(Welcome to Hawthornclan!) (But be wary young one all is not what it seems)
Applekit watched as the snow fell from the opening of the nursery. Her dark amber eyes glancing up at the light gray sky. She didn't much enjoy the snow. It was cold wet and it clung to her long black and white fur and it would take her hours to clean her fur. She glanced over to her brother Woodkit. He was romping about kicking up snow and playing with his den mates. With a heavy sigh she pulled her self to her paws and stomped back into the nursery.
Lighteye padded through the camps entrance with a clump of frozen moss hanging from his muzzle. The large bulky dark ginger tom looked a bit disheveled. His usually neat fur was all ruffled and messy and his pale blue eyes looked tired. A couple cats had gotten sick recently and they needed round the clock care. Lighteye padded into his den, this leaf-bare had been difficult for the clan. They had lost both the deputy and Sparrowstar to green cough. Now the clan was leaderless and deputy-less. Now the clan was in shambles and waiting for a sign from Starclan. Lighteye sighed softly.

Heatherkit padded up next to Applekit as she watched the snow. "I wish I could go out and play, don't you?" She huffed impatiently, batting out a abnormally small paw at a snowflake drifting close by. Heatherkit was a munchkin cat, being short and stubby. She was going to be an apprentice soon, so she tried to play as much as she could.
Sorrelpaw had come back from collecting some herbs shortly after Lighteye, trying to stock up their stores. As a medicine cat apprentice, it was his duty to go out into the snow to collect these healing necessities. When he got inside the den, he shook out his fur and began to sort the herbs, his smoky blue eyes tired and wary but sitting up straight and tail curled neatly around his sleek Russian Blue paws. Surprisingly, he didn't nod a greeting or acknowledge Lighteye, which was unusual.
Finchwing was cleaning herself inside the warrior's den, licking her paws and drawing them over her ears. Her brown tabby tail flicked in a rythm, her pink nose shining slightly.

Applekit glanced over to Heatherkit and nodded. "Yeah, i cant wait until the snow disappears and then we all can go out side and play." Applekit giggled. Applekit was a couple moons younger than Heatherkit but they had become close friends and the small tuxedo kit could not wait until they were training together. Applekit suddely had a idea. "We could play moss ball in here if you want!"
Lighteye placed the frozen moss clump neatly next to some other clumps of slightly frozen moss clumps. His pale eyes fixing on Sorrelpaw. He noticed his apprentice was acting a bit odd. The bulky tom padded over to the apprentice and sat down to help him sort the herbs. "Is something bothering you Sorrelpaw?" He asked softly. Lighteye may have been bigger than some of the warriors but he had the temperament of a queen. Soft spoken and very understanding but yet he could be a bit harsh.
Frostnose lay in her nest a couple fox lengths away from Finchwing, the she-cat seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood. Her tattered ears flicked back and her short stubby tail flicked side to side. If there was a cat that truly hated snow it was Frostnose and many cats usually stayed away from the long legged pale gray tabby cat.

"Sure!" Heatherkit padded over. "I have the moss-ball from last time, too!" She suddenly leaped and nosed under her nest. Out rolled a slightly dusty moss-ball. "We can soak it in the snow," She suggested. "Or clean it." She rolled it underpaw, concentrating on it. Then she whipped out a paw and caught a small bug. "Gotcha!" Heatherkit meowed happily.
"Nothing, Lighteye. Everything's fine." Sorrelpaw mumbled. But a scratch was burning on his shoulder, and it looked like a cat's claws had pierced the skin. He didn't look at him as he said this. But he seemed to grow tense. He had gotten into a fight with a rogue and his gang, but he didn't want to tell Lighteye. I will make sure he'll never know, Sorrelpaw vowed. Because I lost the fight, and... He didn't end the thought. But he shivered fearfully.
"In a bad mood again? Can't you be happy for once? The snow will go away at some point," Finchwing mewed irritably to Frostnose. Then she sighed. "I don't like the snow either, but you've got to look on the bright side of life."

"Ooo, we could soak it in the snow! It would clean the moss ball but also make the game a bit more fun!" Applekit squeaked softly. She didnt know if her mom Maplestripe would let them bring in a soaked moss ball but he was out on a walk and what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her. Applekit leaped to her paws. "Lets go soak it!" She squeaked loudly.
Lighteye's percing blue eyes narrowed slightly, but the bulky tom didn't respond. But he could smell fresh blood on her apprentice. "Would you like me to help you bandage up that scratch you have?" He questioned softly. Lighteye picked up a small clump of cobweb. "Or would you like to do it." He added softly.
Frostnose tucked her paws under he chest and snorted softly. "yeah yeah." The elder warrior grumbled. "I'll start looking on the bright side of life when the snow goes away for good." She added with a snort. Suddenly there was a rustle at the dens entrance and small form made its way into the den. It was Cricketwhisker a medium sized tom with a thick coat of white fur. "Burr, its cold out side today." He shivered as he shook out his short coat.

Falconfrost leads his patrol into camp and moves towards the fresh kill pile. He was carrying a mouse and a robin and places them in a pile. He just barely managed to catch the bird and managed to bully some rogue into giving up his mouth. He looked up and glanced around at the clan. They were going to starve unless they did something! They could always steal from rogues or raid the farm of rabbits near by.
Riverleaf shivered and fluffed her fur in hopes of blocking out the cold. She was sick and seemed to only be getting worse. However, she refused to rest and would usually be out trying to fish in the stream and ponds.
Spidernose looked up at the sky and shakes his head. Why wouldn't Starclan send a sign? He often thought about running away to become a kittypet. Least he would be warm and fed.

Darkstorm padded up next to Falconfrost, the large calico tom had not caught anything on this patrol and he looked rather grumpy by it. "We are all going to starve if we don't do anything." He grumbled angrily. Darkstorm wasn't the friendliest tom only truly caring about himself and a select few others. "If i was leader the clan would be thriving." He added.
Mudbelly padded up to his friend and softly nuzzled her. "Come on Riverleaf you need to rest." He meowed softly. "Its much warmer in the warriors den than out here." Added.
"Hey Spidernose do you want to go hunting?" A long-legged tom cat padded up to Spidernose. This was Fadespot a light gray tom with darker gray spots.

"And how would the clan be thriving?" Falconfrost questioned flicking his tail. ``He just had to hear this.
Riverleaf was about to protest before letting out sigh. "I suppose your right." She mewed as she slowly sits up. Riverleaf paused a moment to cough before looking back at her friend. "Well lead on and I'll follow."
"Mm? oh uh sure." Spidernose mewed. "Do you think we will find anything?"

Darkstorm narrowed his amber eyes. "Well first of all we would have much more territory and we would have already raided the rabbit farm by now." Darkstorm growled softly. Darkstorm glanced over at the medicine cats den. "Also i would have had Lighteyes retired by now." He whispered very softly. Lighteyes and Darkstorm maybe blood but they have never had common ground and they constantly argued.
Mudbelly nodded softly and padded ahead. "Are you feeling any better today?" He asked softly. He glanced over his shoulder at Riverleaf.
Fadespot shrugged. "Im not sure, but it doesn't hurt to try." The energetic tom headed towards the camps entrance. "Maybe we could sneak over and scare some Kittypets!" He added in a small whisper.

"The rabbit farm is something we can agree on." Falconfrost remarked twitching his whiskers. He briefly glanced at the medicine cat's den before looking back at Darkstorm. "I would agree if Lighteye's apprentice was a full medicine cat first."
"I'm feeling a bit better." Riverleaf mewed. "Least my stomach doesn't hurt anymore."
Spidernose chuckled a bit. "Wouldn't be to hard. I hear they are scared of their own shadows."
