Ravenstrike sat at the edge of the warrior's den, her eyes focused on the clearing in front of her. She definitely wasn't going to go out there yet, especially if no one else had. The warrior's den was still full and it was past sunrise. There was tension hanging thick in the air, left-over from last night, and she knew a lot of cats took it hard. Ravenstrike, of course, didn't really show her reaction - no one had asked her yet. But she didn't want the first cat to confront her that morning to be Stormstar. So she waited. Her ears pricked as Robinsplash padded out of the den, and she kept a keen eye on the interaction between them. Nothing hostile yet, which was weird, but she wanted to make sure it was fine before she stepped out there like nothing was wrong. Because something was definitely wrong, and Ravenstrike wanted to ignore it for now. She waited until the two cats were distracted before she padded out and sat in front of the den's entrance to groom her fur.
Littlepoppy was still curled up in the nursery, although he wasn't asleep. His mind was still running with thoughts from yesterday. He didn't know what to think of their leader. Why hadn't he said something before? Why did he even have to bring it up? Everything was fine until he came out with such an... opinion. Change was scary for Littlepoppy, as the Clan could get distracted and something even worse could happen to them in the meantime. He wasn't even sure he wanted to step outside the den at all today. Good thing he had no reason to.
Spiderwhisker watched the others from his own nest, which was farther back in the sett. He could understand how this was a problem for some cats; there were even some that left the camp out of anger. But certainly they just needed some time to breathe; they would come back, right? He didn't want something like this to tear apart the Clan, although at this point he wasn't sure how close they were to that point. At the sound of movement, Spiderwhisker pricked one ear but didn't speak as Dawnprowl entered the den. She was sitting somewhere close to him, so without lifting his head from his paws he looked at her, round eyes even bigger with concern. She'd been gone all night! "Are you alright?" he whispered, trying not to wake the others around them.

[ It's very simple. I am a big of minimalistic codes when it comes to roleplay posts. I don't want anything to take away from the RP post and want it to be easy to read even on the mobile version my struggle was with the padding but I realized that I needed to split the code. So there is technically two [div.] boxes together so it looks like one code.
also is Eversnow about 2 moons along? I think cat's gestation periods are about 3 months. ]
E v e r s n o w
The queen shifted in her nest and the black furred feline rolled back onto her stomach. Eversnow blinked her eyes open lazily in the dim of the den. She could feel her kits kicking her in the ribs. She grimaced before pushing herself to her paws, maybe they didn't like the pressure of their mother lying on her stomach. She could understand the discomfort from being squished.
Eversnow twitched her ears as she heard some of her clanmates being awake. The worst part of being within camp most of the time was that it was a small area. There was never any quiet. She padded out of the nursery without saying anything to Littlepoppy, she had all the time in the world to speak to the tom. Her tail swishing behind her as her blue gaze flickering around the camp.
She wasn't surprised that her clanmates were absent. Stormstar had rather shaken the clan with his bold words. Eversnow didn't know how she felt about it. She was a cat of structure and order. This wasn't order but she had other priorities at the current moment.

P r o u d f a l c o n
Outside of the Warrior, Camp / [ open ]
The large tom was resting outside of the warrior den. He was curled into a large ball of brown tabby fur. His head was tuckered underneath of his tail and there was gentle snores coming out from underneath the thick fur.
Proudfalcon was up for most of the night. After the meeting from the day before, Proudfalcon felt conflicted. To take his mind off everything, he decided to join the dusk patrol. Once they returned back to camp, the tom settled into his nest for the night. Most of the warriors were restless and the aura seemed tense. It was hard to fall asleep peacefully.

M i s t y c r e e k Moonlit Falls / [ open ]
Mistycreek let out a soft breath as she stopped. She twitched her whiskers as she watched the air frost in front of her face. It was always a slight chill in the area during the morning. Her fur fluffed up in an attempt to buffer some of the chill away from her skin.
She started to padding towards the pool of water. Her ears twitching as she listened to gentle rumbling of the waterfall. It was a smoothing sound that filled her thoughts with calming feels. The meeting that Stormstar staged yesterday proved to be a shock. It had left Mistycreek feeling shaky about the clan and it's future.
Mistycreek shook her head, trying to cast the thoughts away as she went to lay down next to the pool of the water. She didn't mind the gentle mist of water that was coming off the waterfall.

E v e r s n o w with Sagepaw
Eversnow caught sight of Sagepaw in the corner of her eye. She stifled the groan that wanted to escape her as the young healer came up to her. The queen straightened up her posture and lifted her head with a certain amount of pride. Eversnow was a confident feline. "Same as the other day," Eversnow retorted, watching Sagepaw sniff at her coat. She flickered her tail dismissively. She knew the healer was just going her job but Eversnow had never be coddled and she wasn't going to start now. She was a warrior. "These kits are going to be healthy," she meowed, continuing her walk towards the fresh-kill pile figuring the young shecat would trail after her if it was important. "You don't have to fret," Eversnow meowed in a calm, smoothing tone. She had no worries whatsoever. She just couldn't wait to meet them. Eversnow never put much thought into motherhood. Having kits was never apart of her plan on her path to become the best warrior she could be. Maybe deputy was something she could possibly achieve in the future but kits? This was new and Eversnow couldn't help but be excited for the future. "I can't wait to meet you, my sweets," she purred softly to her kits.

Stormstar The dark furred warrior noted the shift in his companion, the discomfort at the answer he'd offered, potentially laced with a frustration that was all he had to provide in response. Stormstar twitched his ear back, better to be considered an idiot than a liar. Particularly given the state he'd left his clan in following the chaos of the evening before. If anything, the leader respected the shecat for her somewhat brutal honesty, though it would have taken a lot for the overly proud tom cat to admit it aloud to her. Had the circumstances been quite different, Stormstar might have chuckled, but instead he maintained a stoic silence for a heartbeat. Allowing her to finish, offering neither complaint nor protest to her rambling. If only one good think came of this conversation, it was that he saw the pretty shecat beside him in a quite different light. Even if it sprang from polite insults and frustration. "I've been thinking about this for a long time," Stormstar answered firmly. "If you think this is some hare-brained scheme of an immature leader, you are unfortunately mistaken in that regard. This is right for VergeClan, I am absolutely certain. But I cannot force the clan to accept that at face value." Dawnprowl On entrance into the den, aside from her careful manouvering around the den in order to not awake any of her clanmates. The shecat located her nest and slumped into its warmth with a sigh. Her aching body grateful for the soft welcome of the nest. Her eyes tight shut immediately, desperate for the embrace of sleep but finding the notion a fleeting one. No matter how she tried, sleep evaded her insistently. The calico looked up from where she had been futilely attempting to catch up on what little sleep she had garnered from her midnight adventures. Ears twitching in an attempt to pinpoint the source of the voice, which she quickly clarified as Ravenstrike. Her initial reaction was to lie, something that came as naturally as breathing to the shy natured Dawnprowl. But given the recent course of events, lying seemed out of place and unneeded. There was enough tension amidst the clan without adding to it without it being strictly necessary. But that realisation did little to help her figure out how best to answer the tom's kind enough question. Her nerves about ensuring she came across the right way leaving her hesitant and quiet. Nothing new nor astounding for the quiet Dawnprowl. "Tired," she admitted after a heartbeat. "I didn't want to stay in camp after everything that happened, I only just got back," her words were sheepish and laced with a quiet nervousness. .

I will be the first to admit it, my sleep schedule? Whack.
{Sagepaw}
The she-cat nodded, backing up a bit. She felt silly having messed with the Queen, she should have just approached her casually instead of treating her like a kit with an injury. She padded beside her for a bit more before stopping herself. "If you need anything, our den is always open Eversnow." She mewed, giving her a small smile. She didn't want her to feel like she couldn't go to the healer's den in fear they would treat her lesser than her status as a warrior and a queen. When she heard Eversnow mew to the kits a smirk played at her muzzle but she kept it down. At least she was excited for the bundles of joy to enter the clan, it was always a good thing when new life joined. It might even help ease some tension going on...or create more. She wasn't sure yet.
{Robinsplash} "Well I can only hope the clan comes to terms with it and you are more prepared for the days following." She mewed, sparing a glance to the warrior's den. "As for me thinking this is some harebrained idea of yours, you must not know me. I only think you should look at all aspects around you, evaluate every possible outcome before even uttering a plan aloud." She began to clean her face after she said this, licking her paw and drawing it over her muzzle in an attempt to free any spare dirt leftover. "Off the topic of your...announcements yesterday, I'm not your deputy but I think clan life should remain as normal as possible afterwards. As in, patrols should go out by now, don't you think?" She knew she sounded rude then but she really just wanted things to feel normal now. Give them a sense of a normal at least.

Stormstar "I will have a think about what you have said tonight," Stormstar replied firmly. On the lips of a different tom it might have sounded ingenuine or simply an attempt at saiting the worries of a clanmate with next to no intentions of actually following through with what had been said. But the black and white tom cat was someone who would always do his best to take into account the opinions and beliefs of others, even if he didn't personally agree with what they said. "And as always I appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you think." Admittedly the handsome leader was grateful for the change of topic, wishing for some degree of normality to return to day to day life, something the clan seemed to be in desperate need of. "Hmm, maybe I should replace {Insert Deputy Name} with yourself, you seem to be doing a more adapt job." Stormstar replied with a rumbling chuckle, he cast his gaze around the camp, which still seemed particularly empty. His clanmates seemingly hiding in their dens, though he doubted it was because of the particularly cold weather morning had brought them. "Where do you wish to go? And might I accompany you?" The thick furred leader queried with a twitch of his ears.

{Robinsplash} Her whiskers twitched at the mention of the leader joining her, she could feel the nerves hitting her as soon as the words were uttered. It wasn't just some Warrior she would be trying to outdo in her hunting today, it would be Stormstar himself. She brought herself to her paws finally after having finished her cleaning and beckoned him with her tail. "I was going to try my paw at hunting, probably in Landslide Grove. Being a leader hasn't dulled those claws of yours, right? I don't think I could handle you just tickling the prey instead of actually catching it." She teased lightly, feeling a bit out of her element. What if he did mess up? She would be left with no choice but to correct him, which wasn't something any warrior should be doing to their leader.
She would do it though, there's no doubt in her mind that she wouldn't hesitate to fix any wrong hunting stances he may have. She began to make her way to the camp's entrance, not worrying if he was following or not. The conversation could easily continue on their walk to the landslide.

Stormstar Grateful that he hadn’t been outright refused, patrolling with ones leader could be awkward at the best of times, but considering recent events he wouldn’t have blamed the shecat for signs of hesitation. In fairness the tom wouldn’t be certain exactly how he might have reacted had the tables been turned and their positions switched. Stormstar’s muscled frame relaxed some, though the change was barely noticeable, remaining his largely unreadable self. “I wouldn’t be much of a keader if I allowed my skills to get rusty,” his purr was accompanied by a soft chuckling sound. “I need to provide for the clan just as any warrior should.” He teased with an amused twitch if his whiskers. His chuckle converted to outright laughter at her tickle comment, the sound rumbling from deep in his chest. Straightening and following her gesture, content to follow for once rather than take the lead, quite the rarity nowadays. “But yes, the Landslide Grove sounds like a good choice,” he agreed before twitching his long plumed tail. “Please, lead the way,” he offered kindly.

{Robinsplash} She had no problem leading, matter of fact it felt natural for her to lead a patrol to the Grove. She glanced to him, wondering what there was they could talk about on the way there. She couldn't think of a lot at the moment, just the day before and the hunt ahead. Her mind was still racing after all of it but she agreed with him, it might be better for the clans in the long run but right now you could claw the tension. "I don't believe I went on patrols with you before you became a leader now that I think about it. This will mean it'll be more interesting for us, doesn't it?" She mused, it was always refreshing to see new faces beside her, along with the old. She also was grateful she was taking him out and not someone like Rowansong or Patchchaser, those two were enough of a pawful for a whole patrol let along just herself.

Stormstar Despite how irregular of an occurrence it was, the leader settled into the role of follower with ease. As though once again he was simply a warrior doing his duty for the clan and nothing else. If only it was as simple as to going back to the days where his only responsibilities were providing for the clan and defending his home against predators. A lot had changed since then, but little about his steadfast personality had. The events of the day before were something he’d been considering for so long, it felt like a weight had been removed from his shoulders now that he finally had said it. Only to be replaced with an even greater weight. but he wouldn’t break beneath it nor the pressure of his clan, he would die before he let that happen. Weaving down the familiar paths of the mountainside, he listened to the sounds of the world around him with a contented smile on his expression. This was his home, and no matter what happened he would always feel calmer in the wilds of the mountains. “I believe you are correct there,” he responded with a flick of his tail. “It’ll give me the chance to judge your hunting skills, see if you have any right to be challenging my choices as leader.” despite the seriousness of his words, his tone was entirely playful and teasing. No hint of malice to what he said.

Spiderwhisker blinked slowly at Dawnprowl, then sighed. "That's understandable," he said quietly, then continued even softer, "It's definitely a lot to take in." He tried to laugh a bit but it came out as a huff of air. He glanced back over at the she-cat. She really did look tired... both physically and spiritually. "You're not alone in how you feel, you know," he said, and was tempted to touch her shoulder with his tail tip but hesitated. He honestly felt like the Clan's inner peace was starting to fall apart, but there were so many cats that were already expressing that; he didn't want to look too down. Someone had to stay the same.

Dawnprowl The slender calico looked at her paws sheepishly, despite her denmates attempts at cheering her up it didn't rid the pretty warrior of her deepset feelings of guilt. She wanted to be a strong cat for the sake of her clan, but Dawnprowl was feeling weaker and helpless than a newborn kitten left to the mercy of the mountainside. And she hated it. "I get that everyone feels the same way," she admitted quietly, casting her gaze around camp with a soft sigh tugging free of her lips. "And yet I've never felt so alone," she chuckled attempting to sound humourous, but it fell flat and toneless. "No one's talking, and right now I feel like that's what we really need," she rested her head on her paws. "I just want everything to go back to normal."
