I have had this idea for a rp for a while now and thought i would just throw this out here and hope someone finds this rp interesting! This rp is kind of like rp a clan into existence but the cats were already clans days before they left their clan because of a blood thirsty leader. *shrugs*
Larkstar before his clan, his menacing golden eyes scanned the small tom before him. Smalltree, a runt of a warrior who Larkstar despised. But despite Larkstars size and glare Smalltree stood tall, his tail lashed back and forth and his green eyes sparked and fizzled as he stared at his leader. Larkstar was a harsh leader that had sent many of Smalltrees friends and family the their deaths just for a little bit of land or a small squabble over nothing. Smalltree was done and with his small group of cats who were also done with Larkstars treatment they stood before the beast. Smalltree spoke. "Larkstar." Smalltree started. "We are leaving." The small white and black tom stated loudly. "You have broken the warrior code over and over and we will not stand for this anymore, kits have died, elders forgotten and warriors sent off to their deaths for just a scrap of land." Smalltree's body began to shake with anger and he had to take a deep breath to calm himself. He opened his mouth to speak but Larkstar interrupted with a cackle. "You wont last five minute out there." He stated as he leaned forward his nose barley touching Smalltree's. "Go, we don't need you." He paused his golden eyes locking onto Smalltrees. "But if i catch you on my territory i will kill you." A crack of thunder shook the sky as it began to down pore. Smalltree took a step back and spat at Larkstars paws. "May Starclan have mercy on your soul Larkstar." With that Smalltree and his small band of cats headed for the entrance of the camp.
--- 5 moons later --- The sky was dull and the clouds that floated across the sky were light gray and threatening rain. Smalltree sat quietly staring up at the sky. He and his small group of cats had been roaming the lands for 5 moons now and they had not found a save place to camp out for leaf-bare. Smalltree's gaze flicked over to the small mack-shift camp that had made for the night. He sighed heavily. Starclan had not given any signs. Did they disagree with Smalltree leaving Hollowclan? Smalltree shook his head. No they wouldn't of. Larkstar was blood thirsty, a beast. Smalltree wrapped his tail around his front paws, his whiskers twitched as he thought quietly to himself.
Voleheart meekly watched Smalltree from his small nest, the rather jumpy tom could tell Smalltree was worried. But Voleheart was horrible with talking and he was afraid he would just make this worst. Voleheart's gaze flicked over to the rising sun, soon they would be on the move. Maybe that's when he should talk with Smalltree. Voleheart always talked better when he was walking. The brown tabby tom nodded softly to himself.
Ashpaw slept snuggled closely to her twin brother Mistpaw. The two small bundles of gray fur were curled under a thick bramble bush. A rather poky and sharp place to sleep but it kept the wind away. The twins were always together, they shared meals, nests, groomed each other and constantly chattered about all sorts of things. They rarely were seen apart.

Dustpetal stood stiffly in her nest, the scratch on her shoulder stinging as she placed weight on it. She sniffed at it, flattening her ears to her head. Its infected... she thought. She didn't want to slow down the group, especially now that they finally were away from Larkstar's terrorizing reign. But she feared at this point, she might have to stay behind. Shaking her head she tried to ignore the pain as she padded up towards Smalltree. Dustpetal sat down, making sure her bad shoulder was out of view. "Any signs Smalltree?" she asked quietly.
~~
Silvertuft grunted, padding back towards the makeshift camp with a rabbit in his jaws. He placed it on the small pile, flicking his ears as he saw the others. I wonder if i should take the apprentices out to gather fresh bedding. I'm not sure how much longer we'll be here. He shifted his paws, the stripes on his legs dark compared to the rest of him. Instead, he sat back and began to groom himself, looking over to Voleheart and dipping his head.

Smalltree's gaze flicked over to Dustpeltal then back at the dull gray sky. He sighed and shook his head, his whiskers twitching nervously. "I fear if we don't get anything soon you are good as dead." He whispered softly. Smalltree was usually a strong tom who would never show his fears but little a pesky beetle his worries were eating him alive.
Voleheart snapped out of thoughts as Silvertuft padded into the makeshift camp. "H-hello Silvertuft." Voleheart stuttered as he sat up in his nest. Voleheart was a bit larger than a normal tom cat but he was always so nervous. He would jump to a bird call. But the jumpy tom wasn't always like this. Something had happened when he was a apprentice that gave him a stutter and his jumpy personality. "N-nice catch." He added.

The pale tortiseshell cat let out a long sigh, closing her eyes. "Perhaps it would be best for me to stay behind Smalltree. The clan needs a new home...and i don't want to slow you down." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Her heart ached as she gazed across the land before her, her fur spiking in apprehension. But it would be for the best.
~~~
Silvertuft was a lean tom, already smaller than most of his clanmates. But next to Voleheart it seemed like he was even smaller. He gave Voleheart a smile, sitting down next to him, purring. "Thanks. Hopefully it will help some of the others." he mewed. His soft blue eyes looked at Voleheart's, chuckling. "I bet you could catch something even bigger with those paws of yours." Silvertuft mewed good naturedly.
Smalltree's ears flicked and his gaze once again flicked from the sky to fall onto the pale tortoiseshell she-cat. He huffed softly. He could smell the hot stench of infection on her and he had spotted the wound only that morning. "Im not leaving you." He paused his gaze flicking the small camp. "If we must we can walk slower, we had plenty of time before leaf-bare." He nudged Dustpetal softly trying to comfort her. "I know a little bit about herbs, i can check it if you want." He meowed softly.
Voleheart chuckled and looked down at his large paws, his amber eyes twinkled softly. "M-maybe, but i think y-your much better at hunting than me." Voleheart was a bit clumsy at times and had more than once stumbled on his own paws. He had been mocked more than once by his old clan mates for his clumsiness.
Dustpetal turned her face away feeling rather embarrassed. Without a medicine cat, they were having problems. She grumbled, mostly to herself and looked back to Smalltree, keeping her eyes downcast. "Thanks Smalltree. I would appreciate it." she meowed, flicking her fluffy tail back and forth.
~~~
Silvertuft jumped to his paws and shook his head. "Nonsense! My father was just as big as you, and he was the best hunter i knew." he meowed, his voice a littel wistful as he thought about his father. Pain pierced his heart like a thorn but her ignored it. "Once we find our new home, how about i teach you some of his old hunting moves?" he offered, curling his tail over his back.
~~~
Rainpaw lifted his head out of his nest, furrowing his brow in confusion. The lingering dream he had filled his mind and he blinked, trying to make sense of it. "Must have been the mouse i ate." he mumbled. He turned around, noticing his sleepy denmates and pordding them with a paw. "C'mon slow slugs. The clans already stirring."
Smalltree nodded softly, the group could not risk loosing another. They already lost Thinthorn and Amberstripe. The small white and black toms heart fell as he thought of his old friends. Smalltree pulled himself to his paws. "We should start waking everyone." He purred softly. "It looks like Silvertuft caught something and we still have some prey left over from yesterday." Smalltree's stomach grumbled as he thought of food. He could not think of the last time he ate.
Voleheart purred softly, "I w-would like that." He said softly. Suddenly his gaze flicked to Smalltree he was getting to his paws. "I-it looks like w-we are heading out s-soon." He meowed softly. Voleheart looked up at the sky. "I hope we d-dont have to walk the r-rain." He mumbled softly.
Ashpaw grummbled ash she was poked. "Just a little longer." She mumbled softly. Mistpaw grumbled something but he pulled himself to his paws and shook out his fur. "Are we leaving?" He asked Rainpaw. "I haven't gotten anything to eat yet." He added softly.
I'm tired..." Flintpaw groaned in her nest. The pretty she-cat was half-asleep, her eyes barely open. "Did somebody say something?" Flintpaw sat up and shook her head to clear it. Flintpaw felt a rush of wariness, and something cold was quivering in her stomach. Something didn't feel right. She felt... new. Maybe this was true pain. Maybe her senses were succumbing to the lonely, empty feeling she felt sometimes.
Kestrelwings was looking around the camp, hoping that there was someone to talk to. He was horribly thin from giving up his food to the apprentices, and now he started to feel dizzy at times. Will there be a mouse somewhere? He wondered and looked around. Empty. He sighed sadly and pawed at the ground. If he didn't eat for much longer, he would die. He was old, anyway. Who cared?
Larkpaw gazed around the camp as he sat within the rain, alone. He was the only surviving kit of Larkstar, the tyrant they had finally escaped. Despite coming with Smalltree when he left the clan, many were still scared of Larkpaw, who was the spitting image of the old leader. Having his same bracken colored tabby fur and golden eyes. To prove himself, the apprentice often didn't eat and would never take shelter from the elements, instead sitting rigid in even the worst storms if only to show he was different from his father, who had inevitably caused the death of his mother and siblings. --- Appleleaf padded into the makeshift camp with a small bit of golden yellow flowers in her jaws, her gaze quickly spotting her sister, Dustpetal, and padding over to the she-cat. "I remember marigold will help with infection and I found some close by. Let me put it on your wound." (I hope you don't mind Appleleaf being sisters with Dustpetal) --- Alone in a darkened alcove under an overhanging boulder lay a thin, silver marbled she-cat. Before, she was counted as one of the most beautiful she-cat's in the clan but now, she was only a shell of her former self. Moonlitgem and her mate, Blackthroat, were a part of the cats who had left the clan. A moon past now, Blackthroat had died and Moonlitgem had found she was with kit. A few days ago, something went wrong and the she-cat lost her kits, along with herself.
"Oh heck no!"Stonemole exclaimed as he reared out of the hazel bush.He had been looking for something for a few days and thought he found it until he poked it.Turned out to be fox dung.Sighing he turned to where the bulk of the group was staying,his tail dragging behind him.
"Rosemary,Thistledown,Marigold,and Chamomile."Splat ran through the plants in his head again and again and again until he was sure he'd start speaking them in his sleep.He wasn't going to let his memory fade,not while his new friend needed help.Her name was Flowergrouse.She said she lived with a group but was left to follow a smaller one.She said something about being lead by some monster and how the smaller group would be better.Shaking his head he streaked through the trees.
❉ ᴀᴍ ɪ ᴀ ᴊᴏᴋᴇ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏᴜ?- Rabbitpaw poked Flintpaw. "Its time to get up." He said quietly. The large gray and white tom looked a little nervous for some reason, but Rabbitpaw was always a bit nervous. "Do you want to share a mouse?" He added softly. Rabbitpaw never really wanted to leave Hollowclan. His father and mother had stayed so did his brother. But his mentor Thinthistle had nearly forced Rabbitpaw to come with Samlltree and now Thinthistle was death and Rabbitpaw was all alone.
3XP Sкеlетои- "You alright there Stonemole?" Swanstripe chuckled softly. The long hair and fluffy mostly white tom with a dark gray stripe that started from his nse and ended at his tail tip laid under a yew bush his tail swaying slightly. "I heard you yelp from all the way over there and im nearly deaf!" The older warrior added with a chuckle. Jekyll- "Hello Larkpaw!" A small voice called behind the young apprentice. A small mostly black kit stumbled over to the apprentice. This was little Beankit. One of the youngest cats in Smalltrees group. Beankit stumbled over to Larkpaw and dropped a sopping wet moss ball at his paws. "Do you want to play moss ball?" He questioned with a small tilt of his head. Beankit's mom usually told the young kit to stay away from Larkpaw but he never listened. He didn't really know why.
Larkpaw turned his golden gaze toward the kit, a small smile crossing his face when he noticed just who it was. "I would love to. I'm on look out through so I'll just be batting it toward you with one paw, that okay?" He lifted one of his tabby patterned paws as he spoke, prodding the ball of soaked moss lightly.
"That's fine!" He squeaked before bouncing back away from Larkpaw. His dull amber eyes locked on the wet moss ball. It had nearly took a day for the small kit to make the small ball of moss and he was ready to play a very long game of moss ball with it. He then left it out in the rain...by accident.
Larkpaw chuckled softly at the kit's enthusiasm and lifted his paw. The fur all along the tom's body was soaked through, clinging to his figure and showing just how thin he was from giving up his prey to the others in an attempt to prove himself. Despite this, he gave the moss ball a good strong hit, sending it flying over to Beankit, who was a small, wet bundle of enthusiasm.
Swanstripe chuckled softly. "We cant have kits screaming every time they get lost, i would go deaf." Swanstripe pulled himself to his paws. "Have you found what you have been looking for yet?" Swanstripe asked. He had noticed the other tom wondering around looking for something for the past few days.
Beankit giggled and tackled the wet ball of moss as it flew towards him. "Caught it!" He announced happily. Using his front paws Beankit pushed the moss ball back to Larkpaw. I thought suddenly came to the small kits mind. "Larkpaw why don't you hang out with the other apprentices?" He questioned softly.
Our old tyrant leader Larkstar, well he's my father. I was named for him and a lot of the others see him in me because, well, I look exactly like him. To prove myself and that I'm different I've been sitting out on guard everytime we start no matter if it storms or such, and I've been giving up my share of prey to others. I don't hang out with the other apprentices because they don't trust me. Actually, you;re the first cat I've spoken to in a few moons now. So thank you." He then tossed the moss ball back to the kit. (I have it where Larkpaw is about 11 moons old, almost old enough to be made into a warrior.)
It seemed the small kit was trying to come up with a answer. "I find it silly that everyone still doesn't trust you." Beankit paused to roll the moss ball under his paw. "I also find it silly that you have to try to prove yourself, your nothing like mean old Larkstar. Your smaller and much nicer and you came with us when we left." Beankit rolled the moss ball towards Larkpaw. "When you get your warrior name i hope Smalltree names you Larkshine." Beankit giggled softly.
