So this was a fairly popular rp way back when on the old forums buuuuuut I lost the majority of it when they were shut down and have sense gotten a new laptop so I lost a good chunk of the work on top of it. I think I made this in 2015? 2016? I don't know. I did start writing a book on it too since I loved the idea so much, is that weird? I'm now on book 2 xD ANYWAY. Basically I want to start this up again but I'll be changing it a bit. Originally there were people who had a special bond with magical/elemental creatures and they were rare and more than likely hunted down when found out since the majority of the population were scared of them. The people themselves had limited magically ability if any at all. I kinda want to change that to where they have elemental magic and knock out the creatures entirely to make it simpler overall, or if you think the original idea is good then we can stick with that - either way is fine with me. My goal is to have a good chunk of this done before Wednesday since I'm going to the beach for the weekend soooooo we'll see how this goes xD ---- There are three kingdoms: Dunwulfe, Eredia, and Alaythia. Each had it's own royal family, nobles, rouges, servents, palace guards, etc.. Dunwulfe is located far north in the mountains, the least friendly out of the three. The palace was built and carved into the mountains themselves and is all made of stone and iron. They specialized in mining and most of their food was either hunted with dogs or traded for (ex. most fruits and veggies they would need to trade/buy from the other kingdoms). They're the most prideful and richest of the three kingdoms due to their vast amount of gold and other precious metals. Eredia's territory started at the base of the mountains and has very few forest areas, most of it is made up along the rolling plains. They're the peaceful mediators of the three and specialize in farming and trading crops. Most prefer to lead simple lives but there are those who choose to live in the largest manors and own a vast amount of property, also giving them more than enough families to work for them. There is a bit of forested area separating Eredia and Alaythia, although the Alaythian people claimed it as their own long ago. Their territory is made up of dense forests and the coastline that meet the sea. They are known for logging, fishing, and even glass making. Here you will find a large marketplace with various merchants from each kingdom, making it one of the most populated kingdoms of the three. Many move here or simply visit to sell their wares and take in the beauty of the area. --- As far as the Elementalist go I don't want everyone to be able to have a power, including those in the royal families. I still want them to be feared by the people and scared into hiding, so no matter what the character's status shouldn't be flauting around their power without a reason (ex. a dunwulfe prince/king ruling by fear). I only want 1-2 characters in each royal family to have a power/type, and only one. It's sort of a heriditary thing but it skips generations, so someone may have powers but they might be the first in 100 years to have a power in their family - so it's rare. I figured we'd have a list of the elements/magic types but everyone try to have something different and unique to them to have a little variety. They'll be minor powers, nothing to cause a bunch of godmodding, and I really want everyone to have one skill/power in particular. For example one of my characters is able to control the weather, but a lot of the time it simply changes with her mood if she is super worked up and she doesn't always have total control over it. Does that make sense? I'm trying to find the best way to explain it in my half awake state xD Basic Elements we can throw around power ideas for: Fire Water Air/Weather Earth Light Shadow Ice Energy --- The main plot line was Dunwulfe and Alaythia would (eventually) go to war for whatever reason leaving Eredia in the middle, making their people either split and pick sides or try and be the middleman. There were a bunch of mini plots too that all tied into the war thing somehow, one of the main ones being a Dunwulfe prince coming in disguise to spy on the Alaythian royal family that I would honestly still love to include and rp. The members could make up their own plots to rp with others, so long as it was approved first. -- Royal Families: Feel free to claim a prince/princess if you want but try to only have one to make it fair to others. The Kings/Queens won't be seen much unless someone wants to rp them, if not we'll use them as needed. If you want a King/Queen and a prince/princess that's fine. Nobles I'll allow a max of 2 so they don't flood the rp, we need some common folk too. There once was a time of royalty, ranks, and kingdoms. A time with creatures, knights, and magic. From the king and queen to their workers and the peasants, there were people of all sorts. There were those who had magic and those that did not. No two possess the same level of power or control, and yet they were feared all the same. For thousands of years those who were abnormal have been hunted down for their talents, seen as enemies to the realm and nothing more. And yet, despite all the differences of long ago, people were still people and life was still life.
It is in this time we find three kingdoms; Dunwulfe, Eredia, and Alaythia. The Kingdom of Dunwulfe is a proud bunch. Located among the mountains north of the other two realms they are miners, able to drown themselves in the most mineral riches around. The royal palace is built into the mountains themselves, full of dark halls that twist and turn and often cause visitors to become lost quite easliy. Of the three nations, they are considered the richest and greediest nation; people tell stories of hearts that care not of others, but of jewels and status. Of course, those who live in Dunwulfe would call them all jealous liars.
Going south we find the Kingdom of Eredia. Here is the land filled with plains, hills, and many fields for farming. The royal palace is a beautiful place; it's stone spiraling towers over look not only the small village nearby but its residents are able to watch the sun rise and fall over the rolling plains from any vantage point they choose. There is no doubt that they are seen as hard workers, as most of the people who live in this kingdom are farmers living off the land. They’re a mild-mannered bunch, less prone to the arrogance of riches, yet due to their prosperity it is easy for this kingdom to think of itself above the others. After all, aren't they the only ones who could survive on their own?
Lastly, we come to the Kingdom of Alaythia. Located along the southeast coast they live between the ocean and forest, giving them an endless amount of valuable resources at the palm of their hand. It shows as well, as their source of fame is importing and trade, fishing, timber, and even glass making. The royal palace is located only a few miles inland overlooking the waves. It is built out of a sturdy type of stone that has stood for hundreds of years against the roughest of waters and it does not appear to be weakening any time soon. The beautiful scenery makes this one of the most desired realms of the three, its villages always overflowing with visiting nobles and commonfolk alike. Their ports give them the easiest access to the rest of the world and they have best status among the three realms. Even if others say that they are prone to lies and corruption, surely their fame and popularity makes this the best kingdom of the three.
Each of the three nations hold firm in the belief that they are the best, blind to their own faults. It won't be long before trouble starts brewing, for nothing can be at peace forever. Will you join Dunwulfe, the miners who long for more riches? Or maybe Eredia- the farmers who think rather highly of themselves? Maybe your place is in Alaythia, the most famous of the three and proud to a fault?
Wherever you find yourself, whatever your rank is; remember that you are bound by blood and clinging to honor.

The Plots Main Plot: Dunwulfe and Alaythia have always had a rocky history, often leaving Eredia stuck in the middle of their fueds. Both believe they are the strongest kingdom of the three, always trying to find some way to over power the other once and for all. Eventually this small fued leads to an all out war between the three nations almost tearing them apart. With Dunwulfe and Alaythia going at each others throats, Eredia is once again caught in the crossfire as the war burns across the land. The people are left with an important decision to make: choose a side to fight for, attempt to make peace between the two countries, or sit back and watch as their homes and lives are destroyed. Please note that the kingdoms aren't at war just yet! Everything is... mostly peaceful for the time being. Mini Plot 1: Leading up to the war a Prince of Dunwulfe is sent to Alaythia to spy on the royal family and discover their secrets. He is sent undercover and must wear his disguise at all times or else risk being caught and executed by the hand of the King. He has been ordered to use whatever means necessary to get close to at least one member of the royal family and learn all that he possibly can in order to use this information against them later on. He comes to meet Princess ____ of Alaythia by some stroke of luck? Fate? Who knows. She is hesitant at first but eventually warms up to the strange young man and they begin spending most of their time together. Will this end up happily ever after? Will she discover his true identity? Will he back out of his original plan and choose to stay in Alaythia rather than go home? Will he use her trust to destroy her family? Only time will tell.

How to Join• Keep all forms on the joining page. Throwing around new character and plot ideas on the main page is fine, I just don't want the rp to be cluttered with a bunch of forms. • Keep in mind your character's rank. Servants and those less fortunante won't be adorned in tons of jewelry, and most nobles and royals will be dressed rather elaborately and always make an attempt to look their best. • Please only have a max of one or two members of the royal families in order to give others the opportunity to claim them. Having an heir and a ruler is the only way you will be allowed two royal characters, other than that please stick to one royal character only. Please see the avalibility list below if you would like to see who has not been claimed. • There is a limit of two magical characters per royal family. Yes they are royal and rule the kingdoms, but lets not give them too much power okay? Each family knows who has powers within their respective homes, but in most cases it needs to be kept secret from the rest of the world. Powers can be a great advantage in the war to come if they are able to catch their enemies by surprise. • You are allowed a max of two characters with magical powers. Those with magical abilities are meant to be few and far between, some of them in hiding since they're feared by most of the people in the realm and often hunted down for their talents. I don't want this rp flooding with magical characters so if I need to I will eventually set a general cap number, but for now I won't. If you use a power from the list provided please make sure to put the name on your form so I can mark it as claimed, and remember you are only allowed one power. • Make at least one character that doesn't have powers. It's simple, just have at least one plain-jane character and we won't have an issue. This goes along with the previous reminder, just to make sure people join with only magic users and I can monitor how many we have in the rp. I'm hoping to have a relatively even number of normies-to-magics but I know it won't last long. Normies are fun to rp too and they're greatly needed for the storyline to progress, more so than magic users, so please keep that in mind when joining. • You are allowed one Noble. Simple enough, this is just a reminder that you are allowed one noble even if you already have royalty - I don't mind. They can have a magical ability but lets not have them flooding the rp. Eventually I will set a limit on how many can have powers, but for now I will leave it be and quietly monitor it. • LGBTQ+ Characters are welcome here. Discrimmination and hateful comments will not be tolerated so if you have an issue with this then please leave now. I will not tolerate any bullying of any kind. • I'm not going to set an age limit on characters, but the eldest son of the royal family will be the heir to the throne. The only exception to this is the Princess of Dunwulfe for plot reasons, the other two kingdoms remain the same.
Name, first and last • Age • Gender • Kingdom they currently reside in • Rank/Job (maid, nobleman, palace guard/knight, prince, etc.) • • Power if any; If it's not on the given list please state the name, what element it falls under, and a brief description. If it is on the list just state the name so I can mark it off for you • Physical Appearance Personality History/Background Other - anything you want to add such as hobbies, sexuality, random quirks, struggles with their power, etc. x • x • x ( ^ use these x's to add in character references/face claims if you'd like ^ ) roleplayed by [ Screen Name ] Character Availability Here is a list of the available royalty characters. Only two royals with powers are allowed in each kingdom and as of right now I will not be adding extra spots, so it's first come first serve. RP Rules
• Be kind and inclusive. Characters can be jerks, but out of character, be accepting of all members, whatever their gender, sexuality, political affiliation, etc. Discrimination of any sort is not tolerated at all. If you see anyone struggling or feeling left out, give them a hand!• No bad-spirited RPing. That is roleplaying with the intent to diminish another person's enjoyment of the game. This includes, but is not limited to: hijacking their current plot, powerplaying, force shipping, having your character be uncharacteristically mean to theirs, or just disregarding their wishes for their character in general. No perfect characters like Mary or Gary Sues, no one likes them. • Roleplay with a purpose. This is in place of your usual literacy rule. There's no minimum number of lines just try your best to keep the roleplay moving and give your partner something to respond to. Whether you achieve this with three paragraphs or three lines is up to you. All I ask is you use proper grammar and spelling while rping. • Minimal advertising, no spamming. Members are allowed and encouraged to share neat links (to roleplays, art, chat threads, whatever). There's a difference between sharing something once or twice and spamming it in every post though, so keep that in mind. • Try to be active. Just once or twice a week is fine. We all have lives outside of the forums, this roleplay shouldn't be your first priority. • Make realistic characters. Powers are allowed obviously but not everyone has them. Don't give your characters crazy colored anime features, and don't make them the center of everything or having no flaws. Give them hopes and goals and dreams and shortcomings, put some thought into them and be creative!
