Ophelia & Calypso | 《Kᥲιrσʂ》
Ophelia frowned when Kito asked about his brother, Taro. She tried thinking back to her time out with Calypso and searched for any trace of an encounter with the tom, but found nothing. To be fair, she was still suffering from shock and couldn’t remember much, but she was sure that she’d only seen Calypso and Kito out in the forest that day. “I don’t think I’ve seen him recently,” she told him. “Are you worried he ran off?”

Flask looked down at the small she-cat."I'm Flask."He answered her."I couldn't help but notice your limp.If you don't mind my asking, what happened?" The small cat looked forward, the rest of her body remaining still as stone. "Dog," she stated simply, a distant look in her icy eyes. It was strange, how she seemed so calm yet so spaced out. Oaka's gaze flickered to the leaders' den for a moment, but quickly returned to Flask. "Why are you here?" Oaka asked without expression, the question wasn't harsh or smooth.

"A bit...he's been talking of getting away from this place for a while, becoming one of those street-dwellers," he sighed softly, though he doubted Taro would've left his siblings to suffer. Taro, being the oldest out of the three, wanted to keep Whisp and Kito safe from Snake's intentions. "I bet he's just out and about right now, maybe getting caught in the rain."

"The storm."Flask answered."I didn't have anywhere to go so Whisp and Crow brought me here."He explained before rooting around in the brush and finally pulling out a long plant. He chewed on the roots of it and then spit it onto a leaf."Put this on the wound and it'll heal faster."He instructed.

Oaka looked skeptical of the tom, knowing full well that he could be poisoning her. The she-cat didn't have much to lose, so she decided to do as he ordered. Picking the leaf up in between her teeth carefully, she rubbed it onto the injured paw reluctantly. She set the leaf back down and glanced up at Flask. "You don't look very old," she inquired quietly, noticing how he may have even been younger than Whisp.

"I'm not."Flask answered."I'm 16 moons old."He started licking his paw. Her eyes narrowed, but she accepted this quickly. The she-cat said nothing, and continued to focus on the swaying grass once more. She remained silent, but made no move to lay back down or talk somewhere else. Oaka was so...contained, for her age.

"Something bothering you?"Flask asked curiously."You don't seem like you should be this quiet." Oaka's gaze flickered from the grass to the calico tom briefly before resting on the stormy sky. How is it that he doesn't know my name, yet seems so concerned? she thought in amusement, though her expression remained like stone. "No. Not a talkative cat I guess."

The she-cat was unsure of Flask's goal in telling him about these cats that didn't talk, but it did succeed in making her slightly more interested. "What are those?" Oaka asked as he listed off the herbs.

Oaka had never learned of any of these plants, nor what they were used for. The rogue group had lost cats to illnesses and fatalities before, but no one had ever been able to do a thing about it. Now here was Flask, sharing his unheard of knowledge with this unknowing apprentice. "And you know how to use these?"

"What kind of cat knows what an herb is used for but doesn't know how?"Flask replied with amusement in his eyes and voice."They're actually not that hard to figure out." She nodded slowly, his confidence only reassuring her. Oaka wasn't usually one to care for outsiders, negatively nor positively, but perhaps Flask could be useful. "Stay," the she-cat meowed, the suggestion coming out harsher than she'd meant.

"What do you mean by that?"Flask asked, tilting his head."Can't say that I have anywhere to go,not until the rain stops and the ghost cat comes back." A pleading look suddenly replaced the dull expression on the she-cat's face. If he stayed, he might be able to help the rogue group. "You can help us...we have food, and you won't be alone. Please," Oaka meowed quietly, her eyes wide as she spoke up to him.

Snake rolled his eyes, disgusted with his fellow rogues for allowing an outsider into the heart of their territory in such desperate times. The fur along his spine bristled furiously, his eyes sharp as he glowered at Crow. "See to it that he touches nothing, or their will be serious problems," he spat before sharply turning and stalking off towards the leader's den, probably going to scold Smoke and Shadi. Crow's ears pressed flat to her skull as Snake looked menacingly at her. She didn't understand why he was so outraged over the presence of the outsider, when clearly it was temporary. Perhaps Smoke or Shadi would help him see sense, though deep inside she doubted even their words would be enough to put a stop to Snake's anger. Though she wanted space and to take a walk alone for a while after Snake's outburst, she also wanted to see what would happen once he brought up the issue with Smoke. The she-cat padded into the den where Whisp was staying with the outsider. "Did you hear all of that?" she asked, feeling a pang of sympathy for the she-cat; it must've been tough growing up with such a moody father.

The she-cat noticed Bronco seeming almost...in a rush. She didn't want to say anything, she truly enjoyed his company; but would he get in trouble if he went with her for any longer? "Can I ask you something...?" Aki asked quietly, her voice soft and laced with hesitance. "What is it?" Bronco asked as they padded along. The damp grass was slippery and unpleasant underfoot, and the cold rain continued to mist down on them from a swollen gray sky. The she-cat seemed almost reluctant to ask the question; what was bothering her?

Whisp shrugged halfheartedly. Of course she'd heard all of it; besides, the she-cat was used to it by now. Glancing at Flask, she frowned. "Thanks for not telling him, I'd have had to deal with even more of his nagging," the young molly purred gratefully. She looked at Crow with an admiring gaze, her green eyes sparkling. "I wonder how long the storm will be though, considering it's already nearing the evening..."

When you were talking with them, what did they say?" the cream-furred molly asked with reluctance, knowing how easily Bronco could lie to her. He could take her down at any moment, lead her to a trap, but somehow she didn't believe the tom would do anything of the sort.

If she'd mentioned names, Snake for sure would've been on a rampage at the moment. She twitched an ear, looking up at the sky; the clouds had seemingly grown less heavy, the rain coming down with less force now. "Probably not much longer," she mewed. "The rain has softened up a little." Only time could tell with this weather, she added in her head. "That outsider, by the way, do you know his name?" asked Crow. "Having to say 'the outsider' is a mouthful."

Should he tell Aki the truth, knowing it might just scare her away, or lie to put her worries to rest? This was a tough decision. There was no use in her knowing the truth, but at the same time, the she-cat could probably tell if he lied. The tom sighed. "One of my leaders, Smoke, said to attack if I saw another outsider," he admitted. "But trust me, he was only being paranoid. He's really one of the least barbaric cats I know. If he saw you, he probably wouldn't attack first. He uses his words more than his claws. Now Snake on the other paw…"

The she-cat visibly relaxed, her gaze drifting back to meet his once again. Aki nodded in understanding, though she didn't understand how she even looked like a threat to them. "Thanks for telling me, I was a bit worried random cats were gonna jump out at me," she confessed sheepishly, a goofy smile on her face as she explained why she'd asked. After a few moments, they had reached the boulder garden- a beautiful valley with large, smooth rocks making up the walls. Down the middle ran a small, clear stream. Here and there, flowers peaked up between the rocks in beautiful colors. On a sunny day, it would look breathtaking. Aki looked down at the smooth slope admirably before climbing down the rocks carefully. "Isn't it great?" she purred excitedly as she came to a stop. (This is kind of what I had in mind, the stream is in the bottom right in the first picture.)

Bronco gave a low purr of amusement as they approached the rocky slope. His ear flicked nervously to the side. The garden looked almost unnatural even now in the dim light; it was uncannily well-kept, not a weed in sight. This was nothing like the forested and grassy areas he was used to. Despite his thoughts, the tabby tom followed Aki as she slowly climbed down the rocks. The two stood shoulder-to-shoulder, looking down at the scene before them. Though unusual, he had to admit the garden was beautiful. Bronco gave a nod of agreement. "How'd you discover this place?" he asked the she-cat.

Though Crow found the whole thing pretty hard to believe, she would give the she-cat the benefit of the doubt; maybe the words she spoke were true. Or maybe she's just out of her mind, Crow thought darkly, but she pushed away the negativity that was growing in her mind. You never know…"Well, whatever they are, you must see these spirit things for a reason," said Crow firmly, as if she was trying to convince not only Whisp, but herself too. "Use that gift wisely."

Aki shrugged, stopping underneath a thick, unusually green tree. She took in the garden's features with a content look. "Raran and I were just looking for a den. We saw this place and thought it might be good, but the twolegs come here every so often to take care of it," she explained halfheartedly, not really seeing the humans as a threat. "They've seen us before but they never do anything, so I guess it's kind of just a silent understanding."
