hello! <3
Info: This is a group of traveling rouges, which are for the most part like a close, tight knit family. Much like family, cats come and go, they live and they die, but they keep wandering on. The most they stay in one place is one moon, and they seem to be completely nomadic. They take in cats of all backgrounds--Tribe cats, Clan cats, kittypets, loners, anyone that wants a fresh start and to travel with them. They have an unofficial system of leadership, but it's very fluid and seems to move around a lot.
Current Plot: The leaf-bare is turning harsh, and there's a pregnant cat amongst the group. Dearly beloved, she doesn't want to leave their pack, but can't be traveling through blizzards with newborn kits.
Announcements: perhaps this could turn to a clan later on, but for now, let's keep it as rouges. y'know the deal, follow the forum rules, do ya thing. please give a small desc of your cat when u jump in and I'll add them to the character list!
character list:
Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - Blueish-grey Norwegian forest she-cat, senior warrior age. Very calm and serene. Aro-Ace (frostshade) Snow - Ragdoll tom-cat, warrior age, ex-kittypet. Proper, neat, and hates getting his paws dirty unless neccesary. Bisexual. (frostshade) Crow - Apprentice age, sleek black she-cat with light green eyes. Smart with herbs, a bit of a scaredy cat. (cavey) Bonescar: tom: warrior: white tom with the tips of his ears and tail black with his black on his muzzled. Short fur with green eyes: Related to Berry: chasing after Berry to bring her back go the clan. (cavey)

{ ok! here are some starters, i hope u join! (sorry that echo's is a bit short comparatively ^^; ) }
Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - Echo treaded through the forest, looking for a quiet place to spend. They had all split up in order to find a good place to spend the next few days, as many of the rouges found that there was enough insulation material to have a good place to spend the night. Snow was falling gently, making her sneeze every so often. She wasn't cold; her thick pelt made sure of that. Occasionally, cats would snuggle up to her, and she adored the physical contact, especially with smaller cats. True, she didn't make romantic connections, but she enjoyed her friends being close. She could smell one of them not to far off, and was making sure to make her scent trackable, so someone could meet up with her to find a decent place to settle.
-+-
S n o w - Although Echo was assigned to run off and find a good place to settle, Snow figured that there were better things to do with his time. His legs were achy, so he didn't really feel like walking anymore. Strange for a traveler, but it happens when one walks for hours upon hours upon hours. All he wanted to really do was curl up onto a warm nest and take a nice long rest, to wake up in the morning with food by his nest. He knew this was unrealistic, that he'd have to go hunting eventually; But it was impossible to take the kittypet out of the ex-kittypet. So instead of finding a warm place to settle down and make the nests that would give him what he desired, he was looking of insulation material. Something that would keep the heat between the rouges, so they would all be warm without having to press up against each other. He took high steps, trying to get less snow covering his paws. It was cold, and he didn't like that at all. With moss in his mouth, he trotted, spotting one of his own. Desperate not to be lonely, he hurriedly began to trot up, catching up to them. "Hey," He greeted, looking up to who he had greeted.
+-+
C r o w - Nothing was worse for a small, short-pelted cat than snow. Sweet Stars, it was frigid out here. Crow wasn't in charge of anything--Many still considered her too young, which was for the most part accurate. She was only ten moons old, after all. She was traveling alongside one of the group's members that was entrusted to look after her. Crow wanted to walk, since she didn't feel okay standing still in the cold. She stayed abnormally close to the cat that was trusted in protecting her, trying to draw their warmth into her so she could actually feel like she wasn't in an iceburg. But they kept walking, as due her request. She breathed in, trying to find a zen in the cold. She didn't find a zen, but she did pick up a scent of prey. She froze in her spot, very gently muttering, "I smell hare," She whispered, frozen in place. Something in her got a little excited at the thought of prey, and she looked up at her guard with a sparkle of determination in her eyes. "Can we please go catch it?" She begged, a bit enthusiastic. "The rest of the group might want food when they're done searching!" Technically, she wasn't supposed to go hunting. She was actually quite terrible at it, but perhaps this could be a learning experience.

Berry rested at a tree tired from walking all that way. The group she crossed had taken her in. She was expecting kits and was starting to show. Starclan, please let these kits grow up to be the best. She sneezed when the snow landed on her nose. It was cold and it was not good for the kits. Leaf bare would be there and she wouldn't be able to eat so much. Well, all of them would have to hunt more to survive. This was her first leaf bare without the clan. What was she going to do? Her kits couldnt come in the snow.

Godiva kept her fur fluffed out against the cold, and she felt a bit of pity every time she looked at Crow and her poor thin coat. It must be heavenly during new-leaf, but right now it didn't look ideal. She had been given Crow not too long after she joined the group, and she had quickly grown close to the she-cat; she was practically her first friend. The tortoiseshell scented the hare as Crow did, and she looked to her with a smile. "Of course," she said, her eyes brightening at the idea of a nice big hare to eat. "Just remember to keep your scent away from where the hare may smell it." She was always trying her best to help Crow learn to hunt; at the moment she didn't seem too good at it, but Godiva knew it would improve in time.

{ np, Cavey, glad to have ya! nissa, I'm totally down for them coming from the same tribe, I think that's a great idea!! thank u for joining!! } Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - The snow on her pads was practically freezing them over, so she decided to stop for a moment. She shifted around a bit, her ears perked high for any signs of prey. Anything they caught at this point would be good, they weren't sure exactly when the prey would start going scarce, but they knew it would happen eventually. But in this action she didn't hear prey, she heard a gentle sneeze. She perked up more, realizing that one of her fellow travelers was nearby. Perhaps it would be best for her to walk with someone else. She tasted the air and scented one of the newer cats of their little pack--One of the former clan cats. She, too, knew what it was like to leave a group of those she had loved, but had not loved her. Granted, it was not over kits, which she considered a blessing, but it was a similar situation. So after a moment of careful consideration, she followed her scent, walking up to the queen. "Greetings, Berry," She meowed, her tone serene and calm.
+-+
C r o w - The clear excitement in the young cat's eyes was guileless and pure, determination shimmering beyond them. She wanted to run and just chase the hare, but she knew that Godiva knew best. She was a lot better at hunting than Crow was. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself in that moment. She didn't want to move too quickly, or jump too early and miss the catch that could feed some of her friends. She looked up at Godiva, seeming to calm her own energy. "How do I know where it might smell me?" Her voice was in a whisper, as if she was afraid to speak too loudly as the hare would hear them. She was actively trying to be as cautious as she could be. "Do I just move super slow and my scent won't travel?" She wasn't being sarcastic at all--Crow just was never quite sure how to do things, and usually required explanation.

"Echo, I thought you were out hunting with the others"Berry said looking up at her. The she cat was once a tribe member she had learned. The tribe seemed intresting to her. "The kits are statting to move alot more now. Soon they will come but.....I am troubled" she said looking at her.
Bonescar ran through the forest as fast as he could. He climbed up a tree and looked for ang sign. The snow had covered their tracks. He could not scent them. He had to find Moonberry before leafbare was fully here. The kits or his poor sister couldn't survive out here.

Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - She stood a bit closer to the expecting she-cat, doing her best to make sure that she was warm in the cold. Her eyes turned warm and she sat beside her, her fur fluffed up as much as she could make it so her warmth would hopefully seep onto Berry. Upon the notion that she was out hunting, she just kind of tilted her head and her shoulder in a shrugging motion, as if dismissing it. She listened to her speak and a gentle purr rumbled--Echo quite liked kits, although she didn't wish to have them herself. "I am glad to hear they are doing well, particuarly in the snow. May I ask what troubles you?" She questioned, her voice still and relaxed. Her tail wrapped around her body, resting on her paws while her ears turned towards the queen attentively.

Berry purreed at the warmth she felt from the she cat and lokked at her. "My kits will be born in the snow. Will they survive the harsh winter? Us traveling so much? I want my kits to be healthy and grow up. Not be cold and die because they were not sheltered"

Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - Echo hesitated--They hardly stopped moving. She had been with them for some time, and the most she had seen the group actually settle down was a moon. The reason they were there for so long? The clan needed some extra paws while an outbreak happened, so they lended their services before moving on. She hadn't seen her group actually settle down, and her worries were more than valid. "If I am honest, we have not stopped in a long time," She admitted, refusing to lie blatantly to the queen. "However, we always care for our own. before caring about moving. You are one of our own now. The group will understand that we need to settle so your little ones will grow strong, I am sure of it," She stated firmly. Even though they hadn't stopped for long, they had never truly been in this situation before. New situations required new solutions, and Berry and her kits came first in this situation. If the solution was to settle down, Echo was sure the group would agree that they should.

"We move all the time. Would they agree? I feel like I am a burden since coming. I hunt when I can but I feel like all I donis reat. What use am I to the group? Im dragging everyone behind and yiu guys do not deserve" Berry said putting her tail around her paws. "Echo, have you ever felt like that? A burden? I was to my clan and now I am one to you guys ". She felt like crying. These feelings she felt were real. The cat she loved betrayed her. Her brother let her go out and didnt fight againt the leader, their father. She looked up to see the sun starting to go down. She wished she could look up and see Starclan but they are in diffrent skys than her.

Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - She ever so gently leaned against Berry, doing her best to give a comforting gesture. She lingered there for a moment, mimicking deep breaths so her friend would follow her actions. "I too, felt that I was a burden, when I first arrived." Her voice was quiet, as if she didn't want to startle her. She wanted to give her a point of reference, that she wasn't alone. "When I left my tribe, I knew nothing but how to fight, as that was all I was trained to do. I relied on others to provide food, a safe place to live, and I gave them what they needed. When I left, I learned that I knew nothing. I am a bigger cat, I realized not that hunting was difficult. The group took me in despite the fact that I could not hunt, that I had to rely on others. These cats helped teach me things that I should have learned much sooner." She paused, greeted by a pleasant memory that sparked an amused purr. "There was frustration, there was anger. But they showed me love and compassion." Echo looked down at the queen, her kind eyes beaming at her as her body language fell to relaxed. Her attention was turned towards her, but she was sympathetic. "I am sure we will do the same to you. You bring wisdom that we know little of--We have never had a healer before. You bring life," She gently brushed her paw against Berry's stomach. "And you are a friend. You have value, Berry, you are not a burden to us."

Berry purred and rubbed her head against her neck. "Thank you Echo" she said. She wrapped her tail nervously around her feeling comfortble. "Your the first to say that to me. Your so kind to me Echo. Thank you". She looked away and pointed ger head towards the sky. "It will soon be night. Maybe we should build some nest to sleep on " she said standing up now. E

Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - She purred gently, pleased that she had been successful in her efforts to calm her friend. She followed Berry's actions, standing up and streching her legs. "I was out looking for a warm place to hold all of us." She wasn't getting anywhere that wasn't cold--The only place that she was hoping for was a warm cave. But it seemed unlikely at this point. "I hoped for a cave, though I doubt I will find one. If you would like, we may walk and collect moss--If we find no cave, we will find an easy place to settle." She offered, still wanting to continue with her task.

Godiva turned her attention back to Crow, blinking a moment. She forgot that some parts of hunting and scenting weren’t natural and had to be taught. “Do you feel that slight breeze?” she asked, ruffling her pelt further at the bite of cold. “If you sit in the direction the wind in blowing, your scent will carry and the hare might scent you.” She flicked her tail toward one side of the rabbit, fortunately at its back. “You’ll want to stand where the wind goes into your face. In this case, over there.” She smiled down at Crow. “And when you feel you’re close enough, just run toward it, fast as you can.”

{ absolutely, April!! adding him now!! }
C r o w - It took her a moment to comprehend, but when she did, she gave a determined nod, her eyes flickering to excited as she was told she could run at it. "Alright, I got it. I'm gonna do it." Determination ran through her veins as she stalked around, following the scent of the hare. She was trying to keep in mind what Godiva had said about the wind, and seemed to be thinking hard about what the hare could smell. Crow spotted the hare, and bent into a crouch, spying at it from behind a bush for a moment. Her pupils dialated, taking in more of her surroundings before she full-on bolted at the hare, doing exactly as she was told. Adrenaline pushed her to high speeds, her heart racing as she chased towards it. At the sound of her running, it turned and began to flee, which only made her run faster. Finally, she leapt onto the hare, which put up a fight, flailing around for a moment. Crow instinctively bit down as hard as she could, purely out of fear, on the nearest body part, which was it's neck. She could still feel blood She felt it fall limp under her and she stood up, poking at it with her nose a few times before-- "I did it!! I caught something!!" She cried happily, a purr coming from her chest. She could still taste the blood on her teeth--She had bitten way harder than necessary. She looked at Godiva with the little fur she had puffed out in pride as she trotted back, completely forgetting about the prey lying on the ground for a moment. "Did you see me? Was it good?"

Berry walked along the forest looking for a noce warm cave or moss. She saw a spot of pocks that looked perfect to put nest near. "It only a patch of rocks but it will give us shelter. " she said. She stepped towards it touching one of the rocks.

Echo of Shattered Ice (Echo) - Echo walked alongside her, watching carefully for threats. True, her guarding days were long, long over, but she never truly lost the protective instincts. Especially not towards her friends. She looked at the rocks, examining them as she spoke. It wasn't a cave, but it was going to make them safe and give them a good place to set up, at least until they could all get a good meal and set out again. She nodded firmly once, speaking. "Good find, we may set up here." She declared, raising her head to the sky, sneezing as a snowflake fell on her nose. She rubbed her cheek firmly against one of the rocks, marking some of her scent there. "Hopefully this will allow us to find our way back after we find the others."
+-+
S n o w - Snow's fur, although already puffed up to contain heat, seemed only to expand as the cat approached. He had found a few other cats and settled with them there for a moment, with their collected moss. They hadn't decided on a firm place for a camp yet--Echo was taking care of that. But they were tired from traveling, and resting seemed like the best idea. He looked at Oliver, stretching out his legs. "Echo's finding a more permanent camp, so we're resting here until she comes back," He explained quickly. "The all-day travels makes me sore, so I decided to stop. I just found some more cats to stop with me. Besides, maybe it's better to stay together, since she needs to find all of us when she finds a decent spot."

((that's alright, take care of yourself! i still gotta get used to a work schedule lol))
Godiva watched Crow from behind a bush, her eyes bright as she watched the little she-cat. She could easily rush in and help Crow kill the hare if things went awry, but she wanted to let her do her best first. Crow was doing everything right so far, though, so it would most likely turn out fine. At the moment Crow darted toward the hare and they both took off running, Godiva jumped to her paws and watched with wide eyes, her body tense. A few moments passed as Crow sniffed at the hare, and when she called out to her guardian, she let out a breath of relief she didn't realize she'd been holding. She approached with her tail high and a loud purr rising from her throat. "I did see you!" she mewed. "I'm so proud of you, you did great!" Her whiskers twitched. "Just be sure you don't forget the prey you just caught."

{ thank u for understanding! im feeling a lot better now with all the rest i totally get the work thing lol. it takes me forever to adjust to a new schedule }
C r o w - Crow's head was lifted, her ears and tail perked as high as they could go in pride at the praise. There was a strong purr in her chest as she thanked her for the compliments. Realizing that she had left the prey, her head swiftly turned to look at it, her ears falling in embarassment. "I'll go get that." Her mew was sheepish, but there was a hint of amusement. Crow's amount of comfort around Godiva made it easier not to get down on herself over little mistakes like she would with cats she didn't know as well. She quickly trotted back to her kill, leaning down and carefully grabbing the hare's neck. She picked it up, the act straining her neck a bit. She was more accustomed to picking up herbs and smaller animals, but that wasn't going to stop her. She hadn't quite hit a growth spurt yet either, so the hare dragged a bit on the ground while she trotted back. She tried to talk with it in her mouth, but quickly realized she would have to put it down when she wanted to speak. "Do you know if we have a camp yet?" She questioned--She was proud of her catch, but she didn't want to have to drag it around until midnight.
