Rosebite took a few moments to think over her plans, confirming them with herself first and then speaking. "Perhaps a few hunting parties and maybe a patrol. Nothing particularly out of the norm I suppose. What do you ask for?" she looked to Rabbit only slightly curious. She was mainly only trying to make conversation, shifting herself to a lower position, just so conversation wasn't too awkward with the smaller dog.

Rabbit tail dropped hearing the deep voice from behind. She let out a small yelp surprised to see the leader. Her voice caught up in her throat slightly nervous by having two large dogs attention. Rabbit looked at her paws avoiding Rosebite gaze as it was made apparent Wolfboss took the words right out her mouth.”Not exactly challenge, but just small play.” Even though she might be impulsive Rabbit was full aware of the obstacles that a small dog may have to face. She looked up puffing her chest out gaining some of her courage back,”I don't need my mentor I can make my own decisions without her.”

Rosebite seemed rather unphased at the sudden appearance of the leader. "Your mentor is there to keep you safe and out of trouble. You do need her." she replied, now turning and adjusting her position for a second time to see the leader and Rabbit both rather than just one of them. She also figured it impolite to not face Wolfboss at this point, he was part of the conversation now after all.

Sunlight dappled on the collie's merle coat, a sort of unintentional camouflage as she lay stretched contentedly on an outcropping of rock, overlooking the packs camp. Her mismatched eyes watched with that intensity that was purely her own, and though her posture seemed relaxed every muscle was coiled, like a snake ready to strike, beneath her mottled pelt. Her ears stood erect atop of her head, flopping slightly at the tip, the longer fur at their base and along her nape ruffling in the wind. She could hear other pack members moving about, talking in their low tones. The petulant voice of the young 'Rabit' reached her, a low grumbling growl aimed more at the thought of the younger canine than at the individual herself. Wildpelt hade never had pups of her own, so seemingly lacked the maternal instincts of many femmes, the likelihood of finding another she could tolerate for long enough to consider taking as a mate seemed unlikely in her own mind. One day perhaps, but she wouldn't hold her breath.
Pushing these thoughts aside, she rose, stretching in a low bowing motion and shaking some of the tension from her body. Turning away from the pack towards the forest proper, where she knew the location of a large warren of plump rabbits. She was a surprisingly good hunter, putting the wind in front of her so that her scent did not forewarn them of her approach, her body slunk low, keeping below the longer grass until she was in visual range of the frolicking creatures, here she lay in wait. Watching, waiting for the right moment to launch from her concealed spot and snap her jaws around the neck of an unsuspecting victim.
It did not take long and she was returning to the den in no time at all, a fat cottontail hanging limply from her jaws, the russety coloured fur stained slightly with blood. The concept of sharing a kill was still new and the temptation to wolf down the carcass was strong, the coppery taste of blood tormenting her and raising a hunger she had previously been unaware of. Instead, she dropped her prize in the centre of the camp that had become her home, still uncertain of the correct etiquette and almost as uncaring about following it.

Wolfboss' eyes narrowed at Rabbit's response, and he nodded in agreement with his underboss. "Rosebite is right. Strongbite will make sure you're safe while you're still training as an associate. I highly doubt a house dog could put up much of a fight against any of us, but it doesn't mean they wouldn't try." He laughed dryly, his whiskers twitching in amusement. His gaze turned to Wildpelt, returning from her hunt. He appreciated her skills in hunting. This was why she was a capo. He glanced between her and Rosebite, before signaling to their fresh kill pile with his tail. "Rosebite, Wildpelt, you may eat now with me."

Rosebite nodded, standing slowly, though she idled to wait for the Boss to take his pick first. She wasn't one to rush anyways. Instead, while waiting, she nodded to Rabbit as a short-lived goodbye.

Rabbit ended up biting her tongue, even if she wanted to give a cheeky reply, she remembered her ranking compared to the others. She glumly turned her head in an attempt to hide her reaction just in time to see Wildpelt dropping the rabbit. Rabbit face furrowed together as she couldn't help but to notice the uncanny resemblance between her and the prey. Instead of being frightened she ended up gushing with exicitment, her eyes gleaming with admiration for the capo. Rabbit couldn't help but to idolize the collie. She effortlessly looked cool. Shifting onto her feet taking note of the slight dismissal she bowed her head. With a small chirp of a goodbye Rabbit was off to poke her nose into trouble.

The collie rested back, waiting for the go-ahead of the Boss in that silent way that she had, where she seemed to sit as still as stone, only her mismatched eyes drifting to follow the departure of the younger canine. Many of the individuals in the pack were aloof, with the tension of strangers forced together by circumstance, they had yet to really become a family and this only added to the oddly patterned fea's own tension.
With the permission of the Boss, she took up the carcass of the rabbit she had lain down only a moment before. Her teeth sunk easily into the flesh of the animal, her mouth filling with that metallic taste of rapidly cooling blood. Once she had finished her meal, she sat back on her haunches and surveyed the surroundings, awaiting any orders from their leader. She was one of few words, for the most part. Generally not speaking unless spoken to.

Wolfboss took a squirrel for himself, his yellow eyes taking on a savage gleam of hunger the moment the taste and smell of the prey's blood soaked into his senses. He signaled with his tail for Wildpelt and Rosebite to join him while he sat down. It didn't take him long to tear into the fresh kill and eat everything on it, laying down to gnaw on one of the remaining bones while he waited for Rosebite to finish her meal so they could discuss plans for the day.
Strongbite had laid down in the crack between two of the large rocks that the Wild Gang slept on, content to let the sun soak into her black fur, but she couldn't help but hear the yips of her small associate, and she lifted her head to search out Rabbit. She stood up and spotted her, sniffing around the camp. She trotted to join her, the unpredictable pitbull mix, sniffing at Rabbit's ear in greeting. "What did Wolfboss and Rosebite say? I was drifting in and out of sleep."

Without looking up Rabbit responded,”Just a few words on the importance about my mentor taking care of me.”Walking alongside her mentor she gave a sideways glance. Changing The topic rather quickly she asked.”What are we going to do today Strongbite?”

Rosebite took a rabbit from the pile. It wasn't took long before she'd reduced it something close enough to bones. She then steadied her posture, sitting up and looking to Wolfboss. She'd clean herself iff at a later time, perhaps after they discussed the schedule for the day.

Strongbite glanced back toward the Boss and his small gathering of high ranking dogs, likely discussing patrol plans. "Unless we get put on patrol, I'll take you hunting." She replied, licking her lips at the thought of sinking her teeth into some prey. She was quite fond of showing her associate how to hunt, even though she mainly kept the small dog as a hunter of mice and birds, if they were lucky enough to reach one. "Then we can go swimming." She added, her tail wagging at the thought of letting the cool lake water soak into her short black fur.
Wolfboss pointed his nose to Wildpelt, then to Rosebite. "You two will lead a patrol into the plains. I saw geese landing there yesterday. One of those would feed most of the pack. If you run into one of those pet patrols, I trust you will be able to stake our territory further with them." He growled. The wolfdog, even with all the space in the forest, found himself incredibly territorial as though he was still living on the streets in the city of his puppyhood. If it weren't for the opposing pack's numbers, he would try to fight them himself. "I will watch camp with Gentlebreeze."
(We can have a pack run-in. >:3 Also, I'm gonna add an infected dog character into the mix to stir things up.)

Rabbit eyes followed Strongbite's gaze to the patrol. Quickly she boasted,”You and me on patrol we can take out squadron by ourselves.”Even if it was an empty threat in her heart Rabbit was dead set serious. Her ears perked up excitedly when her mentor mentioned swimming.”But going sw-hunting would be more important for the pack.”She bounced around Strongbite's side her tail fanning back and forth."So let's go!"

Rosebite nodded sharply. Rising from her seat before she looked to Wildpelt, following after her. She debated bringing along Rabbit and Storngbite but supposed a patrol of two would suffice.

Rosebite did, it was her job after all and any sort of lack in that may show weakness. The dane took her lead, making sure she didn't take to many large steps, leaving the collie behind. She moved through the territory quietly, scenting and tracking the area.
