So I just have this theory that maybe we'll get a perspective from each clan. So far we have: Rootpaw's (SkyClan) Shadowpaw's (ShadowClan) and Bristlepaw (her warrior name) Bristlefrost (ThunderClan) Well in the book if you go into allegiances you see that there are kits in each clan. And in through The Lost Stars you get two apprentices in WindClan Applepaw and Woodpaw Also the two in Riverclan are Fogkit and Splashkit... it'd be cool.

I would really like that, and im really hoping Flutterkit becomes a med cat apprentice ^^

Whoever is in Bramblestar’s body kills someone and the real Bramblestar watches in horror.

I think Bramble/Ashfur takes over his body to be with Squirrelflight again since at the end he said ''its good to be with you again'' sorry if i spoiled it for anyone

If it is Ashfur possessing Bramblestar, I highly doubt he's going to use the opportunity to get close to Squirrelflight under false pretenses. Ashfur is a horrible cat, but he showed nothing but derision for Squirrelflight after she became mates with Bramblestar, and he never tried to get close to her by any means after that. Even in Lost Stars, we see possessed!Bramblestar being rude and snappy with Squirrelflight. I'm glad this is the case, because I don't want to see the horrible breach of consent this would be played out throughout the books.

Toadstep froze the moonpool, along with Foxleap. Toadstep did it because he was jealous that his sister now has five mentors, and he never had any before he died. Foxleap helped because he thought it was a prank.
Just kidding.
But here's a serious theory, what if the prophecy cats get their powers back to defeat the great evil?

Sol might show up and help use Bramblefur as a reason to steer the clans from Starclan
We finally get a RC or WC protag bc they need relevance
They open borders and all die from yellowcough and run outta ragwort bc one of the main reasons borders were created was to stop the spread of sickness

Spottedstream has a point! Whoever that cat was said to Squirrelflight that it was good to be with her again which is making me feel like, yes, it's Ashfur. It's a breach of consent kind of, but I don't think the cat will actually try to get closer to Squirrelflight now. Just be out to hurt her. Though some people are saying it's using the code to hurt the cats closest to her but that doesn't make complete sense. He's attacking Dovewing, Tigerstar, and I think Crowfeather?? Which aren't that close to her. So it's up in the air, but I hope it's Ashfur because he needs to go the Dark Forest. Please Erins, please be righting this wrong. I think she's pretty close to Crowfeather but other than that it's pretty close.

I wouldn't say she's close enough to get super hurt by his death though. That would be Leafpool. I know they traveled together to the Lake but still. Either way I'm willing to say sure she can be close to him. Still doesn't explain Dovewing fully to me, I know they are related in some way and she was a Thunderclan cat but I don't see her being overly hurt by the death like she would, say Jayfeather or Lionblaze. Ya, I mean Doveing left them for Tigerstar so I don't know why she would be very hurt by it.

It's either Sol or Ashfur, I'm leaning toward Sol because we have several hints that whoever's talking to Shadowpaw isn't from StarClan. Not to mention, StarClan somehow can't communicate with the Clans anymore, and Ashfur is in StarClan.
The only way I can imagine him being behind all this is if he somehow got kicked out of StarClan or he disconnected himself from their hunting grounds or whatever.
In fact, it's likely that something is cutting off their connection, which makes me lean toward Sol even more. But it could also not be Sol as well, given that he's just a normal cat, and the cold winter and frozen moonpool I suspect are linked with the spirit.
Although I have the tiniest idea that it may be Juniperclaw or someone from Kin-era ShadowClan behind this, what with the mention of ShadowClan's bitterness over territories, and also that one small part where Shadowpaw felt like he was talking to someone he knew. But it seems pretty far-fetched in my opinion.
Now with those thoughts unpacked, I'll move on to my theories for the arc in general.
If it's Ashfur, I have a feeling he'll try to pluck off ThunderClan cats one by one, ruining Bramblestar's image and trying to wipe out Firestar's descendants. By this time hopefully StarClan will be sending prophecies in The Silent Thaw, before we get some action in the later books. He'll probably build a lot of support, kind of like Hawkfrost, before manipulating his way into taking out the "code breakers"
If it's Sol... total carnage, I'm sure he'll pull a Darktail and rip the Clans to shreds from the inside out. Like with the Ashfur theory, he'd have built an army by now and would become insanely hard to get rid of, and maybe some of the events from my TBC theories of last year could wiggle in the series, with a small collection of cats from each Clan working against manipulated Clan cats supporting BrambleSol. Maybe we'll see some StarClan getting in on the fighting like in The Last Hope but also maybe not.
If it's Juniperclaw, it'll probably be like The Raging Storm all over again but with a possessed Bramblestar.

I feel like Rootpaw is gonna end up with Wrenkit. Maybe he'll help her come to terms with the loss of her littermates and overcome her fear of the spirit cats idk.
I also feel like Dewspring might die because ROOTSPRING IS A THING I GUESS?

I also feel like Dewspring might die because ROOTSPRING IS A THING I GUESS? Why would that mean he might possibly die? Cats can have same suffixes.
