Shoalhopper ducked away from the warrior's den, shaking her head to loose a bramble caught to her ear. Turning on her haunches, she trotted towards the camp entrance with her tail arched over her back. Pausing before making her way out, the dun and copper warrior made a head count. Greywater and Ebonyblaze. Great! As Greywater walked passed her through the threshold, the corners of her mouth twitched in thought.
"Alright, lets go!" She said as she caught up to her elder sibling, tail raising in an attempt to look commanding. Blinking through the sunlight as rock shifted to pine, she sniffed the air purposefully. A musky scent tickled the back of her tongue. Oh, perfect! "How about deer? Lets set up a loop once we catch sight of them."
Shoalhopper made sure to make eye contact with each of her clanmates while speaking, feigning confidence as she practically recited her mentor's previous instruction from her apprentice-hood. Assess the strengths of the party- Ebonyblaze and I are fast, Greywater is strong but lacking stamina- check. She glanced at Greywater, almost as though she was asking if this strategy worked. "Ebonyblaze, you and I will flush them out, and if we have Greywater set up we can drive it to him. That way we'll a wolf to anchor it while we all take it down?"
--
Stagtail grinned ear to ear as he left camp with Willowstream, brushing up against her as they passed through the entrance. "Ha, could you imagine it?" The tom responded, gravelling his tone with his next quip," 'Stagtail, fastest swimmer of Waveclan.' " Pale green eyes glinting cheekily, the black furred warrior leaped on the outcrop of a boulder outside of camp. "Watch out fish, here I come!" Stagtail laughed, before sliding down the stone to keep to step with the silver she cat. As they shed further from camp, this egotistical wall he'd set up of himself muted. The tom enjoyed his time with Willowstream, and felt comfortable enough to act like himself- not that it was much different than before.

Ebonyblaze had gotten a bit distracted by a leaf blowing along the ground, watching where it landed, before he snapped out of it sightly, looking over at Shoalopper. "Uh, yeah, yeah, that sounds good. Uh... what was the plan again?", he asked after a second, looking sheepish. He didn't mean to be so hare-brained and easily distracted, but he just couldn't help himself. When he saw something moving, he always had to look at it, no matter what he was doing.
-
Willowstream laughed at Stagtail's dramatics, purring loudly. "I think the only thing the fish would be scared of was your horrible battle cry!", she laughed, walking right beside him after he slid back down off the rock, her fur brushing his, her tail waving happily. She found the tom's confidence amusing, as it usually meant he wasn't afraid to speak up and make jokes (though sometimes at inopportune times), but she enjoyed the times she got to spend with him, the two of them usually getting in trouble for talking too much when they were put on hunting patrols together.

As Shoalhopper happily repeated herself to Ebonyblaze, Greywater huffed quietly to himself. Parting his jaws in a yawn, the slate grey warrior turned and padded off into the pine trees. Shrouded by the backside of Robinstar's Peak, he scented the air and walked away with a flick of his tail and a simple "On it." Not the most talkative in the mornings, the mid-aged wolf was straight to the point.
Concealed in the undergrowth and shadows, Greywater's murky colouring was an added advantage. Measly dun markings on his face and legs, paired with a brindling of greyish markings and no flashy patches of white, he blended in well. Finding a spot he thought was about right, he lay down with his chin resting on the sandy flooring and kept an eye and ear out for Shoalhopper and Ebonyblaze.
--
Stagtail laughed, puffing out his chest with a feigned look of hurt crossing his face. Brushing under an overhanging tree branch the dark-furred tom shook out his stocky frame; sending a shower of pine thistles in every which direction. "Phah! Watch the trees quiver with fear at my mighty battle cry-" He repeated, gravelling his tone once again to sound mighty and 'intimidating." By now they neared Hunter's beach, the sandy expanse was visible between the pine tree trunks and undergrowth. Leaping before Willowstream could respond to his 'tree-attack' he launched towards the sound of lapping waves. Stocky as he was, Stagtail was moderately fast- though he paled in comparison to Willowstream. What he lacked in agility he made up in combat and 'grunt work.' Determined and competitive as ever, the black and copper toned tom wouldn't give up without atleast one race.
"Lets see how fast you really are, I forget!"

Ebonyblaze actually listened to Shoalhopper this time, nodding slightly at her plan, before he froze, looking towards the underbrush, before he dropped down, his ears pricked forward, having caught a much closer scent of deer on the air, just as there was movement near the edge of where they could see through the forest, a young buck walking through the trees, completely unaware of the wolves around him.
-
Willowstream squawked in surprise as she was showered in pine needles, before she bolted after him, laughing at his challenge, easily surpassing the copper-tailed tom, her paws throwing up sand as she streaked down to the water, leaping into the water when she reached the very edge of the shore, before she turned and shook her fur off, grinning over at him triumphantly. "Fast enough to beat you!", she purred triumphantly, her tail waving in victory, her eyes bright and sparkling as she purred.

Shoalhopper's swivelled in confusion as Ebonyblaze suddenly dropped into a crouching position. Following his gaze with her dark brown eyes, the dun and copper warrior spotted the lone buck as well. "Nice Ebonyblaze!" She whispered through her teeth, following suit; pale belly fur brushing the sandy earth as she cautiously stepped forward.
Her hunting on solid ground definitely surpassed her 'fishing abilities.' Skirting through the undergrowth Shoalhopper took care in staying just out of sight. She tried to angle herself so that even if she was spotted, it would hopefully run straight away from her...and towards where Greywater was set up. The deer's vision was mainly to the sides, she remembered from her mentor, stay behind it. Pausing with one paw raised, she glanced back at Ebonyblaze and waited until she caught his attention. She then cocked her head to the side and motioned for him to flank the other side of the deer. Don't be bossy Shoalhopper, geeze. You're starting to sound like Greywater. As they neared the buck it abruptly stopped, chewing as it looked around.
Here's our chance... Leaping out of the undergrowth, Shoalhopper sent up a flurry of broken twigs leaves as she shoved her way through, ignoring the snagging of her coat. It bleated in surprise and fled in the opposite direction. --
Stagtail felt a rush of air as Willowstream overtook him, sending up a rooster tail of sand as he skidded on his paws. As the dust and debris settled, the dark furred tom blinked out his pale green eyes. Phuh, noted. He thought to himself, impressed and quickly recovering from a slightly bruised ego. Shaking out the sand from his pelt, the warrior's fur momentarily puffed up before settling- adding to his previous dishevelment.
"Alright alright, I know when I've been put in my place." Stagtail chuckled, trotting after the silver she cat who was still a foxlength ahead of him. Copper tail angled so that the crook in it lay across his back he scanned the beach with a feigned look of determination. Green eyes glinting cheekily, he wiggled his shoulder-blades as though he was readying to pounce into the waters. "Since you and I are pretty well matched in speed," He quipped, dipping his head near hers with the complement before scouting out the shallows hungrily, "these fish don't stand a chance!"

Fernwhisper yawned widely as she lifted her head from her nest. The soothing scent of the Healer's den filtered through her mind as she finally cracked open her eyes to glance around herself in the pale, early morning sun. The sight of the only other nest in the den made her heart warm. It was strange, no longer being an Apprentice under Stormsight. Even now, nearly a full year after earning her name, she still sometimes found herself glancing around for him in a tricky situation even if she already knew exactly what to do.
Huffing at her own foolishness, Fernwhisper got to her paws. The lanky female stretched languidly, almost wishing she could purr with the feeling of her muscles letting go of the night's tension. As her maw split open in another yawn, Fernwhisper shook out her short silver-white coat and padded forward, emerging into the remnants of morning fog that lingered, not yet chased away by the rising sun. She paused, closing her eyes and luxuriating in the feeling of the morning breeze ruffling her fur, before sitting down and beginning to groom her fur. Her duties would begin soon enough and she would like to be at least presentable before she had to attend them.

Ebonyblaze grinned slightly at the praise, before he slowly crept forward, sticking to the shadows under some of the darker bushes, his pelt blending right in, easily making it around to the other side of the deer. While he could be easily distracted, he was a very focused hunter, having taught himself at a young age to excel at hunting, as he had wanted to live up to his mother's legacy as a spectacular hunter. He stayed in the undergrowth until Shoalhopper sprung out of the bushes, springing out at the same time, chasing the deer straight towards Greywater, but made sure not to put all his energy into the chase, knowing they'd have to help take the deer down as well. - Willowstream just grinned at where she stood paws deep in the water, her tail waving in amusement. purring softly at his antics, before she too started surveying the shallows, pricking her ears forward to listen for any sounds of fish fins breaking the surface, blue eyes scanning the rocks and sand under the water for any signs of movement or flashes of scales, her tail and body going still so she didn't alert any of the fish, almost looking like a rock herself, she was so still, her fur, and the drops of water sticking to it, sparkling in the moving sunlight reflecting off the water. Stormsight had been curled up, fast asleep, before his ear flicked at the sound of Fernwhisper's yawn, raising his head just in time to feel the soft waft of air from her passing by, and heard the soft brush of her fur against the rock that formed the entrance to the den, before he as well stood up, stretching slightly, grumbling ever so slightly at the feeling of his joints popping a bit, the damp morning air never failing to cause his joints to complain, his tail flicking irritably, as he started nosing along his fur, smoothing down any patches he could feel were unkempt, pulling out any moss as well. While his fur was always a bit dull, a product of being unable to see his fur to wash it, he at least tried to keep it flattened down and somewhat nice looking, not wanting to be walking around scruffy looking for his Clanmates to see. Hearing the trumming of hooves Greywater hefted himself up and skulked through the undergrowth. Three pronged antlers skimmed above the low hanging branches obstructing his view. As it grew closer, the slate grey wolf readied himself for the impending impact.
The buck fled erratically as it tried to lose the two wolves pursuing it, now in full view as it rounded a bend. Shoalhopper did her best to herd it towards him, bolting left and right to forcibly direct it's route. The copper and dun warrior's breathing fell into a steady rhythm, but she was prone to over committing and burning out... Greywater could now see Ebonyblaze keeping an even pace on the flank of the buck, and that his younger sister was right at it's tail- with caution of kicking distance. Good. The split hooves of the deer were sharp, as where it's pronged antlers- they had to be wary of impalement. By now he could see the details of it's face.
Lunging out of the undergrowth, Greywater anchored himself directly in it's path. The buck skidded to a stop in surprise, giving him an opening as it became unbalanced. Lips pulled back in a snarl, the larger warrior then sprung forward and aimed for it's throat. Missing his mark, but still biting onto something, he snagged the fleshy spot between the buck's neck and chest as they both went down. All he really used was his weight against it, which paled in comparison but worked none the less. Not as fast as the other two, Greywater was more of a brute than agile hunter. You don't need skill to knock something over, but he'd sure feel this in the morning. Grappling with the buck as it started to right itself, the wolf re-adjusted his grip and sunk his teeth into another hunk of muscle. The element of surprise worked wonders but was starting to wear off.

Fernwhisper's ear rotated, flicking back towards the Den she had just emerged from. Her head followed it, a small smile lighting up her face as she watched the grey tabby. "Good morning, Stormsight," She yipped quietly, tail wagging slowly at her quiet contentment, "I hope I didn't wake you." She knew it was more than likely that she had. Despite his blindness, Stormsight was difficult to sneak around. Fernwhisper gave her fur a couple more swipes with her tongue, neatly settling the last few stray wisps of fur into place as she eyed her old Mentor's fur. There was part of her that had always wanted to offer to groom it for him, but she was scared of offending the tom that she looked up to. Huffing away the thought, Ferwhisper shook her head and rolled her shoulders to relax the tension that had briefly settled there. "I was going to go check on Snowflower and Brightdapple," She remarked softly, eyeing the nearby Nursery, "Snowflower's pups seem to be doing well and growing strong, and Brightdapple should kit any day now." Checking on the Queens was always her favourite job. While she had no desire for a mate or kits of her own, she loved interacting with them, not to mention the pride at helping to bring new life into the Clan. "Would you come along?" She asked, tilting her head inquisitively, "I'd like a second opinion on Brightdapple. My paws are a bit too big to feel the kits properly." (( runningsky123))

Snowflower awoke with a sleepy yawn, blinking at the soft sunlight that was beginning to filter into the nursery. She looked down at her pups and, noticing that they were all still asleep, laid her head back down and tried to chase after the last tendrils of sleep.
After a while it became clear that she was awake for good. Not wanting to wake her pups, Snowflower looked over to Brightdapple's nest, wondering if the other queen was still asleep.

Scrambling out of the Elder's Den with a bundle of soiled bedding held in her teeth, Boapaw felt exasperated. She sure looked the part too; with cow-licked fur more dishevelled than usual, whiskers curled erratically, and sprigs of moss stowing away on her pelt. Triumphantly ridding the den of it's last bundle of soiled bedding, she chased after the left over pieces of fresh moss. Collected, compacted and pressed down to how she had found it, Boapaw allowed herself to flop onto the camp floor. Grey paws scuffing the sandy flooring as she rolled onto her back, she rid herself of the residual pieces of clean moss. Once content, Boapaw gave her fur a few quick licks to set it flat, and straightened her whiskers with a paw swipe.
Lifting up onto her paws the apprentice set out to find her mentor. Greenish-yellow eyes scanning camp, she noticed him leaving camp without her. Flustered, the grey and orange speckled she cat went to chase after him- falling short when she realized it was Foamsnap, not him. Rats. Webstep, where are you? Boapaw turned in a circle and trotted back to the mouth of the Elder's Den, ears plateauing. She cocked her head to the side as a last resort, seeing if she could at least hear him with her good ear. Instead she spotted Webstep's sister Shellsplash and Racoonpaw skulking behind her. Boapaw blinked happily when she recognised another apprentice, but held back in fear of over stepping.

Ebonyblaze kept easy pace with the deer's flank, careful not to run too fast or too hard so he didn't burn himself out, giving it a nip every now and then to redirect it, but always falling back enough to avoid getting kicked. When Greywater lunged out at it, he jumped back to avoid being hit by the buck's flailing antlers as it fell, before he lunged forward, grabbing its back leg right above the bend, biting down and snapping his head to the side, a trick his mentor had taught him, effectively severing the tendons in the deer's leg, so if it did manage to escape, it would be severely hampered in its running ability, if it was able to run at all. After that, he just held on, as he knew Greywater was stronger than he was, and much more capable of being able to give a killing bite to the deer quicker than Ebonyblaze. He glanced over at Shoalhopper, panting slightly as he held onto the deer's leg, having to bite down and move his head as the deer tried to move it's leg, not letting it go, his tail waving slightly in triumph, glad that they were able to bring the deer down. "You did.", Stormsight said, though he didn't sound irritated as he finished nosing along his fur, before he washed his paw and dragged it over his face a few times, his tail waving slowly. "But it's about time I got up anyway, so no harm, no foul.", he said, before he stood up, sniffing the air slightly as she spoke, listening to her plan. "I was planning on doing that myself, so that sounds like a good plan.", he said, turning his head towards where he could hear the faint whine of the sleeping pups and the smell of milk from Snowflower. "I'll let you lead.", he said. While they were equals now when it came to being healers, he still liked to let Fernwhisper take the lead on things she hadn't done all that much before, as she could use the practice, as he knew she still got nervous sometimes dealing with circumstances she hadn't faced. "Lead the way.", he mewed. While he knew the camp's layout by heart from when he had been a warrior, he still liked the security of someone in front of him to make sure he didn't trip on a wayward stick or rock. (( Lycaonia))

Whiskers brushing the surface, Stagtail searched the shallows for the glint of reflective scales. The tom glowered, his stilled tail daring to twitch. Nothing worth while. Minnows scattered out of reach, inching inquisitively closer before darting away. The little fish, no longer than his claw, where transfixed by his dark fur as it followed the movement of the waves. However, the slightest movement startled them, even his shadow made them flee. Stagtail placed his other paw into the water and turned to Willowstream, his pale green eyes blinking away sand.
"Want to try for frogs?" He offered, the reddish tint to his fur flattened into a ruddy black from where the water touched it. Water droplets arked from Stagtail's whiskers as he waded to the shallows, shaking out each paw in turn as he climbed back onto the banks. Tail fluffing out as he arched it over his back, the stocky tom shook his pelt like one of his wolf clan-mates. A cheeky expression painted his face as his gaze followed the shoreline to the cat-tails on it's perimeter.

A happy half-growl rumbled in Fernwhisper's chest as she got to her paws. She padded easily over to Stormsight and past him towards the Nursery, letting her tail drop low to brush against his shoulder in a silent thank you. It took only few heartbeats for her to traverse the distance to the Nursery and her tail wagged happily as she looked inside to find her cousin already awake. She spared a glance or the peacefully sleeping Brightdapple still curled up in her net, before moving to greet Snowflower. "Good morning," She huffed quietly, sniffing politely at the slightly younger she-wolf as her maw cracked in a pleased grin, "How are you feeling today, Snowflower? Did you sleep well?" She tried to keep her voice down, but she heard Brightdapple shifting in her nest, stretching out to open one bleary eye and watch them. (( runningsky123, SmugGull))

Snowflower yipped a soft greeting to Fernwhisper as the healer stepped into the nursery. "Just fine, thank you," she replied. "And yourself?"
She looked behind Fernwhisper as Stormsight stepped into the nursery. "Hello, Stormsight. It's nice to see you." Truthfully, Snowflower was a little wary of Stormsight - mostly because she was worried she'd accidentally step on him. But the pups were already much larger than Stormsight and some of them hadn't yet learned the "play gently" lesson.

Stormsight followed Fernwhisper's tail, until he felt the familiar change of the ground from the camp to the nursery, sweeping his tail against the ground slightly as he walked inside, his ears angling away from the squeals and warbles, both asleep and not, as it was quite loud to his well-attuned hearing, dipping his head in Snowflower's direction, but other than that stayed silent as he crossed across the den to the slowly waking up Brightdapple, lowering his head to sniff at her slightly as he approached. "How are you feeling today, Brightdapple?", he asked, making sure she was awake before he started to nose along the fur at the top of her back, his way of looking cats over, using his sense of smell as well as feeling with his nose for anything off or out of the ordinary, his tail slowly sweeping along the ground slightly, his tail tip flicking slightly. Willowstream at first hadn't moved when he had spoken, staring intently down at the water, before she suddenly lunged forward, thrusting her head down into the water, before she popped back up, a small, but sizable enough fish clamped between her jaws, her tail flicking back and forth happily. While she had succeeded in scaring away all the minnows, and any potentially larger fish nearby, she was still happy with her catch, and she knew the frogs would still be in the marsh for them to catch. She trotted out of the water, her tail held high in triumph, grinning slightly around the fish as she walked up the shore to a bush, dropping the fish down and killing it quickly, before she nudged it under some moss to stay out of the sun while they looked for frogs, the mist having already burned away from the beach many hours before. She trotted past Stagtail after she covered her fish up, rubbing herself against his side every so slightly, flicking her tail against his back slightly, before she led the way towards the cattails. Jaw agape, Stagtail watched as Willowstream triumphantly left the shallows with a fish in her teeth. It's scales reflected light as it writhed, droplets of water cascading, and stilled as the silver warrior dispatched it. Stagtail's mouth shut as Willowstream brushed against him, and he sheepishly touched his muzzle to her forehead in apology. Clicking his teeth, the tom felt his ears burn. Impatience was one of the few flaws that he couldn't keep hidden beneath the surface.
"Nice catch! Now give me a minute to redeem myself." Stagtail purred, his tone ringing with light sarcasm. For all his quips and backhand comments, he was able to laugh at himself when he deserved it. Brushing shoulders with the pretty silver she-cat, the dark furred tom allowed his tail to entwine hers for a heartbeat before he moved away in search of prey. Reaching the marshy outcrops of Hunter's Beach Stagtail passed through the sparse foliage, cat-tails quivering. Skulking slowly through the shallow, murky water, the warrior placed each paw cautiously. Disappearing into the cat-tails, a series of splashes relented with Stagtail leaping out of the marsh with a hefty leopard bullfrog hanging from a leg in his jaws. Grinning ear to ear with a cheeky glint in his eyes, the tom's tail hooked over his back triumphantly. A splatter of wet sand speckled his face and chest fur as he plopped himself beside Willowstream with a smile.

Shoalhopper leaped back as the buck fell backwards, it's antlers hitting the ground with a jarring impact. Skimming the side of the deer, she narrowly avoided the animal's writhing hooves as she tried to find a hold. Jumping up onto it's flank, she snagged her teeth into the fleshy ligament between it's cheek and throat- only to ricochet off it's side as the buck lurched onto it's knees. Landing on the croup of her back she rolled into the foliage, scrambled back onto her paws, and shook of the impact. Mouse-dung! As Greywater lunged and sunk his teeth into the buck's foreleg, Shoalhopper rebounded as quickly as she could. The larger grey wolf ripped his head to the side, anchored his hind legs and gave his best effort to pull. Hearing the snap of a tendon the dun and copper warrior rounded the deer's haunches and tried again.
It was bleating now, eyes rolling with the whites showed like crescents. Scraping it's antler's through the underbrush, the deer's front end lurched as it tried to free it's legs. Shoalhopper then lunged forwards, teeth agape, and snapped down onto the buck's nose. Feeling the crunch of it's nasal cavity, the dusty grey wolf held her position by propping herself up on it's neck. As it continued to writhe, she adjusted her grip as Greywater released his and dispatched it.

Willowstream looked quite pleased with herself, though she purred in amusement at Stagtail's words, flicking her ears slightly in a sort of dismissal way. "Thanks.", she purred softly. "Though if I hadn't seen it right before you said something, I probably would have suggested we go after the frogs as well.", she said, before she watched him trot off into the marsh, just sitting and using the time to wash the fish scales off her face, pausing and glancing up slightly when she heard the sound of splashing and the cattails rustling, purring at the sight of the frog in his jaws. "Good catch.", she said, waving her tail slightly as he walked over to sit down. "I definitely more prefer catching fish to frogs, I'm not very good at making sure they don't jump.", she said, before she stepped forward slightly, washing a bit of the wet sand off his muzzle with a gentle purr. - Ebonyblaze held tightly onto the deer's leg even as it tried to get onto it's feet, hearing the sharp bleat it gave when the leg he was holding onto (and had crippled) moved. He tried to pin his ears down against the noise, and was glad when Shoalhopper and Greywater finally dispatched it, feeling the deer go limp, waiting a few moments before he released it, giving quick thanks to the animal for it's life. While he had never been one to like the act of killing an animal, he knew it wouldn't go to waste, and a deer of this size would provide a good meal for the wolves around camp for at least a few days. He stepped back from the deer, shaking his pelt out slightly, having ripped out a few chunks of fur on branches as he had been running, but otherwise was fine, looking between Shoalhopper and Greywater to make sure neither of them had any injuries, wagging his tail slightly at the fact that they'd be able to bring back such a good meal, especially with Snowflower and her pups back at camp. ((Migraines are awful, sorry for the wait XP)) "I'm doing just fine," Fernwhisper replied as she shifted around to gaze at the pups. Her eyes were soft and warm as she looked at her youngest kin, huffing a few gentle breaths over them as she tried to take in as much of their scent as possible. "Their scents are good," She murmured softly, trying her best not to wake the small bundles as she glanced back at Snowflower. A slight hum echoed in her throat as she considered the pup development she had been taught. "So their eyes should be changing colour soon," She remarked, grinning at her cousin, "If they're going to of course. And how are they eating? They're fully weaned now right? How's their appetite?" ((Random number generator says three kits by the way XD)) Brightdapple huffed, pushing herself up and grumbling slightly as she tried to shift around into a comfortable position. "I'd be a lot better," She sighed, flopping back into her nest and just letting Stormsight check her over from where she lay on her side, "If these kits would get a move on." She grumped silently for a few moments, before her general good nature began to overtake the tiredness that had settled over her. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep these days and she had begun just napping constantly whenever the kits inside her stopped wriggling around and kicking at her bladder. Shaking her head, Brightdapple took a couple of deep breaths, allowing the familiar Clan scent to wash over her. "I'm not as hungry lately," She admitted, tail twitching slightly, "And I've been... nervous. The kits seem to be getting more active by the day." The statement was punctuated by a twitch and a wince as a particularly uncomfortable kick came from inside her. Sometimes it felt like she had a whole Clan wriggling about in her stomach, something that had made Fernwhisper laugh as she expressed the sentiment during check up yesterday. (( runningsky123))

Stormsight hummed softly as she spoke, listening to her even as he continued nosing along her fur, stopping when he got to her belly, before he laid a paw gently down, pushing down slightly so he could feel the kits, staying that way for a few moments, before he sat back slightly. "Well, they definitely aren't going to be coming in the next day or so, they're a bit too far back.", he said. "But I suspect they'll be hear and making a fuss within the quarter-moon.", he said. "Just keep eating at least a medium sized fish a day, and make sure to be drinking even if it takes a little longer to get there.", he said. "I'll probably have you start with some borage in a few days, so there will be enough milk once they're here.", he said. (( Lycaonia))

Snowflower rumbled in amusement, her eyes lightning up - she was always happy to talk about her pups to anyone who would listen. "They're doing wonderfully. Dew is as quiet as ever, but the rest of them more than make up for it, I promise you that - appetites like badgers, each and every one."
Almost as if on cue, one of the pups - the biggest, a dark-furred bundle of adventure - yawned extensively, his eyes blinking open. "Hi," he yipped softly, peering blearily up at Fernwhisper.

Brightdapple huffed, flopping her head down dramatically. Still, she couldn't help the warm smile that spread itself over her features as the thought of her kits soon being by her side permeated her sleep-deprived mind. "That's good to know," She hummed, before a wide yawn broke over her. Shaking her head, the Queen pushed herself back up a little, glancing over at Stormsight. "Still, I'll be glad when they finally get here," She admitted softly as she pressed her nose to her stomach. At this point she could even feel the kits moving from the outside and a deep purr rumbled from her chest. "I wonder what you're like," Brightdapple whispered to herself, eyes drifting half-shut. How many kits were in there, would any of them look like her? Perhaps she would be lucky enough to be able to name one after her mother? A small, disbelieving laugh made it's way through her lips as she turned a bright grin to Stormsight. "Thank you, Stormsight," She purred warmly, "Is there anything else I should know? Or should be doing before the kits come?" (( runningsky123))

"That's wonderful to hear," Fernwhisper replied enthusiastically. The pups having a good appetite was a very good sign that they were doing well. Many pup illnesses started with a drop in appetite, so it tended to be a big warning sign. "Let us know straight away if that changes," She continued briskly, her tone gentle but firm, "And make sure you eat well too. Your milk should be drying up completely within the quarter-moon if it hasn't already, so let me know if it doesn't and we can get you some Parsley to speed it up." A small voice caught her attention then and her head swung in the direction, ears perking up. Her tail wagged slowly as she bent down, eyes warm and soft. "Well, hello there," She murmured, smiling at the young pup, "Good morning little one, did we wake you?" (( SmugGull))
