In a world where Survival of the Fittest rules day to day life. The path between the brink of extinction and thriving is well worn. Death is a friend as old as the howling winds and scorching sun. But in spite of the odds having long been against our favour, CraterClan has survived where others have crumbled to dust and ruin. It has not often been peaceful, but we have staked our claim on what is ours, and we are willing to fight tooth and nail to keep it. Yet when our next threat comes not from the world around us, but those we hold dear. A rift will be driven through the clan that sees families ripped apart, allegiances tested and friendships tried. So the question stands, when it comes between love for your family and the ties to your clan, where will your loyalties lie?

Some of the common traits found amidst our clan, is that of smaller and lither cats. Marked with a sleek thin pelt to help protect against the often exhausting heat of our territory. Pale browns, greys and lighter colours are best suited to aid in blending in against the world around us, but we come in a vast range of patternings and solids aren't especially common. Our pads have adapted to become thicker than average to help prevent burns when venturing out when its warm. We are fleet footed and adept climbers, good at taking advantage of the terrain that surrounds us. It is necessary for a cat who wishes to survive here to learn the lands they know as home, for it isn't likely to show them any mercy when it comes to surviving. Adaptable is one of the most key features to day to day life in our Clan, for no two days are the same as the last here. Coupled with instinct and intelligence, there are few predators we are capable of fighting back against here, so it is necessary to outsmart them if we wish to stay alive on the African plains.
Set within what is known by twolegs as the Ngorongoro crater of Africa, the territory of CraterClan is reasonable vast and has great variety to the wildlife found within. Sources of prey tend to be of the smaller mammal type, shrews, squirrels and african hares making up much of our diet, though braver cats have been known to go after the birds that frequent our skies. But the threats here are not for the weak of heart, not only the predators such as the lions and leopards, but the more ill natured hooved animals who don't welcome our cats with ease. CraterClan has adapted to make the most of its home, but that doesn't mean it is without its dangers.
Ancient Baobab Some believe it is older than the clan itself, it is a huge Baobab tree found central to the territory, birds frequent its branches.
Crocodile Cross The easiest section of the river to cross is infested with crocodiles, meaning the Clan rarely pass through here.
Leopard's Leap Known for the leopard who makes her home here, unknowing cats have often fallen prey to the territorial creature.
Rushing River Marking CraterClan's border is a river, though dwindling during the heat, there is almost always water here.
The WaterHole The water source closest to camp is a small oasis found in the northern foothills of the crater.
Thundering Hooves An expansive plain north of the territory, where many of the hooved herds of the territory make their camps.
Weaver Tree Home to an enormous weaver nest, it is a prime spot to practice climbing, as well as attempt to find dinner.
Vulture Perch Territory of a pair of vultures, apprentices must be careful in this copse of trees, though it is a fine hunting ground.
Set against the northern slopes of the Crater is where the Clan's camp can be found. Sheltered well from the winds natural on the higher terrain, and providing ample shade from the sweltering heat. The camp is close to the waterhole for those fit enough to journey, but a small stream marks the land, but during warmer seasons this isn't a constant source of water.
Leader's Den Settled within a cave within the camps walls is where the leader makes their den.
Medicine Cat Den Leant against the upwards slope of the camp, is a hollow log, covered in natural ivy, providing shelter for our healers.
Warrior's Den Massive in nature, the warriors den is within the roots of a large tree central to camp.
Apprentice's Den Within a collection of boulders tumbled in a manner which provides a den for the cats in training of CraterClan.
Nursery A dip within the camp's floor, almost like a fox earth in nature to provide a den for queens and kits.
Elder's Den Our eldest spend their remaining moons sheltered within a hollow log, providing ample space and comfort for aged cats.

Viperstar. Whilst by no means the most intimidating looking cat in the world, when in his presence it isn't uncommon to feel watched, as the truth is you likely are. Even when appearing outwardly relaxed, this is a cat who is constantly alert and watching, learning what he can from the slightest of gestures or sentences. Intelligent and strategic, he is a cat who knows how to get the most out of others, but is quick to spot the slightest weakness or fault. Making him an overall lethal cat to consider leader. Long and slender, but with the athletic build to make him a reasonable battlefield opponent, he is marked with a soft but thin coat of soft tabby browns. Patterned irregularly by stripes of black, his eyes are a sharp yellow shade, piercing and careful. A cat who knows when to show his cards or when to remain silent and watching, he can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on who you are. On the outside he is a charasmatic cat, silver tongued and bright enough to know what to see to bring cats to his side. Which is how he was able to sweep through the ranks despite his unusually young age to be leader. Only when angered does anyone ever see his true colours, but despite outward appearances. He is a dangerous cat, happy to wait for the opportunity to strike, but always waiting for his chance. Always remember that the manner of his predecessors death was never established, and the true reason for its suddenness remains uncertain to most. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ Jaggedclaw.
Tall lean solid pale sand colored tom with short dense fur. Along his spine and around his paws, tail tip, and ear tips the pale yellow turns to a darker golden color. He has dark amber eyes that are lined with black skin. Jaggs features are very sharp and triangular, he also has black nose leather and black paw-pads as well. His long jagged claws is what he is known for and also the reason for his name. There are scars around his shoulders neck and muzzle showing that he is no stronger to a fight making him look like a formidable opponent. Jaggedclaw has personally never backed down from a fight and does tend to have an aggressive attitude most of the time. Now that Viperstar is leader this dark hearted toms thoughts have blossomed into actions. Being fiercely loyal to his friend and leader, Jaggedclaw would follow every order and swiftly carry out commands. He believes that leading a clan through fear is the only way to make the clan be obedient. Falconwing Brackenfrost. A pale gray tabby tom, with long, fluffy fur. His muzzle, front paws and chest are white, while his nose and the tips of his ears and tail are a very light brown. Throughout his fur there are a few stripes of the same brown color, located mostly around his hind legs and throat. His eyes are a dark blue-green. He’s small and slim, with dainty paws not really suitable for combat. Sadly, he does have rather short legs and isn’t much of a climber because of it. No matter what anyone else thinks, he is more than capable of keeping up and happens to be a pretty decent swimmer. Just because he isn’t a fighter doesn’t mean he won’t do everything he can for his clan. He’s been the clan’s medicine cat for over ten moons and he cares more about the safety of his clanmates than himself. . Mushroomcloud. The medicine cat apprentice of Shadeclan is everything one could wish of a healer, patient, kind, wise, and forgiving. This molly is a dilute calico, with soft tan colors of brown, and smokey black dappling along her back, and face. She is a majority white however, it being all across her chest, muzzle, and paws. She has a plumed, feather like tail, and a relatively short, frail figure. She lacks a lot of muscle on her legs, or the broad shoulders expected of a powerful warrior. She is small for a grown cat, looking more like an apprentice, but the maturity in her voice and demeanor offsets this appearance. She has chocolate brown eyes, and a bright pink nose and paw pads. Mushroomcloud's voice is very feminine, and has the gentle tone of a mother, often being monotone as she is always in a calm state. Her greatest strengths are her intellect, her ability to read others, and the ability to calm others in times of distress. She is a very open minded cat, one that others often feel safe coming to with any problem. She isn't exactly a social butterfly, but she isn't shy either. Rather, Mushroomcloud likes to stay out of the fray, and can thus be seen as a rather quiet cat, but she has an intense passion for her profession, once you get her talking about it it's hard to make her stop. Like any other cat, however, Mushroomcloud has her shortcomings. Putting aside her weak body structure, Mushroomcloud also is a cat who refuses to listen to authority if their beliefs directly contradict with her own. This medicine cat is so head strong in her belief that anyone can find redemption, and that all cats should be treated as equals, that she is often blind sided to the grey area of the situation. For example, Mushroomcloud has been caught before giving away valuable herbs to loners that had been found in the clan, stealing prey. When confronted, Mushroomcloud did not hesitate to bluntly state her opinions, and refuse to listen to anyone who tried to tell her otherwise. Even though she is almost always calm, it is not impossible to stoke Mushroomcloud into anger, and anger is an emotion she personally doesn't know how to handle. It's easy for her to over react, and do something she would later regret.

Creeksong.
Creeksong is a beautiful lean framed she-cat with tight muscles that ripple beneath her short sleek pelt. Her base coat is a pale dusky brown with the occasional rich dark golden color. She has slightly diluted dark brown tabby markings and her belly is dappled with the same color but instead of stripes they are spots. The only white that is on this warrior is along the riming of her top lips and her bottom jaw before it fades back to a pale brown. Her nose is dark pink and her eyes are green, both rimming with black skin. Creeksong has long strong legs making her stand slightly taller than the average cat, making her a swift runner and hunter. Her tail is thin and long just like the rest of her body with darker brown rings around it and the tip of it being solid dark brown. She has tall triangular ears that are slightly wider than normal giving her an amazing sense of hearing. Creeksong had a silent sweet disposition, with a heart full of fierce loyalty. She is kind and caring and one day wishes to have kits but as of lately she had been considering not to due to how the clan was souring. She is not one to be known to ever raise her voice and when she talks normally her voice is soft on the ears almost like a song, hence her name. Feathercloud.
A dark gray tabby she-cat, with pale patches of a much lighter gray and white. All four of her paws, as well as the tip of her tail, are all while. Her left ear is torn and shredded down the middle, while another scar lines the left side of her muzzle, both from a nasty fight in her apprenticeship days. Like her littermate, she’s quite small and slim, with very delicate features. Her whiskers are long, with long legs. Her eyes are a very pale yellow. Delicate or not, she’s an excellent climber and hunter, and nothing will ever make her back down from a fight. This she-cat loves a challenge and will put everything she has into making sure she succeeds. Loyal to not only her clan but the cats who hold positions of power, she will do whatever it takes to keep her clan fierce and strong. Feathercloud is vicious and sharp-tongued, with a tough attitude to match and a no nonsense mindset. 𝓗𝓸𝓷𝓮𝔂 𝓑𝓮𝓮
Greylily. Despite her somewhat delicate appearances, this is not a cat to be underestimated. With reflexes as fast as the strike of a snake, and an instinct that make her seem moons older than the truth, she might not be able to beat you paw to paw, but given half the chance she's more than capable of giving you the fight of your life. Dainty, slender and quick, this shecat is marked by a silky soft coat of pale smoke grey, almost solid in colour until one looks close enough to spot the faded stripes lacing her frame. Her eyes are a dark amber brown, like the dying embers to the smoke of her coat. Whilst for the most part a good natured cat, she is more than capable when it comes to holding grudges or remembering past grievances. She is intelligent and witty, and knows to make the most of her strengths whilst making sure to minimise her weaknesses. A perfect example of never judge a book by its cover, she is a good friend to those who manage to get close to her, but otherwise its a good idea to keep this fiesty shecat at a foxlength if you have reason to doubt her alliance. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ Littleberry. Petite and plump, this she-cat earned her name by the abnormality of her size - or lack thereof. Nearly every part of her is little in some way: her ears, her paws, most especially her body frame, seemingly stuck in the time of when she was a growing apprentice. Rather than appearing too kitten-like, though, Littleberry is dainty in appearance and in beauty, her soft looks complementing her whole being instead of undervaluing it. She has long fur that is well-kept, though struggled with in the heat, and a pelt that is pristine white with the exception of her two front paws, face, and ears, being a dark brown. Her eyes are sky blue. A tenderhearted she-cat with a distant soul. Littleberry is withdrawn and thoughtful, preferring her own thoughts over listening to others. Though she is kind, she chooses to remain personally guarded from most of her Clanmates, speaking only superficially, not to share what's truly within her heart. This may lead to her being extremely wary of new faces and strangers, no matter if they're Clanborn or not. Because of how difficult it is for her to trust others, she makes up for her reserved attitude by sacrificing much of her time and energy into helping her peers with their problems whenever they ask it of her; this, and her inability of rejecting her Clanmates in fear of hurting their feelings further, leaves her kindness with the possibility of being taken advantage of time and time again. There are few cats who have gained Littleberry's full confidence, and few who have spoken to her candid self. Nevertheless she has determined to stand firmly as a warrior for her Clan, regardless of her feelings towards it. ˏˋ h o s h i e ˎˊ
Mistbreeze. Though average in size, this tom is lithe and elegant, true to his breed of a Siamese cat. His body structure allows him to be adept at running, as he is long-legged and agile, though the addition of an oddly long tail may cause balance issues. His fur is short and fluffy, his pelt the color of an off white, while his paws, tail, face, and ears are a gradient of brown-to-black. His eyes are a deep amber. A dignified tom with a heart and mind of fragility. Renowned from a young age for his maturity and wisdom, Mistbreeze has served his Clan with a steadfast loyalty, never one to criticize harshly or speak shamelessly; rather, he offered charming words that were meant to uplift and encourage his Clanmates, trusting that amiable tensions between cats serve to strengthen the Clan rather than dissolve it. He was recognized mostly by the pleasantries of his voice and appearance, all in a sense of nobility. Due to his gentle, affable personality, it came as no surprise to most that the Clan's most sophisticated tom and its adored leader would come together as loving mates. However, his happiness wilted as quickly as it had blossomed when his beloved mate was met with her premature death, causing a ripple of shock throughout the Clan, and a tear through his unsuspecting heart. Left behind with their precious son, Shadowpaw, and the new leader who wasted no time establishing himself as his mate's replacement, Mistbreeze's grief has yet to be extinguished properly, leaving him emotionally distressed and detached from the rest of the Clan. Although he still tends to the warrior duties he accepted during his beloved's reign, he does not find the same joy in daily activities as he once did, nor does he have the desire to speak the kindly words he once spoke. Instead he is left to silently mourn for the loss of not only his beloved mate and leader, but his dearest friend.
Nightshade. A pure black tom, long and slender in build. His body frame is significantly thinner and much more willowy when compared to other toms, which enables him to excel at sneaking around and going unnoticed by others. He has alluring green eyes. A cunning tom who holds himself with an air of mystery. Nightshade is content in solitude, but doesn't mind interacting with those who actively reach out to him. He is suave, politely so, appearing humorous and inviting, but may come off as suspiciously shrewd to his fellow Clanmates. Though he innocently claims to have nothing but affection towards his peers, his aloof actions and honeyed words may cause others to falter around him, either out of doubt or out of bewilderment. He has a sort of sincere insincerity to him, which keeps others dubious of his true self, whether he happens to be playfully cynical or truly trustworthy; he seems to pride himself on how mistrustful he appears, and pays no mind to rumors or whispers concerning his true intentions within the Clan. He is nonchalant in the face of danger, an attitude that is perhaps intended to invite even more hostility for himself, but Nightshade seems to thrive off of these negative emotions instead, using them to belittle his aggressor for his own amusement. Despite his seemingly dark nature, he retains his manners and remembers to be respectful towards who he deems as important cats in the Clan, from aged elders to new queens, and most honorably, its strong leader.
ˏˋ h o s h i e ˎˊ Sparkflame. An older tom, and whilst the spark of his youth has since faded, this cat has grown into a good natured and fatherly creature, a calm face even during the harshest of storms. Known to have been a particularly vicious and adept fighter during the days of his youth, he maintains the strength and ableness he once had, but prefers times of peace where possible. Not as willing to throw himself headfirst into the battle without aforethought as he once might have been. His intelligence and kind heart make him a reliable friend, and he is not an easy cat to make an enemy of. Dark ginger in colour, his colouration is interrupted by darker stripes of ginger all across his frame, though it is free from any white. His eyes are a soft blueish grey colour. Kind hearted and ready to help anyone however he can, don't underestimate him as soft however. He is both willing and capable of protecting anything he loves, just because he prefers not to, does not mean he wont. He is a veteran warrior, and willing to prove just that where necessary. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ Sweethoney. Quite the fitting name for a cat as loving and kind as she, Sweethoney was once a beloved, devoted, and dedicated warrior. Due to her soft nature, she's not much of a fighter, but her cream colored tabby coat helps her blend into her surroundings almost perfectly, allowing her to be ranked among the best hunters in the clan. But, that was before her...accident; While out hunting, Sweethoney was captured by twolegs and kept in captivity for a while. During her time away, the twolegs had her declawed before she was rescued by her clanmates, forcing her to retire from hunting. Not deterred and with quite a few cats still supporting her, Sweethoney attempted to find other ways to service her clan; tending to the elders, watching over kits while their parents were busy, and occasionally assisting the medicine cats from time to time. Somewhere along the way, she develops what started out as a small crush on Viperstar and, not too long before he became leader, those feelings blossomed into something much stronger. Now, as his mate, Sweethoney still strives to be useful to her clan in some way. She houses a quiet fear that, should she eventually prove to be useless, Viperstar will leave her. Despite seeming oblivious to it, she's very aware of the fact that quite a few cats do not approve of her choice in being with Craterclan's new leader, and, lately, she's been questioning her decision as well. But she reassures herself that Viperstar is a strong, intelligent, dependable tom and she's lucky to have him. Moth's Wish Gorsepaw.
Gorsepaw is a small, meek looking apprentice, who hasn't entirely grown out of his kit fur, and it looks like he never even will. His strength is comparable to that of a birds, meaning he has just about enough strength to get his feet off the ground, and not much else. This tiny tom has thick, fluffy fur, and only a slight difference in coloration on his face, where a brown smear creates a mask on the left side of his face. On the right side there is a small, barely noticeable blonde smear next to his curved ears. He has a bright pink nose and paw pads, and one bright blue eye, and one muddy green eye. Gorsepaw was born prematurely, and as the only kitten that survived from the litter. Having a hard birth gave Gorsepaw health complications at a young age, he was weaker than most, barely having the strength in his legs to stand for long, and his immune system was very low. Gorsepaw had to spend nearly the first 3 moons of his life in and out of the medicine cats den, there were many times that his clan mates thought he was a goner, but miraculously, Gorsepaw made a turn for the better. Now that he is older, Gorsepaw is much stronger, but still not up the standards of his peers. He gets winded easily, and his immune system never recovered, meaning it is very easy for him to get sick. But, despite all of these complications, Gorsepaw still refuses to try to appear weak in front of others. The tiny tom is constantly pushing himself to fight against the expectations others have for him. When others tell him he should take a break to recover his breath, he just puffs out his chest and works twice as hard. Being the only kitten in his litter, and having to spend so much time in the medicine cats den means that Gorsepaw never really learned how to socialize at a young age. This crafted a very quiet, reserved, and incredibly shy tom who fears social interaction. No one is more critical on Gorsepaw than Gorsepaw himself. He is very insecure of himself, but his phobia of interaction means he never had the opportunity to talk to someone about these feelings and work through them.

Shadowpaw
Dark as the night sky with eyes like fire, this black smoke, feather-eared tom gives off a rather...intense first impression. Once known as a cheerful and eager young apprentice, the loss of his parents, Tobedecided and Craterclan's previous leader, has hardened this apprentice and forced him to take his education more seriously. Despite the mysterious circumstances surrounding his parent's death, Shadowpaw has developed a strong admiration of Viperstar and aims to be a strong and capable leader like him one day. Shadowpaw's appearance is haunting to some due to him bearing a strong resemblance to the clan's deceased leader. His huge paws promise a strong, burly warrior once he grows into them, but for now they serve a rather unfortunate disadvantage; As Shadowpaw is not quite used to his size, having recently gone through a growth spurt, he often trips over his own paws. In defiance of this setback, the long-haired tom usually resiliently bounces back to his paws. Fueled by his determination, ambition, and longing to prove himself to his leader and his clan (as well as another hidden goal), Shadowpaw is more than willing to do whatever it takes to protect his clan and rise through the ranks.
Moth's Wish
Spottedpaw.
A remarkably tall she-cat, her large frame being one that is slim and slender, akin to the Savannah cat breed. Her legs are long and appear graceful, but usually cause her to look awkward when she walks or runs. She has large ears that are placed high upon her head, and are rounded rather than pointed. Her pelt is silver with solid black spots, which are oval in shape and flow across her body in a pattern. Her eyes are a sharp forest green. An intelligent she-cat with an endless desire to learn. Spottedpaw is known to have an incredibly curious mind and an inquisitive tongue. She is polite and orderly with her fellow Clanmates, but becomes rather serious if engaged in conversation. Her demeanor is one that emits intelligence and maturity beyond her years; even as a kit she wasn't one for playful fighting or games of make-believe, and still prefers her pursuit of improvement over what she deems as 'infantile distractions'. Confident in her already vast knowledge, she often corrects others when she deems it appropriate to, which may lead her into some trouble with older ones, or those who tend to become offended easily. Although she may come off as smart-aleck, many do well to remember that she's simply a young she-cat with an eagerness to teach and to learn from her mistakes, and is still innocent in both intentions and in heart. As an apprentice, she strives for excellence and harbors a slight superiority complex, especially when pitted against other apprentices she deems as too 'kit-like' to equal her. With her mentor's patient guidance and her Clan's support, Spottedpaw is bound to grow into a strong, cunning warrior when her time comes.

Puddleheart.
This recently named warrior discovered early on that it was her dream to be a mother, and so, even at a rather young age, Puddleheart retired from her warrior duties to become a queen. This long furred molly is a light silver and white mackerel tabby, the silver coloring upon her coat being very faint. The majority of her coat is a soft white, this color being present all along her chest, underbelly and paws. She has a mask of smokey grey that covers her pale green eyes. Puddleheart has a long bushy tail that compliments her very fluffy, thick coat. She has a plump, but rather small build, looking a little shorter than a warrior is expected to. She could be considered over weight, but it's a trait she heeds no mind to, in fact, it's just more nutrition for her kits. Puddleheart is a wonderful mother, after all, it's all she's ever wanted to be. At a young age Puddleheart fell in love, and almost as soon as she became a warrior she retired to have her first litter. She has a very gentle, and nurturing spirit, never a cat to lift a claw against even an enemy, and often being too emotionally distraught to go hunting, weeping that 'those birds and mice have families too!' Indeed, Puddleheart is a cry baby, being overly emotional is one of her greatest faults. It's hard to make her listen to reason or do the logical thing. But, this emotionally heavy personality can also be a great trait as well. Puddleheart is very protective of her kits, almost to an extreme. She never feels comfortable leaving someone else to watch them, and she is always hovering over them when they are allowed out of the nursery. She would throw away her own life if it meant keeping her little ones safe... Puddleheart is known to also grow unusually cold and cruel to anyone who she feels a threat to her kids, often taking amoral stances against such individuals. For instance, if there are any outsiders roaming in the territory, Puddleheart immediately jumps to violent means, either driving them far, or in some cases, heavily wounding them. Even though Puddleheart herself would never do these things, she advocates for the warriors doing such. But these opinions don't come from a place of malice, rather of fear of keeping her kits safe. Amberkit. Amberkit takes a lot of pride in being the 'oldest' of his litter. Even if he is only older by a couple of minutes. This spunky young kitten is a tabby and white tom, carrying the usual tabby pattern all along his back, a majority of his face, and as splashes on his legs. The rest of him is a soft white, like his mothers coat. He has a bushy tail that will develop to be very long, and already has a healthy body structure. With the right training, Amberkit will develop strong muscles, making him a toughened warrior. Amberkit has deep amber eyes, of which he receives his name after. Amberkit is your usual, run of the mill kit, full of energy, bouncing off the walls, and not a stranger to getting into a bit of mischief. Amberkit thinks very highly of himself, almost so much so that it's annoying. He would proudly stand to square off against a warrior in paw-to-paw combat, and when he loses he'll get back up and do it again. He is a natural born leader, even if he's not very good at it. He's always the first to stand up and try something dangerous first. He can be a bit of a bully, but this is only because he hasn't grown to understand the difference between right and wrong yet. His parents are hoping that as he grows older he'll 'settle down' a bit, so to speak. But, they're going to have to accept that this tom is as head strong as they come. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ
Lionkit.
A rather haunting image to his mother, Lionkit could surely serve as his father's double when he comes of age. Sporting the same pale, sandy colored, short, dense fur as Jaggedclaw, the only physical resemblance to his mother the young kit expresses are the green flecks in his eyes; painting them a dark greenish-amber. His strong legs and lean figure make him an excellent climber/jumper and a fast runner; Those attributes coupled with his fawn coat promise an exceptional hunter in the future. Being as stubborn and headstrong as his brother, Amberkit, the two are often at odds when it comes to making decisions. Despite this, Lionkit loves all of his siblings and, is usually the one to back his brother up whenever Amberkit's mouth and bossy attitude gets them into trouble. Like any typical kit, he loves chasing play fighting with his siblings but can, occasionally, be a bit too rough with them; he doesn't mean to though and is always willing to apologize. This intelligent, independent, loyal, and confident young tom is sure to be a very good addition to the clan; but his confidence paired with his stubbornness produces a kit who will, if he truly believes he's right, will argue his point until his last breath, which will most certainly make him a rather difficult apprentice. Morningkit.
Average in size this she-cat is a wonderful blend of both her parents. Her pale tabby golden pelt is short in length with a slpash if white on her muzzle that broadens along her jaw line and continues down her chest. Her back to paws are also white but returns to a pale golden tabby a little bit above her feet. Morningkit has rounded facial features and amber eyes that never seem to miss a thing. She is very inquisitive and though quiet for the most part she a little know it all. This little kit is always sneaking around trying to figure everything about life out, and when with someone she trusts she asks a million little questions trying to solve all the little mysteries that run through her mind. If not in the nursery or with her littermates you can be assured that she is in the elders den with Lostgaze listening to his stories and asked her questions. Mottledkit.
Patches of diluted brown, gray, white, and ginger mix and smear throughout her pelt, which earned this young kit her name. Her fur is long and fuzzy, giving off the illusion that she's larger than she really is, with a sweeping tail that is feathery. Her eyes are a pale olive green. A she-kit who prefers dreams over reality. Being considerably less active than her littermates, Mottledkit is instead content with sleeping the day away rather than play-wrestling or pretend-hunting. She is a heavy napper who enjoys snuggling up with her mother at any opportunity she has; she is perhaps the most affectionate out of Puddleheart's litter. Because of her lethargic personality, her siblings may find it amusing to tease her until she becomes upset and gives into their demands of playtime. Mottledkit also seems to have inherited her mother's strong emotional tendencies, as she is rather faint-hearted on her own and becomes distressed when she is apart from her family for too long. She has already developed interest in medicine cat duties, as she finds the scents coming from the medicine cat den to be quite soothing (enough to make her drowsy) and will occasionally sneak off to take a peek inside. Though she seems to be a relatively timid kit, with time Mottledkit will blossom into a peaceable she-cat with a just heart. Lostgaze.
One look at this battle scarred blind tom is all one needs to know that he rightfully earned his seniority. Scars of all shapes and sizes zig-zag across his fawn colored pelt, much like the tabby stripes adorning his face and legs. Lostgaze serves as living proof of what happens when cats step out of line under Viperstar's rule, although, no one would know it. You see, Lostgaze wasn't always called by this shameful name. He was once Sagewhisker, a brave, brash, obnoxious, brutally honest warrior, just as well-known for his arrogance as he was for his battle prowess. During Viperstar's time as deputy, Lostgaze had admittedly talked down both behind the new leader's back and to his face; Demeaning his ability to properly lead the clan one day and even claiming himself to be superior. Once Viperstar became leader, Lostgaze continued his trash talking, even more so than before, and tried to circulate rumors that Craterclan's new leader had something to do with the disappearance of their previous one. One day, however, Lostgaze was finally silenced; He'd left camp to go hunting and did not return. He was found by a patrol a few days later, blinded and practically dying of thirst. When questioned as to what led to his injuries and absence, Lostgaze uncharacteristically remained silent, and has not spoken much (other than uttering a few phrases here and there) since the day he disappeared. Despite his handicap and status as an elder, Lostgaze still makes attempts to provide for his clan and usually hunts for himself and the other elders. However, whenever he's aware of Viperstar's presence, he quickly retreats to the elder's den, refusing to leave until his leader has exited the camp clearing.

Following the unexpected death of our previous leader, a new cat has come to the head of CraterClan, whilst young his determination and insistence on making his clan the best it has ever been, ensures most of his clanmates that he will be a fine leader for the Clan. But those certainties begin to fade for even the loyalest of cats. As Viperstar begins making decisions that have remained tradition within the Clan for as long as anyone can remember. Kits are apprenticed younger, queens and their kits are no longer fed first, and elders are regarded with disdain. Those who voice worries or concerns are silenced with excuses or promises its only for a short while. And for now cats accept that as truth. But just as things are beginning to feel normal again, cats begin turning up dead. Nay sayers, the elderly, injured and weak go missing one at a time. And those who question it soon follow suit. Until eventually, there are few doubts as to who is behind all of this death, and by the time this realisation comes about. Most are too scared to speak out against it. As the clan faces more and more losses, and darkness seeps through the borders at every turn. The question falls as to who will make a stand, before its too late and the clan is left to crumble.

Viperstar - - - Character {Tag} Character {Tag} Greylily - - - Character {Tag} Character {Tag} Sparkflame - - - Character {Tag} Character {Tag} Returning to camp with a grimace lighting his expression, the senior warrior with a coat made of flames was limping as he walked. Carried tight in his jaws was the carcass of an African hare, dangling in his jaws making his mouth salivate at the thought of breakfast. After the ordeal he'd had in order to take the creature down, he felt the least he deserved was a meal to fill his belly. In his attempts to take down the hare, Sparkflame had made the mistake of not taking too much care as to where he placed his paws. The result of which was he'd missed the hole that almost broke his leg. Luck alone had prevented worse injury, and he was thankful for that. Though frustrated with himself that he'd been foolish enough to gain such an injury. If anyone asks, he'd already made the decision, I got into a fight with a lioness who wanted to steal the hare. His whiskers twitched at the thought - building up some dramatic; lifesaving event that he'd barely scraped out of with his life, and she was worse off from the fight. Keeping his gaze fixed on the ground underfoot, not wanting to make eye contact with a clanmate and bring with it a flood of unwanted questions. There was no need to cause unnecessary concern or wastage of herbs over what had been a rather simple mistake that hadn't brought on too many consequences. Leave herbs for the cats who have the basic sense to look where their putting their paws. He grumbled amusedly to himself, flicking his tail from side to side. Depositing the catch on the fresh kill pile, and settling in a shaded area of camp to cool down from the early morning excursion. His gaze wandered in the direction of the leader's den, hesitating as he caught sight of it. And I don't think Viperstar would take his warriors getting injured too lightly. As minor as the 'injury' was, their new leader had already demonstrated a dislike of the weak. And Sparkflame had no reason to bring attention to himself.

(Sorry if these aren't the best, I'm not great at character descriptions. Let me know if anything needs to be changed/fixed!)
Brackenfrost A pale gray tabby tom, with long, fluffy fur. Brackenfrost has a rather timid and gentle demeanor compared to his sister. Their relationship isn’t the best, but no matter how bitter Feathercloud might be, he still cares about her. All he wants is for his sister to realize how nasty her attitude is and that it’s not what the clan needs. 𝓗𝓸𝓷𝓮𝔂 𝓑𝓮𝓮
Medicine Cat The brother of Feathercloud. Reference:
Feathercloud A dark gray tabby she-cat, with pale patches of a much lighter gray and white. All four of her paws, as well as the tip of her tail, are all while. Her left ear is torn and shredded down the middle, while another scar lines the left side of her muzzle, both from a nasty fight in her apprenticeship days. Like her littermate, she’s quite small and slim, with very delicate features. Her whiskers are long, but unlike Brackenfrost, her legs are not so short. Whether Brackenfrost is her littermate or not, she’s embarrassed to be seen talking to him and avoids him as much as possible. To her, he’s weak and spineless, someone who doesn’t deserve her attention. 𝓗𝓸𝓷𝓮𝔂 𝓑𝓮𝓮

Viperstar - - - Character {Tag} Character {Tag} Retreating from the cool shadows of his den, into the burning heat of early morning Africa, the pale furred tom cat moved with a casual elegance. The ease with which he moved might have been considered forced on another cat, but Viperstar looked completely at home. As though he merely needed to cast his gaze upon something to claim ownership over it. The tom cat had always been a cocky one, but this trait seemed to have multiplied since his elevation to the status of leader. Despite having only had his nine lives a matter of moons, Viperstar acted as though the role had been his since birth. Commanding the role in a manner that others considered annoying, but his determination to make the clan great was endearing to others. Though the extent was yet to be shown, for now the majority of the clan respected their leader and looked forward to the reign he would bring CraterClan. Others who thought otherwise had already quickly learned to keep their opinions to themselves. His gaze catching the limping form of Sparkflame as he returned to camp, the leader's contemplative glance lingered not on the hurting warrior, but the prey he delivered and the pile itself. Pitiful, he grumbled to himself with a flick of his pale brown tail. We should be doing better now Newleaf is upon us, dissapointment and distaste lit his heart, though his expression remained neutral for the time being. For now a fault as small as this could be easily ignored, easily fixed with the rallying of a patrol with the intention of hunting. But not one he would readily see repeated. Casting his gaze around camp once more, lifting himself to his paws and stretching out with a quiet yawn. Now to find willing participants. But his thoughts went not to warriors, but to the medicine cat den. Where he could hear the beginning of shuffling that indicated someone was awake within. He approached with a flick of his tail, pushing his head through the ivy covered entrance without awaiting permission as he called into the shadows. "Brackenfrost, MedApprentice, I'm taking out a patrol." Never a tom to use ten words where two would do just as well. "Do you wish to accompany and find herbs, or is there anything we need to keep an eye out for." He questioned with a flick of his tail. Impatient already, his paws itching to get outside.

The rise of a new leader was often both a sad and joyful event. Sad to see the older leader join their ancestors in Starclan, but happy that they had fulfilled their duty proudly to their clan. It was always heavily anticipated how the next leader would take to their newfound role. Viperstar, perhaps, took to the role a little too eagerly for Brackenfrost's taste.
One of the clan members who were forced to silence their opinions on the matter, Brackenfrost disliked the confidence that showed in every step that the tom took, every word he spoke. Confidence was fine enough to have as a quality, but not quite like this. There was a very fine line between confidence and arrogance--Viperstar was a little too close to that line, like an apprentice testing the clan's borders for the first time.
It didn't sit well with him.
Brackenfrost was a master of pushing things to the back of his mind, however, in order to focus on his work. The morning was warm and growing hotter as he sorted herbs within the cool space of his den. I should gather herbs soon, before it grows too hot, he thought. With newleaf not only came more prey and plants, but also a heat so intense it sometimes threatened to shrivel his supplies. Some herbs needed to be gathered in the morning, others long before the sun rises.
The sound of the leader's stiff, not too friendly voice made the medicine cat jump to his paws. He spun his head to look back toward the den's entrance. ”Oh. Hello, Viperstar,” he greeted the leader politely. Viperstar looked like he always did: strong, confident and powerful. Intimidating, Brackenfrost added with a small flick of his tail. While he would rather go alone, he wasn't about to turn down the leader's offer. ”My other work can wait for now. There are some herbs we're running low on, so I'll join you.”
”Who else will be joining us?” Viperstar was not his favorite cat, but there were others in the clan he was also not very fond of.
