How do you feel about this situation?
I mean, I know it goes against the code, but it's not like it's entirely out of character. Keep in mind that this was the same cat who had to defend a pregnant she-cat against him, nearly got killed by Breeze himself, Breezepelt was happy that his sister died, and he tried to kill Lionblaze, the only sibling he has left. It's cold, yes, but Breezepelt wanted to do criminal actions to make his life miserable.

It doesn't bother me as much as it would've because he still gave the herb in the end. Regardless of how he felt about Breezepelt (Which is justified, what with the Moonpool thing and everything after), Jayfeather is still a medicine cat and thus it's pretty much more-or-less part of their moral code to not let personal feelings interfere with work, ya know, like any other doctor?
He can hate Breezepelt, he has a reason and right to, but it's still his job to help cats. So those that say he should've gone against that just to let Breezepelt die because they don't like him is very ech to me.

I don’t condone Breeze’s actions against Jay prior to CT, but I thought Jay was stooping to his level by refusing to give the herb. Medicine cats are supposed to be above that sort of thing.

Jayfeather certainly has his darker side let's say that. Like this underrated quote so wonderfully captures:

Jayfeather certainly has his darker side let's say that. Like this underrated quote so wonderfully captures: Jayfeather is the only consistent cat in the whole series. I completely forgot he had a "darker side" to him. Interesting catch, there.

Honestly he only refused at first to make a point. Jayfeather really isn't the type of cat to let anyone die--even one as miserable as Breezepelt.

Seems a bit in character, but like others have said, Jayfeather wouldn't let any cat die.
