun, not wanting to say the wrong thing on accident. Nala shook her head at the mention of the other cat. "No, we haven't. You're the first cat we've come across since the fire.", she said. "As for joining your group, we'd be more than happy to. I'm not sure how much good I'll do, but I'll find something.", she said, her tail flicking slightly. "As for him, he's got the spirit, he just doesn't have the skills for live prey.", she said, glancing back at him. "A little too easily distracted, but that's mostly because he doesn't have a technique figured out.", she said. Aslan finally spoke up, his voice a bit quieter than hers. "I can hunt things that don't have ears really well, but I never know what prey can and can't hear and always end up scaring them away.", he mewed. Nala nodded slightly, before looking back at Sun. "And I'd be willing to see if I'd be able to help keep any place we stay clean.", she said. "Can't do much heavy lifting or hunting with these old bones." (( ☾ѕησσzє☽))

Sun took a deep breath, she hadn't considered running this by the others. I don't need to, I was the one who helped find the land we are at now. If they grow angry, shame on them. They can leave.
"Very well, Nala and Aslan. I will take you back to our camp and if it's alright with you, Nala, I would like to Aslan out and test his hunting skills so I can see them for myself." She didn't feel any better about her new position as the mentor of this young cat. She knew no prey that had no ears, if there was then certainly they would be dead by now. "Camp isn't too far from here. Just out past this burnt place." She turned and began to retreat back to camp, her ears burning. She hadn't found Stoat just yet, but that was fine. The tom could handle himself surely and she had more important things to do now. She tried to run over the prey pile in her head, recalling there was a few pieces of spare prey for them for them right now. Should Aslan eat before she took him out? She certainly would suggest the two of them getting a drink before dealing with the hot sun.
